I have the v2 of this but lost a piece so ordered this to use. Was pleasently surprised they seem to have resolved ALL the issues I had with my other one. This is perfect for making protein shakes and I feel like I can trust putting it in my bag filled up whereas the older one I wouldn’t trust. Nice produc

I love this thing, it’s only good at one thing, but it does it well. It’s less hassle than settling up a blender or mixer every time you need a protein shake, and it seems to retain its charge well, so you don’t need to constantly charge it. Would buy again.
Totally worth the money – after looking at a couple similar shakers I ultimately decided this one based on the reviews. I can testify that it works exactly as demonstrated with a fast motor and easy to clean bottle, as well as easy portable charging via USB. I use this at home and the gym and my favourite part is the capsule that comes with it for protein powder storage – it fits inside the bottle which is extremely useful. I would highly recommend this, used it to mix all kinds of things just don’t bother with anything too thick like whole bananas.
On my third one now and generally love these but my only complaint would be the plastic material used is a bit brittle. When loaded (liquid and motor), if this is accidentally dropped from any height above a meter, it is likely to crack especially around the Motor/flask connection area. In my picture, this time the crack stopped short of flask filling area but previous went straight up and meant fluid leakage.
Support very helpful however whenever I’ve dealt with them!
Would be very interested in metal version if one ever came about!
I love how it guarantees no clumps after just a 15 second or so cycle! Its pretty quiet so all you morning people can whip up whatever in silence. If i had to explain the noise its like an electric toothbrush but more of a lower grumble which isn’t irritating. And the to go capsule is a great idea so you can freshly make what you want at the gym without the protein shake getting old for when you get there (You know what i mean?) basically, its a great sturdy useful product and i definitely recommend it.
Ordered for same-day delivery – arrived as expected! Opened the parcel and the first thing I did was scan the card that was inside so I can register for a 1-year warranty; now I have that peace of mind that if it does mess up in a few months…..its covered under warranty. Just used it today for the first time and it works really well. Added 30g of whey protein with 3 teaspoons of flaxseeds with oat milk – it mixed perfectly within 5-10 seconds…no lumps at all! To rinse it I added some water, a drop of detergent and span it for 10 seconds. Then I removed the motor and gave the cup a quick hand wash and all was done. Its a bit loud (I used it in the office lol) but, that’s not an issue. Defo recommend this.

Price is a little higher than extra but otherwise must try.
I can take two scoops of MP whey isolate with almond milk and motor will move (black felt), whereas the new one (orange rubber base) will work 50% of the time if I’m lucky. I have to get a knife in there and start stirring before it works. I haven’t tried doing one scoop + milk then mix then add. Hassle though. I also haven’t compared the motor tech specs to see if this is accurate and unfortunately meant to be like this or just bad luck.
When it works, it’s great though, no lumps. Very easy to clean. Rinse with warm water, fairly liquid in and motor on. Haven’t had any problems with my leaking but haven’t take on the go or chucked in a bag.
Bought this for my partner for his g fuel shakes but could be used for protein shakes easy, effortless and easy to use , charge lasts ages
But it’s perfect for simple protein shakes. Water and powder.
However, the charging port doesn’t look as advertised. I am not a fan of the rubber cover that you pull out – it’s flimsy and they often break or eventually stop being able to be reinserted leaving the port exposed.
So for the lack of a metal/ sharp ‘blade’, and difference in port cover, it has been demoted to a 4-star product. It’s great not perfect for me overall. If you don’t care about the aspects I’ve mentioned then it should be perfect for your protein powder needs.
I’ll update on performance and longevity later – maybe in a year, who knows or just when it breaks.
Now, I don’t use protein powders, but I do use energy drink powder, which is why I got this.
It does exactly what it says it does, the only small issue I have with it is that the button to start/stop seems a little weird. The button will start just fine but you have to really find the sweet spot to turn it off, when I first got it and this happened I thought I’d already broke it or it was defective.
Upon finding this little sweet spot myself, I decided that it is whatever and it works, so I am happy with it overall.
Really impressed with the power of this. No more walking round shaking your arms around like you’re mixing a cocktail just set it going and drop your powder into the vortex created and less than a minute later you’re done and without any clumps or powder residue round the rim. Do remember when buying though it is just a mixer and not a blender it’s plastic/rubber and will not chop anything up. It’s very well built and sturdy and with the added bonus of a container which fits inside the the bottle. Had it rolling around in my bag once or twice full and it’s never leaked as the lid fits very well. Used it plenty of times and only had charge it once so impressed with that too and the base can be detached for easy charging.
Huge difference in taste when using this mixer, as opposed to the standard shaker bottles. No lumps left and the protein shake is noticeably better tasting and easier to drink.
It’s also very easy to clean, just follow the simple instructions in the manual. Not sure if this is dishwasher safe, but I wouldn’t. Just stick to the cleaning instructions provided with the manual. Just make sure you do not get the base wet, as it isn’t waterproof. Always keep the base dry and you shouldn’t have any issues. Make your shake, disconnect the base and put it aside. Same after cleaning the mixer. In my opinion, I do not think you should be using this to mix fruits together with your shake, just stick to the water/milk and the powder. And maybe a little peanut butter, but don’t make it too thick.
Battery life is quite satisfactory and the motor is very powerful. Not much else to say. I just hope it has a long lifespan, as this mixer is a must have.
I am not a major gym goer, in fact I don’t go to the gym at all but workout every morning for 30 minutes. In an attempt to shift some excess weight I have replaced my lunch with a protein shake (Reflex Protein Pro – very good). In the past it was a pain – leaving the office to go into the kitchen to blend and mix it all together. It didn’t save me time and was an inconvenience to the point I would often forget to go.
However, with this little fella you can fill your protein holder that sits inside the bottle in a morning, drop some milk/water in and leave it in a fridge. Then, when needed, it is a simple matter of dropping in the protein and pressing the mixer button.
I had expected the motor to run loud, be underpowered, or always running out of charge. This hasn’t been the case. The consistency is absolutely perfect for my needs, it is convenient and feels solid in the hand. The workmanship and careful design is apparent and for the money I am really happy with it.
Like any protein mixer, always rinse out straight after use. It stops that weird smell sticking to the plastic and is much easier to clean this way.
If this is what you are looking for drop the money on it and buy now you won’t be disappointed.
My initial reservation were soon dampened, I can say this has been one of my best purchases, it is an excellent product.
The pros-
-Excellently made, good materials, absolutely does not leak, everything is high quality as can be for a shaker.
-Good size, the motor unit is tiny and easily clips on or off.
-No leaks anywhere.
-Easy to clean, 5secs with a bottle brush or just use the motor to spin some washing up liquid around.
-Good battery life.
-Ive used this for scrambled eggs, protein shakes, banana shakes (banana needs squishing first in skin) i had no problem with thick shakes. Bullet proof coffees with cold milk first I wouldn’t put boiling water in first for safety.
I don’t have cons but what I have observed or would like-
-The actual blade should be made stronger, it does it’s job but why not a harder plastic one or metal.
-no reason that a future model cant have a stronger motor and blade. Saying that this is a protein shaker and it does it’s job excellently and then some.
A warning some colours I think the blue one still come with a micro USB, I’d make sure you get the USB C version.
You get one years warranty when you register.
I think if you look after this it should last a while.

This one has plenty of power and makes them perfectly smooth!
A small note that might worry you the same as it did to me: when doing these kind of powders, the amount of powder and the amount of water needed are actually so much that the vortex might “close” at the top, so that even while functioning you see the surface of the water “still”.
That is actually not a problem, just close it and move it around while in function, even upside down if you want, and it will shake perfectly.
Also, this is the only one I found actually self cleans pretty well!
My way of doing it is:
1) Pour a tiny amount of detergent in the empty shaker
2) Fill it with water almost to the top
3) Close and turn it on for 20-30 seconds, moving it around like when mixing
4) Remove the motor (to ensure it never gets wet)
5) Open and remove all soap with water
Be careful that there is a small catch here: for this to be effective, you need to clean it very shortly after consuming your shake! The timing really depends on the powder of course, but I found that usually if left dirty, all powders will dry and stick to the shaker within an hour, and at that point the motor alone won’t be enough to clean, you’ll have to scrub with a sponge.
The battery is very long-lasting as well, I would roughly estimate that a fully charged one will make you more than 60 shakes before needing a charge.
Overall, great product, I now use it 2 to 3 times a day!
Returning to the gym in 2021, I wanted a way of getting a smooth protein drink. Those metal balls in the bottom of a shaker bottle do not work 100%- yes they improve the consistency over just shaking but often you are still left with bits.
This device works by creating a vortex of water into which you tip the powder. Result? Perfectly smooth protein shake ! You charge the device by the USB cable supplied and the motor is detachable from the bottom for cleaning
Criticisms :
1) in 2021 you should be making it out of plastic which is heat resistant and therefore dishwasher safe . For that reason I’m knocking off a star. “The Blender bottle” brand in the Us has been doing this for years (also BPA free plastic ), so why not here ? I loath hand washing and just want to put everything in the dishwasher
2) the pod supplied for the powder is not large enough as others have said . Check out a standard size scoop from any leading brand and you will see the powder does not fit into the pod
Fix these two niggles and you have an outstanding product !
You might think to yourself, what is the point in this product when you can just shake your bottle? Well, everybody knows how hard it is to swallow a lumpy protein shake. No matter how much you shake your protein, a low quality shaker will never allow you to taste perfection unless you have a blender at your disposal.
The Promix Miixr makes this a reality. It uses its own motorised x-blade technology and creates a Vortex in the water which finely blends your protein powder, removing all of the lumps in a matter of seconds. The x-blade itself is very powerful, fast and lasts a long time before needing a recharge. I was able to blend 2 scoops of Golds Standard Whey without an issue.
Speaking of the volume of scoops, the Promix is not designed to blend anything that is hard as the blade itself is plastic. This goes for a large volume of protein powder as well as it does eventually struggle to blend thicker substances such as mass gainers. This is mostly due to its limited capacity to hold water without the vortex overflowing and the fact that the blade is plastic. The tipping point of the liquid is 400ml when it is activated, therefore 350ml is recommended.
The blade however avoids this issue if you follow the instruction manual. Many of the reviewers here failed to follow the instruction manual which is what caused a lumpy shake.
For example, if you put the protein powder in before the water and blend, it will create a sloppy protein shake due to the powder being stuck on the blade. Therefore, the correct way you are meant to do it is by pouring 350ml of water, turn it on until you create the vortex and then applying your powder until it is fine. It is suited to blend eggs, milk, protein powder, coffee or even make your own cocktails.
While this vortex mixer is pretty nich, it has made consuming enough protein while working 12 hour shifts a whole lot easier. Merely drinking the protein is easier and only takes a couple gulps because of how fine it is.
But on top of that, the Promix Miixr Pro is more than just a vortex mixer, but a storage device that allows you to store your protein powder or supplements in the provided nutripod at your convenience, which also helps keep your cup clean instead of having dry protein powder sitting in it all day.
The Nutripod fastens very tightly and prevents any wasted powder from escaping. It also contains slits at the lid which enables you to have the nutripod inside of the bottle while you drink it. The only downside of the nutripod is it only holds about one 33g-40g scoop of powder, therefore if you require more you may just have to store the excess powder in the cup.
The Promix Miixr is made of very high quality, premium feeling plastic material that is BPA and DEHP free, meaning that it is non toxic to humans.
The cup is lightweight but heavier than your typical bottle which may be problematic for some people using this at the gym. It is also wider at the base making it harder to grip than your typical bottle and the plastic is prone to condensation making it quite slippery, therefore a sleeve is ideal. Although due to the nature of the condensation, water remains colder for longer. The top lid also contains a lip which allows you to attach a piece of string or keyring which makes it easier to hold. Currently I use it with a keyring extender which allows me to clip it onto things and makes it easier to carry.
It holds a volume of 600ml of liquid, but it is recommended to only add 350ml of liquid to create the perfect vortex as the water rises slightly when powder is added to the water while the blade is activated.
On the underside of the cup there is an anti-slip base which ensures that the cup wont topple on any surface. While the top side of the cup contains an air-sealed lid which ensures that no liquid is going to escape from the bottle and a larger mouth piece, allowing you to get more gulps in quicker.
The colour of the cup comes in a stylish white, the plastic is a tinted colour and becomes more transparent when the vortex is activated.
It is very easy to clean. All you need is some cleaning liquid, fill it with water and activate the vortex. The nutripod only needs rinsed as well. The plastic can retain water however, therefore ensure it is dried each time with a dish towel.
The only downside of this mixer is that it gets slippery, but a sleeve helps and the fact that it is heavier than your typical bottle. But also, the price. It is pricier at 40, but as a one time purchase I say it is worth it for the convenience it provides.
Overall, I love this mixer. While it has a very specific intended purpose, you will be able to appreciate the difference in a very thin protein shake opposed to a thick lumpy one. Even if protein shakes are not your thing and you want an easy way to blend eggs, make cocktails or coffee, then this is for you and therefore I highly recommend it.
The only 3 things I’ve noticed really is that it feels like I’m going to crack the plastic when I click the wizzer onto the bottom.
The other thing is I LOVED the idea of the pod being able to be kept inside but you can still drink your made up shake. But, as it drops so low into the shaker it’s no good if you have quite a lot of water (some official measurements would have been good from Promixx). Also the shake I have at the moment is soo foamy that when I put less water in so I could put the pod in, it still made the foam spill out over the sides which isn’t ideal, but that’s more to do with the shake i’m using.
Lastly, the pod diameter is too small compared to my protein scoop size, which is pretty annoying as it means protein falls around the sides so topping it back up I’m not being accurate with how many g of powder I’m getting. Though again this isn’t really promixx’s fault.
Overall great, would recommend.
The reasons that this mixer loses a star for me are as follows:
1. Size – it’s too small, meaning that powders such as huel that need to be blended with 600ml of liquid cannot be used. The same goes for the powder holder – it will only hold one and a half of a regular 30g scoop. If the capacity of the mixer was 750ml I’d never leave home without it.
2. The instructions say that optimal filling is 400-450ml however if you fill any more than 400ml it will overflow and create a mess.
3. It’s loud – don’t expect to use the mixer discreetly in an office or lecture theatre, but if you’re in a gym changing room etc then this shouldn’t be a problem.
All this being said, the mixer looks great, is made from premium feeling materials and does exactly what it says it will which is to blend protein powder with no lumps. It is easy to charge, clean and chuck in your bag and I would recommend it to any busy gym-goer who doesn’t always have access to a blender but doesn’t want their supplements to be lumpy.
