I am looking for a caravan. This will save buying one with a damp problem.
Current owners tend to get upset when you start putting pinholes in their caravans.
This solves the problem.
We’ve tested various parts in our caravan and the meter has highlighted places where we knew there was damp and a couple more.
It certainly seems to be a good item.
I like the fact that they are no pins marks in the walls. I don’t know how accurate they are but they were good for what I wanted to use them for.
We had a leak in our caravan and I wanted to know how much of the floor was affected. The meter laid onto of the vinyl floor gave an accurate assessment of the damp level under the floor so I could accurately only take up areas of the floor that were damp. Saved me hours and lots of money 5 stars.
Currently investigating a damp problem. Based on the meter readings taken from different areas and materials where dry readings have been consistently found, the meter appears to accurately identify persistent areas of dampness. The readings in this area are very gradually going down after giving the area a chance to improve through ventilation and heating.
Bought to test moisture in walls prior to purchase of bungalow – tested it first on walls of apartment then used on walls of bungalow. It works and appears to give accurate readings.
With this device I was able do a more thorough survey and found additional issues suggesting rising damp through most of my ground floor. This gives me enough confidence that I can find and tackle the problem.
Finally, had a look at a possible investment property with a business partner. This saved us from a very expensive damp problem. The device paid for itself already.
It is easy to use and I am now obsessed with reading the dampness all over my house. It’s very old and so the readings were not a surprise. What it does is give me an idea of where the problem is coming from which will be a great help.

Thank goodness I bought this. I had a feeling I had a problem but I just couldn’t find anything. This little machine showed up where the problem was, that my walls were really damp at the bottom in several rooms. It didn’t register any moisture through the carpet but there’s really thick underlay under it, which we discovered was trapping a massive amount of water from a leaking pipe and it had travelled everywhere. Sooooo glad I bought it!
