Quality item used daily and stack and store perfectly, not recommend but the small one even survived a tumble off the kitchen work surface to the wodden floor I might just have been lucky or again a sign of the quality
Great set of jugs . They came nicely packaged in purpose made box with separated segments for each jug. I love getting new kitchen equipment – I think it’s an age thing. Have had my last set of measuring jugs for at least 35 years (looking a bit tired – like me) Hope these last as long and do as well.
Well packaged by supplier, and then in a larger Amazon box. Bought it to replace an old 1pt measuring jug. Decided to go for the set of three as wanted a bigger one (great for cooking) and the tiny little one (for small amounts of gravy). Very pleased with my purchase.
Yes, there are stickers on the jugs but they’re not as hard as everyone makes to get off! Soak them in hot water for about 30 minutes, and use a scouring pad to get the sticky stuff off.
Jugs are high quality and pour nicely, no complaints, and store well!
Great set of glass jugs they stack inside each other easily for storage. They do need to be soaked in hot soapy water and some elbow grease to get the labels off but all ok. Good quality pyrex and the red writing is easy to see apart from the small jug, i did need my glasses on when i used that one. There is no fluid oz on the jugs which i was disappointed about, that is why i gave 4 instead of 5 stars. I do recommend this set of measuring jugs i do use them a lo
Excellent. Very handy to have the different size jugs and practical to use making sauces and gravy etc. in the microwave as I’m trying to avoid using the hob. Good value for money buying the three of them together.
Tired of chucking out plastic jugs because they get tatty very quickly. You can’t beat these glass jugs last for years, great quality really pleased with the 3 different size. Nicely packed and super fast delivery.
Delivered on time. Just what I wanted.
Contrary to some of the reviewes,
Beautifully packed, with a series of cardboard cones which kept the jugs separate and protected from each other.
The labels peeled of quite easily. apart from the centre jug which retained some of the adhesive. Quite easy to clean. If you do not have iso propyl alcohol, which removes traces. Cif or similaar cream cleaning products works very well. Robust thick borocillicate, made in france.
I had been looking at cheaper jugs but then realised for such a good products they are very good value for money. Easy to read and stack very well leaving lots of space free.
“PYREX stop the stickers”
Very happy with these jugs and use them daily. Very easy to read the red print and handy to have this on both sides, so you don’t have to keep turning them around. Stack really well too.
Only slight downside with the smallest one is that it could do with being a tiny bit deeper. If you fill it to the top line then the liquid is right at the top of the spout, so it can be a bit difficult to pour without spilling.
I wash these by hand these days, and they perform excellently. Easy to clean, just leave them to soak if making sauces, porridge, sticky food etc. It all just wipes away.
Arrived very well packaged. Easy to read and a variety of scales on the sides. Dishwasher safe. Microwave safe. They stack together to save on storage space. Three useful sizes. They are heavy, strong and sturdy and dont feel cheap and nasty. Well worth the money.
The smallest jug has good volume measurement, the other two are out by maybe 20-45ml at the 250ml mark. I don’t especially mind because with Pyrex jugs you’re really buying for the sturdy, reliable glass.
Anyone forking out enough for these will have a weighing scale, just use that to measure if ~20ml is the difference between cake and mess.
I wanted something to heat up liquids in the microwave, and I needed something I would use almost daily for that purpose. Plastic jugs are okay, but they always seem to fail at some point, or become harder to clean. So I decided to pay a bit more and stick with a brand I know.
I’ve never had any problems with Pyrex in the past, and unless these turn out to be a dud, I’m happy to give them top marks with only minimal use. They’re easy to get into to clean, and even with arthritis in my hands, aren’t too hard to hold.
