Went for Raleigh brand as you can trust will be good quality which is important for kids bike.
Was not disappointed, very happy with purchase. Easy to set up.

Easy and straightforward to fit, works well and good quality. The instructions are fine, not sure what other reviewers are on about.

It took me less than 5 minutes to put them on to my little ones bike, they’re great for the price and seem sturdy enough.

Really good. One point – they are too high on the low setting so the actual bike wheel fails to reach the ground which means the pedals are no good. I bent mine slightly and they are perfect. This solved i

My husband and brother put these stabilisers on my daughters bike. They are a bit of a faff to put on but once they are on they do the job. For the price also cant complain.

Better than expected and quite sturdy. Takes a bit of faffing about (and maybe a file) to get them fixed and sitting right, but once on they work well.
P.S. Don’t expect too much from the instructions and you won’t go far wrong.

They took a while to fit because I didn’t realise there were two ways to do it. There are quite a few pieces to put together.

However, this was a good thing really because I used one method on one side and the other fitting on the other side. This is because my child’s bike has a large plastic chain guard which was in the way.

Got there eventually and they’re very strong once fitted and the adjustment these allow for is very useful.

Brought these to put on.my sons bike. Instructions were deficult to follow and ended up looking at photos and videos people had uploaded to guess how to install. Once on they work well and had no issues

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad for the price

Brought these as they are on offer and a well know brand maker. Instructions could be more cleared that given. Had to work out myself and the kids bike and a rear tray/basket fitted. All went in and had to advise with my nephew on the bike to get the right height for me to pedal. Now I cannot get him off the bike.

I messed around reading reviews for a few days. Some sets have the “L” shaped bracket only. These show the frame brace in the pictures (to prevent twisting) but the pictures don’t show the addition frame hoop and side bar. We didn’t need these as the frame has straight bars. But they could be very helpful is the frame is curved.
The “L” frame has additional corner bracing, I just can’t imagine these could bend.
Outstanding for the price. And branded with a famous name.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just buy them!

The Stabilisers are good and easy to install. However, the instructions are not very detailed, and one of the Stabilisers is not holding up and needs to be fixed from time to time.

Used as a replacement set on a bike. (Put the original ones in a safe place and can’t find them). I’m glad really as these are actually better than the original ones. There’s a couple of different ways to fix them to a bike and all the braces/hardware is included for each scenario. I decided to do a very minor alteration to the bike for best results, but all bikes are different and I’m guessing most will not require anything other than standard setup. Set them as instructions and my daughter has put them to the test bigtime! Very sturdy and very happy with the safety aspect. I would recommend for sure.

These are quite good but does look like scaffolding on the bike. Be sure to check the bikes chain guard allows the fittings, i had to cut a couple of holes. Other than that they’re not bad

Read a few of the reviews on these and was a little worried prior to receiving them tbh. Once they arrived and I opened the package I could see that they are sent with fittings to help you get them on most bikes…. I found and fitted the metal circlip mentioned on most reviews….unless IQ’s have dropped sharply it is obvious that this actually keeps the stabilisers wheel on ..!! ..its obviously going to offer some resistance putting it on or the wheels would come off !!!! It’s not that tricky to fit with some pliers tbh. The red end cap simply bieng a finisher…..I don’t really understand what a the moaning is about. I had these on in around 15 mins…in fact it took me longer to find my pliers…

Look out that the kit is intact. Mine wasn’t, internal packaging opened (accidentally or otherwise, and parts were missing. In fairness Amazon provided a replacement immediately and received within 24 hours.

The kit is easy to install, although instructions a bit vague. It is a Raleigh kit, and a Universal Kit, so the brackets were rather more prominent than those originally supplied to fit different types of bike. Fully functional though.

Fab little buy for the price!
Was a bit worried when I saw people’s reviews but I think it depends on your bike ..chain cover ect.
Found putting the actual stablisers were easy to put together. I didn’t use any of the extra brackets when attaching to the bike. I Had to go under the plastic chain cover was the only issue but chain still goes around okay. Easy to bolt on and seem very stable. Instructions are okay for just the stabilisers but the other brackets I would have no idea how to use as couldn’t see any information on them in the instruction sheet.
Would deffo buy again if I needed them.

The stabilisers are nice and sturdy and much better than the cheaper ones available on here that bend easily and are therefore unsafe. These however have some of the worst instructions ive ever seen and I could not make sense of the rubbish little piece of paper at all. Luckily I got them to fit with help from You Tube! My kids 16 inch bike has a plastic chain guard and to fit the support bar I had to cut out a section of this guard – not ideal but makes the stabilisers much more robust. After a few miles and a few falls im very happy to report that the stabilisers are still going strong. Ive painted them to match my kids bike and they now look the part. Im very happy with these but please Raleigh, sort out your instructions!!!!

It took me a while to figure out how to install it, the manual is not very helpful. The issue i found is that because it is “universal” you think you need all the parts that came with item, but you may not need all. But once it was installed it working as expected. There was a missing washer and a clip, which was replaced promptly by the supplier.

Ok so after a bit of uhm-ing and argh-ing I decided to order these for my little one’s 16inch wheel bicycle and I’m glad I did. They are a very sturdy pair of stabilisers and work great.

The not so great points are that the instructions aren’t exactly clear so you have to use your head a bit or google but it didn’t take me too long to figure out!

Went out with them on for the very first time for over an hour on what I wouldn’t exactly class as smooth road and they performed great!

Yes the fitting takes a few extra minutes and you might have to adjust height/position slightly after the first try but not enough to lose a star as overall they are a great product. Would definitely recommend (providing they withstand the test of time!)

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFirst of all the instructions aren’t great, at all. But luckily we have the internet readily available. As soon as i read the instructions i had a rough idea on how the stabilisers should be attached, but I didn’t want to risk doing it wrong. So i went to Youtube and searched “how to fit Raleigh universal stabiliser” the video is very clear and is easy to follow. Yes you would expect instructions with the product that will actually instruct you how to assemble, but this is the only fault i can find with the product.

Instructions aside and the product itself – Perfect. Very sturdy and reliable stabilisers. The stabilisers that came with my daughters bike weren’t great, they actually collapsed when she leaned to far. These are so much better and have not moved once since installation and these have been in use for several months. My mind is now at rest and i don’t have to keep fiddling with the stabilisers to check they’re still safe.

I plan on using these until my daughter outgrows them, then i’ll use for my son. Great purchase.

The instructions were confusing. I realized what parts I need to use for my sons bike and got them on. However for his 14″ wheel Raleigh bike these came up either too low, where the back wheel was not touching the floor, or higher than the recommended height of the ground…. A bit of a shame. They are sturdy though. It shows to put a washer on the frame before fitting the frames nut, however not all bikes have those so don’t think that they were supposed to supply them… overall, I guess they do the job, and not too expensive.

i ordered these after i accidentally broke the original training wheels on my brother bike so i needed a replacement asap. i bought these as soon as i could because they looked good online and they seemed to be the right fit for the bike.To be fair when they arrive they were superb and were the perfect fit for the bike, although there were quite a few small parts that required a lot of detailed attention but the instructions were pretty simple enough to follow and it came with all the relevant tools. the wheels themselves have been going sturdy and have done very well so far and i have had no complaints.
