    Because it comes in a roll. And It is hard plastic. It is hard to use in a straitened line, Will tend to coil back to a rounded shape. Also ends up with kinks in the plastic.

    I let it sit in hot water for 10 min to warm up the plastic. it was easy to install as edging between grass and gravel, even curved well and didn’t snap and wasn’t brittle at all. Glad I didn’t spend more, this did the job.
