This is a good solid item, and probably the biggest (in centimetres) of its class, but in a sense it’s unfinished, – the wood is bare and unsealed/unpainted, and you are provided with the screws to assemble its 4 little legs yourself.

This is great. Just what I needed and very easy to assemble. Took me about 2 minutes. If you want it to last longer than one winter id give it a coat of something to protect the wood.
Cheap but the ones at twice the price are exactly the same. The only difference will be the type of wood or it may of been painted. Most people have spare paint or varnish of some kind in the shed
All in all. A great purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant for the price

Yeah it serves the purpose but one of the legs was a bit tricky to assemble because the wood had split but the netting is very strong and the birds are happy so all in all l quite pleased

It does what it says, there is however one aspect that might be rather unfortunate for the birds. Smaller seeds tend to fall through the mesh, and when birds realise this, they try to get underneath. The larger birds (pigeons especially) then spend a lot of time with their heads under the feeder, and their tails in the air, which makes them vulnerable to cats. The feeder could, therefore, incorporate a skirt. You can always move the feeder every few days, to allow the birds access to seeds that have lodged in the grass.

Not bad.. only thing is the small parts of the seeds are coming out. I might have to try a different seed. As I got it to stop the mess the birds leave..easy to assemble

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersInitially i thought this would be just what i needed for my many garden visitors being under the impression that it was a case of unpacking and placing in my garden however it needed to be screwed together which would have been fine but there were no holes and i don’t have a drill so it still remains in it’s box .
The actual item was packed well and the wood was good quality but there were no screws ,no holes to fit them in.
Such a simple thing plus i did think the legs were just a few inches to short however at some point i will get it sorted…..
    Good value……. despite my problems.

Excellent value, easy to assemble and sturdy design.
Would benefit from treating the wood to increase its life, but mine always wind up being victims of over eager strimmer operators and get their legs chopped off.
This is no fault of the manufacturer!

It’s pretty sturdy. We feed our pheasants and the males regularly stand on the top of the mesh to eat and none of them has yet managed to topple the feeder. The mesh quality is not the greatest and when unboxing the unit already had three spots on the mesh showing rust. Doubt the mesh will last long and may need to be replaced before the summer – so perhaps 6 months of usage until then. Other than that is seems ok.
