I own the base game and a couple of other expansions, all of which are very fun and scratch that itch of childhood fondness crossed with an asymmetric board game.
As this game can be played without the base game, it acts as a perfect introuction if this pack includes your favourite character.
Highly recommended.
brought it to complete my collection of villainous. haven’t played all the characters of yet. will admit, after one of my friends one of the characters, we discovered how poorly design the character cards are, that it made hard to win with this character. but all and all, still loving the game and this extra expanison to it all
We have all the expansions of the game that’s on offer, the only character I enjoyed playing was Madam Mim, the others are fine just not as fun as previous characters
Abit expensive for what essentially is cardboard but a very fun game non the less. Good split between luck and strategy for a kids game but someone can win very early if very lucky
We have all the other Villainous games and so I bought this for my son to add to our collection. I was a bit disappointed when it arrived with no packaging at all- I am all for reducing packaging but the address label had been stuck to the back, and it is proving nearly impossible to remove it without leaving a sticky mess. Not great for a present.
The game itself is great once you understand how the game works and we have enjoyed having some new villains to play as.
Villainous continues to impressive with another 3 distinct villains who all work differently to learn and play as. I particularly like Madam Mims Wizard Duel mechanic, and you can see some influence from the Marvel versions creeping in with the strength modifier tokens for Syndrome and Lotso. With 21 Disney villains now all available, I’m excited to see where they go next with this!
