I bought this lead some time ago at the same time as the flat screen tv. I’ve come to use it today, and after a bit of trial and error, got it to work with good results. One thing to note is that the white plug Is Video, as normally it is the yellow one. the red and yellow are for the stereo sound channels. As can be seen from the video, the picture on the TV (also supplied by Amazon) is of a good clear quality. I am pleased with it.
Good product delivered the Next day.
Only ordered because I needed the same day however this Was advertised alongside other for SAMEDAY delivery with premium service as long as I ordered within a certain time which I did and as soon as I paid it said Next Day delivery had I know that I wouldn’t have purchased and used another seller who advertised same day
I know for next time
A good product never the less
This would not work with my old Sony video camera – I have no idea why because it physically fits – so be warned.
I needed the lead to connect my Sky Q mini box to my TV via the 3.5mm socket on the Sky box. I was unsure if the lead was going to work but it did and the picture and sound are excellent.
Good value for money, would definitely recommend!!
I bought this item to connect on old Wii to a new TV that didn’t have the composite inputs – just an 3.5mm AV jack.
As others have said the plugs do not follow the colour convention of the Wii. I found by trial and error that the connections needed to be…
Wii >>>>>>> This cable
Yellow >>>> White
White >>>> Red
Red >>>>> Yellow
I also had to use the male/female adapter – not sure what that does but it wouldn’t work without it.
Quick delivery and the wires were basically what I was expecting. I had to order a different brand as well as there was only one in stock and I wanted two so had to find a suitable option.
Cannot fault these although I have no idea if the sound / picture quality are 100% – I am sure some people will have things to say in that field – but video picture and sound from TV were very good.
All in all the differing connector type to the other I purchased is probable good as I can easily see which is which (as the two wires are bound together now.
The initial problem I had was in trying to connect my mixer (L & R channel) to my android phone to do live streaming in a cost effective way. The adapter was the key.. now this setup works.
I was trawling through the internet for ages trying to find the right adapter but with no luck. So I saw this product and even though it comes with the 3 way cable I thought why not.. I may end up needing it one day.
Bought this to connect a video source to the Pioneer radio in the dash of my Fiat Ducato. Pioneer’s official CD-RM10 cable doesn’t seem to be available, but this works well WITH the supplied adapter (without it you get a loud buzzing and no picture).
I have a modified pair of the legendary Sony MH-1 Live Sound headphones from the early 2000’s, incidentally just 10 for headphones that equal 1000 pairs for sound. Technically they are a Headset and use the old standard for the order of the contacts on the plug. These adapters allow the conversion of the 3.5mm OMTP to 3.5mm CTIA standards. They DO NOT take the 2.5mm/balanced plug.
I plug my MH-1’s in to the OMTP/CTIA converter ——-> to my Cyrus Soundkey DAC ——-> to my USB-c port of my phone. Works brilliantly and has saved my spending a grand on audiophile IEM’s!
Highly recommended.
They woul
Great that it comes with the adapter, turns out I needed it for a pioneer head unit aux input OMTP-CTIA. Feels snug to plug in and of course good sound and picture quality.
The description states that it’s not suitable for iPhone – and for getting composite video out, that’s absolutely correct. However, the lead can be used to get access to phone audio – when combined with the supplied adapter. The white and red leads provide the usual L+R audio out at line level, while the yellow RCA gives access to the microphone in (at mic levels rather than line levels, but hey, that’s good enough for me).
Works great 🙂
I needed to hook up a VCR (yes they still exist!) to a new tv that didn’t have scart and this worked perfectly.
Got it as I already had rca leads and was better value to me than some of the others.
got this to work after a while. I had to swop the cables round to get video. so it was white to white and red to yellow after that it worked fine
Good quality insulation in the cable, jacks seem sturdy.
Connection base to tip.
1. Ground
2. Yellow jack
3. Red jack
4. White jack
It is wired for camcorders as the title says.
Because of that it didn’t work with Raspberry Pi 3B+. Had to rewire the 4 poles.
