I have been using this lock for the past few weeks and it is working pretty well. The product also comes with a hookup thing which can be attached to you’re bike so you need not carry the product in a bag. It is strong and the lock stays sturdy. I feel secure about the safety of my bike whenever I go buy groceries. Excellent product for a great price.
A strong & reliable lock for a new cycle. The advantage of the lock is that it’s a combination lock, so you dont need to worry about losing the key. It’s strong & durable .
I have a kick scooter which I love to use but you have to lock it up …this locks performance is great so easy to use and fold up it’s not too big to carry in a ruck sack …
It’s a good quality lock and easierlybatrached to something solid …
What can I say, you set up with number to lock, you wrap around bike you wish to lock, you go away, you return and put code in and release lock. It is sturdy and seems reliable. I use only as a means to secure part of my bike, I would not rely upon it solely, and have a more substantial lock that I also use, but this serves the purpose I got it for. Nuff said.
I bought this for our bin bay at work. It seems to be a good quality item for the price, feels quite substantial and was easy to set up with a new combination after we received it.
I use this for locking up my run-around bike outdoors in Cambridge, UK. It is more robust than ones you can pick up for a few quid, with a slightly thicker cable and what feels like a fairly sturdy locking mechanism. It’s easy to lock and unlock, the cable would be easier to manipulate if it was thinner, but it’s fine and thinner would at least feel less secure. The number combination dials turn easy enough without feeling loose.
I wouldn’t rely on a cable lock to secure anything of significant value, but this one feels like a slightly higher quality option as far as cable locks go. It’s about right for the price, good value.
I like that this uses a code rather than having to carry around a key, not sure if that makes it more/ less secure, it’s just convenient for me. Maybe it’s worth mentioning that it’s a 5-figure code which felt unusual? Not really a pro/ con, but I had to think longer to come up with something memorable!
Overall a very satisfactory product that does the job. I’m content with my purchase for the moderate price I paid. At 1.2 meters, the cable is compact and of sufficient length to secure my bike (cables any longer – 1.8 meters for instance – tend to be more than is needed for my liking). The five-digit combination is also much better for additional security. However, the support bracket provided does not fit onto the top tube of my bike – the gear and brake cables hinder any proper mounting of it. I find it so much easier to place the cable round the head tube just under the handle bars. Don’t rely on this product by itself though. For maximum security use it, as I do, in combination with a good quality ‘Kryptonite’ lock or similar such device.
This lock attached easily to my bike and my frame is a little short but fitted on the seatpost perfectly. Coils up tightly and doesn’t interfere with my riding position and the lock combination works well.
It’s an ok lock I don’t think it will be hard to cut but I sort of knew that before I purchased it, saying that it’s ideal for what I need it for.
It’s is good i can’t even crack the code.I’ve had to leave my bike on a lamp post in town as forgot the combo. It’s been there 6 months now but I regularly visit to give it a wash and oil the chain just in case one day I remember my code
So, this wasn’t bought as the only lock for my bike. I already have an insurance backed U lock. This was bought as an additional lock to “go round” immovable things.
The lock has little weight and is very cheap feeling, but without trying to cut it I don’t know how it will hold up to attack.
To change the combination is quite easy and well documented. The bike mount is simple and works. Lock itself is long enough to wrap to a street lamp or standard bike mount in town. All in all, does what it says on the time and will probably deter the opportunist thief, but not one that’s come prepared. Probably worth its low cos
I mean, not gonna complain overall its a simple lock, I was forced to get one or leave my bike unprotected, bit more than I thought it would be, but had to buy one quickly! Later found one cheaper in a local store, which was safer to setup! Still have this one, but don’t really use it, however thats down to circumstance. Not a reflection on the quality of the product!
