So the item itself is what you would expect. A mini water pump. I’m assuming if you are looking at this, then you are looking for a decorative piece, as I don’t think it would actually function as a pump. (The handle moves etc, so it might, I have not tried it).
If like me you are thinking of using it as a fountain with an electric pump in a pond then two things I want to mention.
Firstly, the hole at the bottom of the item is very small, less than 10mm. I had to drill this out to fit in a 10mm water pipe. This was done in a few minutes, but a point of note.
Secondly, after then testing the pump for a few minutes and having the water flow through the item the rust kicked in massively – in a matter of ours. This too can be fixed, by a anti-rust coating, or I guess spraying the item in black paint.
All in all it now looks good as the water feature in my pond.
Looks good. Bit smaller in person than I was hoping but it’s actually good. Nice to look at, with the correct flow control it can and does eject water well. Good value.
