RELUX Premium Waterproof Bath Pillow Cushion with Non-Slip

Over the years I’ve bought a few of these. They do wear out – eventually the plastic splits – and I buy another. This is a cheaper version of the ones I’ve had before and is working fine.

This is the second one I have purchased, it doesn’t soak up water..easily washed after use. The tabs to remove it after use could be better placed, but apart from that perfect.

I love this pillow. I’ve had 3 because no they don’t last forever but I believe lasting a couple of years being used 2-3 times a week is good value.

So I ordered this cushion pad having had a bout of food poisoning and waking up thinking I really wanted to have a comfortable bath – which I very rarely have (on average 3 a year) anyway with prime membership it arrived by the evening and I did indeed have a lovely relaxing bath without my neck aching! It was comfortable easy to attach on and off and is something I intend to do again! Good value for money too I think!

How I wish I’d bought this ages ago, I’m short and soaking in the bath always felt dangerous. Now I can reach the end of the bath and don’t have to worry about drowning. It’s really comfy but it’s quite difficult for me to get off the bath as the suction is so strong, I often leave it and ask hubby to get it off for me. It’s easy to clean and I store it on the tiles above the bath next to the shower mat so it doesn’t take up any room. An excellent buy which I’ll be buying again when this one eventually dies.

This pillow is a basic pillow, I shall state. Suction power is great, however, if I lean my upper back and head on it for long, it will flatten (like it deflated) – when that happens, it is less comfortable, and I have to let it re-gain thickness.

One of the revelations (issues) with using such pillows is that you will slide into the water without a paired seat pillow for you bum or some solution to stop you from sliding down (think how each individual seat in jacuzzis is made). Without such a “lower-end” solution, you just cannot fully relax your body to fully enjoy these pillows.

I was initially frustrated that the suction cups on the back didn’t reach over the lip of the tub perfectly, but I eventually accepted that it doesn’t actually matter – it still stays on well and is a very comfortable cushion. I imagine that for more standard bath tubs (ours is curved), this wouldn’t be a problem, and again, the experience doesn’t seem to be any worse once in the bath.

I’ve been debating getting one for years, since I’m a bath time enthusiast, spending around 2 hours relaxing in a Radox with scented candles and the LED lights dimmed and coloured orange.
The 2 things that put me off; well it just doesn’t look comfortable, since your lower back would be unsupported (I thought), and being 6 foot tall I didn’t want to loose any more room, as I like my knees below the surface.
Anyway I finally took a punt on this, as gravity is a harsh mistress on my bony head. So on the first test, I can honestly say that a lot of research has gone into this product, getting it to perfected. I’ve never been so relaxed and actually spent 3 hours in the bath, not wanting to get out. I’m also someone who like to change positions a lot (much like how I sleep) and this thing was so versatile it didn’t matter what position I threw at it, it felt great with minimal adjustment just sliding it up and down to suit. It always feels best with the very back of your head between the 2 cushions (not how it’s pictured).
The “no back support” fear I had wasn’t an issue, under water, gravity doesn’t not affect your lower spine so all good here. The lack of room in the tub wasn’t an issue either, and I feel silly for thinking it, since it only takes up space around your head, it’s not like it forces your whole body forwards – duh!
All in all, I very much look forwards to baths now, and my only annoyance with this product is that I didn’t buy it many years ago.
