Fantastic product, honestly better than I expected for the price. The straightener dispatched quickly and arrived a day earlier than expected. The straightener gets really hot, really quickly which is great for when you’re running late but be sure to keep it safely away from little hands, paws or flammable surfaces. Great product, would recommend.
I bought this for my mother and sister (on their request) as they wanted something as a quick fix for nights out to save a trip to the hairdresser. They were both delighted with the price and the results. A great price for a great product from a trusted brand.
Purchased for my partner to replace some aging straighteners.
The first thing my partner noticed is that there’s no on/off switch or temperature control. I thought I might be sending them back. She’s now used them a few times though and she says they’re really good.
They are quite slim (which is what my partner wanted).
Good for the price.
They do exactly what I need them to do. They have one heat setting and do not come with a heat pad/pouch. Warm up quickly and just as importantly cool down quickly too. Cheap and cheerful product.
Given the price, I found myself very impressed by the efficiency and quality of these straighteners. Fast warmup time and gentle plates. They do what they’re supposed to do and they do it well. However, the only downside is no temperature control or an on/off switch, so if they’re plugged in, they’re on indefinitely and continuously heat up until you unplug them. Overall though, they come in handy as a travel pair as they’re compact, and fit nicely into a toiletry bag. Something to keep in mind as well when purchasing these, you may want to (if you don’t have already) purchase a heat proof mat for these, as I will admit they do get very hot.
They are decent for the price, they become hot very quickly which is good! I have curly hair and they straighten my hair really well. I would totally recommend but two downfalls are 1: they don’t have an on/off button so it automatically turns on as you turn the switch on on the plug socket and 2: if you are straightening over thinner pieces of hair, you need to clamp the straighteners a bit harder so it straightens properly
I’ve used these for years and they’re still going strong! They’re perfect for traveling although, I also use them regularly at my boyfriends (so at least half of the year). I use them happily for straightening and curling, I actually prefer the curls they give to my regular straighteners.
They’re a great size and work well in countries with either 240V or 140V supply. They heat up very quickly but there is no temperature control. You have to remember to turn them off as they get very hot and as far as I can tell have no timer that automatically disables them if they’re left on for long periods.
Talk about affordable. I purchased one of those T3 hair straighteners on a flash sale that everyone was raving about three years ago only for it to end up going kaput last week. Dismayed, as I paid $99 for it on the stellar reviews from users claiming it was the best and healthiest straightener they ever used — I hated it. It didn’t properly grip the hair, didn’t curl as I liked my hair to do, and was just an overall pain in the ass. The best thing about it was that it looked nice ‘cus it was white and gold.
Somewhere in my childhood home lies the gem of hair straighteners. Purchased off Amazon in maybe even 2007, it was during the time of Chi. It was some knock-off version I remember buying for $30 and at that time as a very young teen, that was about all of my money. It still works to this day over 14 years ago and never had I had such a great straightener — until this one.
This Remington straightener is comparable to that incredible fake iron. It grips the hair perfectly, is no frills with no confusing buttons to press to allocate the temperature. It just does what it needs to do. It curls, it straightens, and it’s affordable. What more could you want? It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles because it doesn’t need it and it leaves your hair soft. It is chic and simple. You plug it in and it does the job — that’s all anyone could ever ask for.
Great product and cheap. Save your money for all that fancy stuff. This is the good stuff.
My wife wanted this as a standby as her very expensive one had packed in and had to go for plates replacement. This one worked fine and a brilliant price too, not quite as sophisticated as the expensive one but did the job and will be used by her when away from home on breaks or holidays.
