I usually buy more expensive foundations but this was recommended and I love it; goes on well, easy to use; good colour match, lasts all day, doesn’t transfer to clothes
i honestly didnt know what to expect but ive been using it a few days now and im soo impressed usally have quite a oily t zone so struggle a lot with either blotting or reapplying but this is a gamechanger!
I bought this to make a daughter a hamper and ended up keeping it myself its a lovely lightweight foundation that lasts all day with great coverage and an amazing price five stars from me.
This was a bit runnier than I expected, but lasted all day and was super lightweight- didn’t even feel like I had any foundation on! Perfect for a more natural look!
I was unsure about using a liquid foundation but at the moment you cannot get any of the darker shades from my usual Sleek cream to powder make-up. I was pleasantly surprised at the coverage it gives and how lightweight it is. Once the liquid dries it doesn’t feel like u are wearing foundation. Best of all is i work 12hr shifts and the longevity of this foundation is excellent. This foundation also gives a matt finish which i like as it doesn’t leave your face looking shiny.
This foundation is very good for the price and I would recommend it to others.
It is quite light weight but you do have to apply quite a lot of layers for a full coverage, which isn’t necessarily a problem but if you are in a rush it can take a while to get even cover for perfection on your face. If you have any blemishes or spots build layers and it does cover up adequately without any need for concealer.
My skin looked sheer and glowing, it didn’t leave any residue or come off onto my clothes which is a bonus and after several hours of wear I had no need to re apply or a shiny face.
You may find that you have a different reaction than I did but I can’t fault it.
I would buy it again!
I have been using Estee Lauder Double wear, an expensive makeup!!! I have spent lots of money on foundation in the past and eventually found double wear was the best one out of the ones I had tried.
I’ve noticed recently that my nose and t zone is very oily and the makeup comes off that area which leaves me looking ridiculous with a red nose. The double wear just comes off and doesn’t last on my skin. So I decided to try this…Wow!!! I will not be buying double wear again, this makeup is amazing and so cheap. I’m so impressed, this Revlon makeup does not budge and I no longer have a red nose, I can’t recommend this enough for people with Oily Skin like myself.
While the price is good, arrived on time, colour match is good for my skin tone and it arrived well sealed so you could tell it was new and unused, unlike some make up I have perchased from amazon. The foundation is a little more watery then I would of hoped for. It almost ran out of the pump. Once I applied it though, it covered well. I probably wouldn’t order again, because of how watery it is, but I will use it.
I can’t believe i put off buying this foundation for so long because i thought it looked too dark in the bottle! I’m extremely pale (#95 in maybelline fit me foundation, #2 in collection lasting perfection concealer and white/ translucent face powder) so i’m so cautious when changing my foundations, but i also have incredibly oily skin and i’d heard rave reviews of how long this lasts. I’ve always had to mix the palest maybelline fit me foundations with the maybelline superstay 24hr foundation to get it light enough and get the staying power of the superstay, however buying two foundations does get expensive and with this foundation cheaper on amazon i thought i’d go for it, and i’ve never ever been happier. It stays even longer than my two previous foundations which i didn’t think was possible, i’ve had it on for twelve hour days and have only just started to get creasing in my smile lines at this time point. It is in fact pale enough for me, does not oxidise on me as i’ve seen on other reviews, and the staying power is the best i’ve found so far for my insanely oily skin. It may seem watery as soon as it’s out the bottle, but once i’ve used concealer and powder on my face then it absolutely does not move all day. It also doesn’t feel heavy at all even though the coverage is definitely medium-full and is totally buildable. I honestly couldn’t recommend enough to everyone and can’t believe how good it makes my skin look.
The shade ‘buff’ is such a good colour match for my neutral light skin! Love it has spf, and salycilic acid to control my oily acne prone skin. It’s a medium coverage, could definitely be a full coverage with an extra layer on top if you dont mind a bit of heavy makeup. It says it’s for combi skin which I have, I’m oily and dry all at the same time, only down fall is if I dont take care and time with this foundation it just clings to my dry areas. Looks great when I’m having good skin days though! Overall good foundation especially for the price.
OMG A OILY SKIN SAVIOUR.
I have EXTREMELY oily skin – I call it grease lightning because it appears so quick. Anyway… I’ve tried hundreds of pounds worth of foundation – from fenty to bobbi brown and so on and on… But not one of these foundations controls oil like this. I mean it doesn’t keep me matte all day, but I don’t mind. It makes you look shiny – especially the for head and cheeks but it’s not oily. I did a 9 hour wear test and after 6 hours I was still all good, as I said I was shiny but not oily and usually with all foundations I am soo oily that when I tocuh my nose, forehead or chin etc my finger looks like I dipped it in grease. But yeah guys try this. Its worth the money.
ONLY DOWNSIDE – the colours are rubbish. I’ve 4 of these now with different shades and they like a orange undertone at revlon.. But oh well, if you do a thin layer you are fine.
This is water based foundation which is perfect for oily skin!
For me I think it goes on better dabbing with my fingers! Brushes just leave it streaky and it doesn’t blend well but that may be the brushes fault! I like the coverage which is medium – full! I use two light layers to get a full coverage effect! It doesn’t dry the skin and so far no breakouts unlike my previous lasting finish rimmel! It does oxidise after a few hours wear but again that could be my powder leaving it looking slightly off colour compared to when first applied! I love the texture and weight of this on my skin! I’d say it lasts 6-8 hours until it looks a bit tired! A little goes a long way!
I wear 150 buff in combo/oily. It doesn’t cover all the redness on my face but the yellow undertones do seem to neutralize my redness which I’m grateful for. Redness is scarring from compulsively picking at the blackheads across my nose/cheeks in my teens. I’m pretty oily and nothing really lasts on my face apart from revlon, and this doesn’t oxidize on my face like others I’ve tried at a similar price point have. I switch between priming with a loose translucent powder or Nivea shave balm, and I mix a squirt of gosh liquid highlighter in to stop me looking too flat, seeing as this sweaty glowing thing is in atm. I wish it was cruelty free, once I find an alternative I’ll swap but until then I’m just gonna put up with the guilt for a face I’m comfortable presenting to the world
I love the colour of this foundation- my colour being buff. I’m very pale and have always found it extremely hard to find a foundation that matched my skin tone properly, ivory and porcelain have always been too pink but this is absolutely perfect. I love how it applies and how a small amount goes a long way.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because even with primer, powder and a setting spray- this foundation seems to transfer on anything it touches. Not that I spend my day rubbing my face on things, but I only have to touch my face and I have foundation all over my hands, it doesn’t seem to rub off though so I’m not left with a massive hand print on my face at least. I think maybe this means it’s just oilier or thicker than other foundations I’ve used in the past? (which seems weird for an oily / combo skin foundation) or maybe the powder isn’t sticking as well.
Other than that, no complaints. I like it a lot and will buy again but maybe look for different skin type next time 🙂
I bought this on a whim when nearing the end of a high end foundation, I had previously seen it in several stores and for some reason always found the packaging appealing but had never purchased it. I have combination skin and generally look for beige shades when buying foundation. I was a little nervous buying this online. After taking the plunge and receiving my order I gave it a trial run at home, the shade match was perfect but because it is so easy to blend it almost doesn’t need to be a perfect match. I wore the foundation all day without a setting powder to see whether or not the 24 hour claim was legit (please note I didn’t sleep in the makeup- not great for skin) I was surprised after a busy 14 hour day that the foundation was still there and still near perfect. I think in hot/humid weather a setting powder may be a good idea or if skin is particularly oily but the range does sell all its shades designed around skin type- I think this is fantastic and I have only ever previously seen this done in high end products!
The range of shades is excellent unlike many other drug store brands.
I would say this foundation is comparable to Mac studio fix fluid but I genuinely think this is better! The price point is a massive bonus as well as it wouldn’t cost an arm an a leg to purchase more shades in order to mix according to season (mix a darker colour in when tanned etc)
Overall I am very impressed with this product and will continue to buy and recommend!
