can’t beat 7 quid if you need a little set for the house. I mean I have my quality tools for real jobs. but if you need something for simple small round the house fixes this will do you fine. just avoid the plastic handle driver cause it snapped first use and luckily didn’t do serious damage , which it really could have, no joke. check the pics, blade sharp plastic. so just toss that in the trash and the rest is fine.

I’ve been making do with 2 adjustable spanners for years despite the fact I’m forever buying things that need assembly. Wish I had bought these years ago, makes things so so much quicker I could’ve saved myself a lot of time and frustration!

what a relief to get this set. i had a set bought from a german supermarkets middle aisle that had been ideal till it grew legs and walked, so needing to move the nut on the bike holding the dogs buggy connector, i ordered another more expensive but ultimately poorer quality set from amazon, which i have yet to return , the problem of printing out a label slowing me down .
however , this is a good quality , compact set , and just what i needed to get the job done , what a relief, and at the price , about a fiver, a real bargain.

This socket set is not for users who will use it every day. It is not the best quality out there but is perfect for what I need it for. Great value for occasional use.

I’ve previously had a socket set which we all know it comes in handy, but people like to “borrow and not return” things, I’ve bought another and it’s not going anywhere lol

Wanted a cheap socket set for minor jobs seeing I’m a self employed tradesman for my van.
Although not the best, but what do expect for less than 10.00, so I am was pleasantly surprised how good is as been with no breakages & just the job for minor work when you need a socket for a fiddly job.

Purchased to do odd jobs around the house. I’ve used Rolson tools before over the years, some are decent, some are ok and some are rubbish. This falls in to the ok category for me. It feels cheap. The plastic storage case is very cheap but what do you expect for under 10! If you use it for around the house, it does the job. If you are wanting something to use everyday or for heavy duty applications, like for cars etc. I would spend a bit more money and get something else.

This item took months to arrive and cost me the price of a big Mac meal, it’s cheap and nasty but glad I bought it. The case is cheap the parts are the poorest quality I am have seen but my 3 year old daughter loves it.

I cannot really complain as it keeps her busy, the locking mechanism is so poor high torque and it clicks out.

I will most definitely swap this set for something else when agreed grown out of it.

For the price and entertainment value it is worth i

    UPDATED (carry on reading)

was really excited to use this as the reviews weren’t too bad, the ratchet broke in the second use, the sockets are decent enough. quite gutted really expected better from rolson.

Rolson redeem themselves, they communicated with me and said they’d send out a replacement, here i was thinking it’ll be another ratchet alone, instead they sent me a whole new set, fair play to you Rolson good to see there’s still a company out there with integrity that looks to put things right for their customers, the new ratchet has been perfect, perhaps i just got unlucky with the last one.

i think you should definitely give them a try, you can’t go wrong with the price, and they’ve got fantastic customer service so you’re looked after it it does go wrong.

thank you again Rolson, very happy custome

I needed a spanner to take a wall mounted roadway rotary line . I have never owned a complete spanner set I have loads of different spanners that I keep in a bucket in my shed . As you can tell no mechanic but not one of my extensive hand me down spanners fitted. Also because of the way their mounted I needed a socket again something I do not have a lot of. At less than a tenner if it works to enable me to remove the line I’ll be a.happy bunny. I’ll pass the set on to my grandson for his bike when I have finished with them. I have no idea how good they are how tough they are but they look as though they should be fine for tinkering with the old lawn mower push bike etc. What more could you buy for less than ten pounds . I’m sure me and my grandson will have many jobs in the future where this set will come in very handy.

Based on the price point (6 to 7), it is perfectly good value.

I bought this to get me out of a pickle when I needed to do some repairs to my car away from home. It’s a cheap set, so it won’t (in my opinion) take much force or effort to break or snap the rachet/sockets, but it was more than sufficient to have in the car as an emergency set.

The sockets seemed to be well sized and good enough for basic tasks. You’re not going to get near everyday-use quality for 7, but if you temper your expectations and use this as a rare/light/emergency use kit, it’s more than adequate.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI note that other reviewers have had issues with the durability of this set, in the long term I really cannot comment on this as it only arrived today.
I specifically ordered this kit for use on my mountain bike as the pedal crank came undone and had to be replaced….that’s when I found that I no longer owned a socket set (lost during a house move I assume) and typically the only sockets I did have stopped one size short of the one needed.
All that aside I have used the set for its ordered purpose and also tightened up a lot of the bolts on mine and my wifes bike and had no problems at all. Though I will say that if I was going to use it for really heavy duty work I would spend a lot more money on a much more solid set,
I am more than happy with it so far, it has done what I needed it to do with no issues at all, and at this price its a bargain!
