I received the item on time last week I am very pleased with the service provided I can recommend to anyone who needs this produc
You can’t go wrong with Ronseal! The ceiling in our en-suite was black and I thought I was going to have to get a professional in but I found this on Amazon and thought I’d have a go myself. I cleaned the ceiling as much as I could and let it dry. Put one coat of this on and it covered all marks. Goes on really well – I used a brush. They Recommend two coats so I’ll do another one shortly. As you can see the ceiling is lovely clean white. Great stuff!
We painted an area that gets mould (around a window) and since then no new mood has grown in the area. Full test will
Be when winter comes again but so far very happy
Wasn’t expecting this to works as well as it has. Used on bathroom ceiling as shower causing mould patches.
Put in on over 5 weeks ago and despite the damp cold humidity absolutely no mould at all.
Highly recommend
Does its work. The pain is thick and blends well on surfaces.
Several months after painting the mould infested ceilings in my house, no new moulds have emerged. This paragraph is an additional testament to the effectiveness of this paint. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to find a long lasting solution to moulds.
OK that must seem obvious but if you haven’t painted over the source it will return, so for my ceiling it isn’t permanent but a vast improvement that might need touching up in a year’s time unless my other actions (a dehumidifier) are effective.
Only time will tell if it solves the problem not known at the moment.
It’s drippy and smells awful but actually works as the mould hasn’t returned several months on. I painted it with bleach first to kill the spores then painted over once dry with this paint. Be warned it’s very drippy so need lots of polythene sheets. Needed two coats. Mould only reappeared in a spot I had missed when painting.
This paint was purchased to tackle the mould in my bathroom ceiling from reappearing, I’d paint the ceilings every year only for them to reappear within a few months. Its annoying stretching your neck trying to get on a ladder to paint the ceiling in the first place, having to do it every year just makes it more frustrating.
Having written this review over a year later, I can safely say the mould has not returned. I only used 2 coats of this paint, I cleaned the mould as best as I could with a cloth and water. Ronseal suggest 2 coats of paint, so I’ll stick with that. Furthermore, I did have other mould areas throughout the house, in the bedroom near the windows all of which I’ve resolved using this paint, leftover from the bathroom job.
6 years does seem like an awfully long time for the prevention of mould, but I have no worries about it not lasting that long. For the cost of this tin, its certainly a small price to pay considering the time and effort it takes to tackle mould issues on a regular basis. With that being said, I have no hesitation in recommending this anti mould paint which is perfect and does exactly as the tin suggests.

I had struggled for months with damp in my bathroom. I had tried cleaning it with bleach and anti-mould and mildew spray but no matter how hard I cleaned, the damp/mould would still come through.
I have used Ronseal for other areas in the house so thought I’d give this a go. After a big clean of the ceiling and waiting for it to dry, I repainted the whole thing using this anti-mould paint. Next day I did the same thing and then was ready to hope for the best.
And the best happened.
The paint is quite thick and it definitely helped as the mould didn’t come through. It’s been about six months since I used it and there are tiny specks of mould on the ceiling but this is massively insignificant to what used to happen – big blotches underneath the lights. Having used this in winter as well when I didn’t have much airflow though the house, it did an impressive job. The tiny specks I have now just wipe off with some bleach/cleaner and I reckon the paint job will last me another year or two before I need to think of reapplying.
Annoyingly during the wet winter months I have mould spots and patches coming through on one side of the house. Thankfully it’s not bad but it is noticeable. I scrub the mould but within a week it starts to reappear so I decided to purchase some anti- mould paint to see if that would sort it or at least keep it away for a lot longer.
I had seen mixed reviews on this particular one but I keep an open mind until I try it myself. I used it in the bedroom first and made the mistake of painting over the mould, pure laziness. So the mould came through quite quick so I made sure I properly scrubbed the patch first until I was sure I couldn’t get anymore off, waited for it to dry then gave it another go. This time it worked as the mould stayed away.
We had another spell of bad weather and I noticed specks of mould coming back but not half as bad as it was. I think you personally need to get to the root of the problem as to why the mould is there in the first place. For us its due to the gutter being broke so rain runs down the wall causing it to stay wet for long periods of time so no amount of paint will solve that.
I did use this in our bathroom as it gets very steamy from the shower so mould developed in spots. It covered this perfectly and didn’t return, I made sure the bathroom was properly ventilated though to stop the walls getting wet. I would recommend this paint but if you have a problem as to why the walls are damp then I suggest sorting that before putting paint over i
