Log edging doesn’t last forever, such is its nature. But compared with the fiddle of putting the standard log roll in place, this is a breeze. The four extended pegs are sturdy and you can fix long runs of 1.8 mtr lengths in double quick time, after which it seems happy to stay put. It will happily adopt to curves and undulations. Worth the extra bit of money, and delivery has been reliable.

The rolls were replacing existing edging and it was just as I had expected. Didn’t find it difficult to unroll and easy to shorten if necessary with wire cutters

These border rolls are very easy to install and sturdy enough to hold back our raised bed. We just cleared enough soil at the front and hammered them into position. Also easy to go round corners. They look great and all done in no time. Very pleased with our purchase.

Pretty good value and seem sturdy. Although pre-treated, I did give mine another coat of preserve. Like a few here, I did find them a tad difficult to unroll. If there’s a knack, I didn’t work it out. Recommended.

Once i had unravelled it, it was simple to use.I couldnt work out how to get into it-im a bit hamfisted!
Really pleased with it and it was delivered very quickly.

4 rolls in the bag I used 3 with a small amount of the 3rd left over. The first was abit unlevel but I overcame that. The rest was fine. I used some pins I bought to lay weed suppressant down on the border edging to secure fence in the ground & I am happy with the out come so far.

To ensure they go in straight, it needs 2 people to help ensure this will go down straight otherwise they’ll not go in right. I installed and had to remove a stake to sort myself. They’re in, they’re nice and does the job. But I’ve another 1.8mm treated and weather proofed set without spikes from another manufacturer and seemed a little better. The feel to these is rough compared to those. But can’t complain. Arrived now after missing delivery expected dated.

Ince Id figured out how to unso them.. atapled AND bound.. they were very easy to use. I got this to reset the grass edge that has been ruined by moss & borage!! – & prevent new grass seed spilling over – they do look great but I didn’t get them for that.

Update – have just purchased my third lot of these. Just as happy with the second and third lots as with the first.

The product seems quite well made. The wire joining the log pieces together seems strong and securely attached. All seems quite sturdy as no issues when whacking it with a mallet to get into the ground. Looks good in my garden having made a little area to fill with bark chips. A lot of plans for the garden and if any more log roll border required would definitely buy this agai

Was just what I needed/wanted. But as an older buyer would have appreciated the measurements in feet/inches as I now need to buy another lot to finish my long border!! So as buying more I do like it!

The spikes can be hard to get into the ground (although my ground is very stoney which doesn’t help). I’m really happy with how they look now they’re in though.

These are much better than those without integrated stakes. Only drawback is each roll is shorter than the other sort. I know the measurements were there so my fault for assuming but it does mean that I now have to dissect a roll to take additional pieces off to then attach to the first roll so it fits around the pre-dug border.

This is a good basic wood edging, though untreated, for garden borders. We could not fault the service as from order to delivery was less than 48 hours. The fencing was well wrapped up in thick plastic, but quite heavy, requiring the delivery chap to carry it round to the back patio for us where we were able to unwrap it. The sections were actually wired together, so wire cutters were required to separate them. The only difficulty we had was straightening the wires to keep the run straight and avoid kinks as it was hammered into the ground. Some instructions would have been useful regarding this. We put the edging into the ground by means of a rubber mallet and having the spikes (four per piece) to ensure a good fit was helpful. This tidied up our plot nicely- a good buy.

Does look good. Tough I do think you need to paint the wood to add extra protection as it will be out in the elements to give a long life

Pleased with this border roll which arrived well packed and quickly. Find the idea of the spikes on the bottom really helps fitting. Used a rubber mallet to drive the spikes into the soil and works a treat. Also like the fact that this edging allows you to create curves easily. Not sure about longevity yet but like the natural colouring which blends into the garden well.

Would be good to have different heights of this to choose from so you could create a sloped flower bed but in the meantime these are good for my purpose.

Because I bought the spiked border roll during winter its taken me a while to use it. However now the weather is improving and its drier, I used it yesterday and found it to be excellent. I bought it to replace a border roll which had lasted about 12 years before finally disintegrating. When I did the other I had to make my own spikes to fit the roll to and then nail them to it. With Rowlingson including the spikes it was so much easier and quicker to install and now looks very nice. If it also lasts as long as the old stuff did I shall be well pleased. Though I might not be here by then to have to do it again. Highly recommended!

Good product, looks the part. Far quicker (but not essential) if another person assists in keeping the roll tight when securing.
Make sure there is nothing solid beneath where the spikes are driven in.

I ordered one of these packs to go round a flower bed inside a gravelled area. I used this to replace some ancient concrete kerbstone blocks that were discoloured and crumbling. The product was good quality and easy to use, the built in spikes are a great feature – so much so that I was able to easily reshape the flower bed into a circle shape which I prefer. That good experience led me to order a second batch for use on other flower beds in the same area. Second batch quality was not as good – looks as if it could have been lying in a warehouse for a while, hence the 4 stars.

After reading the reviews and seeing the sellers’ comments on the fact this was in kit form, I was pleasantly surprised that the product arrived fully ready to use. A bit tricky to line up all the uprights, but that was down to uneven ground. A good quality product, much sturdier than I had expected.
Very good value for money and beats the other similar products I’ve used previously.

The spikes make this easy to use. It makes an attractive border between a bed and a path. Has to be hammered in though. Unable to make a straight line but I like the slightly wonky effect. Easy to bend round a corner. A little pricey but a quality product.

This has done a good job edging our lawn – the stakes every 5 ‘posts’ mean that it is well held, although we haven’t managed to make it a straight border (our error, though the current edge has been crumbling down into the border, so many of the segments were hanging in mid air originally). This does however mean that you can take it around corners without any problems. The 2 wires holding the roll together look to be quite sturdy, so should last a number of years.

perfect for my needs… used to divide a gravel area from a garden bed. Easily installed using a soft mallet and shapes easily to what you may want. Arrived wrapped in a clingfilm type wrap… on opening, out popped the biggest spider I’ve seen, luckily shooting off into the undergrowth.

This was the second time I ordered this as the first vendor accepted the order without having stock, but didn’t tell me. I only found out when checking Amazon for order details… however the second company had stock, delivered it quickly and at a lower cost…
