The simple instructions that came with the scales told me I should calibrate the scales upon arrival. So I purchased a 200 gram test weight. But the simple instructions do not tell me how to alter the digital readout. So, I know the scales are slightly out but I have no way to alter the digital readout.
Bought these to weight out stuff for molecular gastronomy. Very please that they came with batteries, and they are accurate too. My 10g calibration weight came up correct. Pleased there is also the option to recalibrate if there is drift too.
Seems accurate and good tech, very easy to use and read, backlight dims very slightly as battery gets low, when battery depleted when turning on will show a Lo warning and turn off. Comes with two batteries that work for a short time, has a holder for two spare batteries under the battery cove
Its really easy to set up and use but the accuracy isnt the best. The same thing being weighed can show different measurements regardless of nothing changing. If you measure the same thing several times you may notice a difference somewhere between 5% relative to the actual weigh
This is a super handy little scale with high accuracy from what I can tell. One feedback for improvement could be to give the option for longer time fo it to turn off automatically. Sometimes I fiddle around with things to add but it will turn off automatically after just a few minutes.
Spend 15 to 20 more and get yourself a better one. The reviews for this is way better then it is. However it is not. Out of 10 it gets less than 50% accurate. Spend a little more and not be disappointed. Losing out on accuracy especially if it states less weight, adds up in the long run. Funnily enough, never says more but always less. I would have returned it but don’t see the point.
When you get the scale, for the level of accuracy you want you’re going to need to calibrate it. It’s travelled a long way and is very delicate, so it’s probably been thrown off.
So, to calibrate it you’re going to need a weight weighing 200.00g exactly. If the weight is off by .01g your scale will be off by .01g.
So, how do you know your weight is perfect and not off due to wear, weathering or transport damage, well you’re going to need to weigh it.
You see the issue.
Basically, it would have been really nice if they included a press or weight.
If you are looking for a cheap scales which works exactly the way it is intended ,then this is a product i would like to suggest for some one who is not quiet sure if it,s a worth while purchase to begin with , its not made of titanium but its not like you going to be doing any heavy work with this little product , the only thing i would drop a star or two for would be the writing , its so small i had to put on my reading glasses to read the booklet , but hey most already know when they are buying a product like this it,s a no brainer they know how to use it to begin with .
Ok, so the majority of them are made of plastic but the actual weighing platform is metal and to be honest they wont be leaving my house because that is where I make my E-liquid that I’m buying them for.
Cant believe they also came with batteries. How anyone can include the batteries as well for a product that was like 7.
It even has a spare battery compartment. They dont connect, so when the blue and white batteries (photographed above that came with the scales) run out I will have to swap them out for the orange ones that are also pictured above. I just thought it was a nice feature coz it’s so annoying when you go to weigb some PG or VG and you have to run around looking for batteries.
