Needed a work watch. Didn’t want to pay gshock money. And obviously it doesn’t feel like a gshock it feels a little cheap. But sturdy and everything works. I’m happy
This is a solid digital watch and looks more expensive than the price tag suggests. There are a few fiddly & unnecessary settings on it, all you will really use are the general & stopwatch functions. I was particularly keen to try it out in low-light settings as mentioned in other user reviews and unfortunately it is rather dim but pointed towards any reasonable light source all is good. For total darkness, obviously, use the light function. Overall I’m happy, again it looks really good and being so cheap I won’t fall to the ground in tears when I accidentally hit it against a door knob like I do with some of my other watches!
I do a manual job,needed a watch,this is perfect for my needs and when the battery dies I will get another….I work permanent nights….watch has back light…so perfect!
I bought this for holiday, to wear in the evenings as it looks nice being that its black and will go with anything.
Also the back light helped when in a bar that was a little dark. It also has everything I wanted too, date and day. Its 12h or 24hr.
Such an easy watch to operate.

I had one before, but accidentally scratched the display glass [totally my fault] so I had no issues buying again.
The only personal dislike for me is the strap, but I purchased a SUUNTO Core Black Strap* and swapped it over – easy fit & took me 5 mins to do [see images].
* NOTE: Do not buy from SUUNTO direct unless you’re happy to pay a lot more. I purchased TOPsic Compatible Suunto Core Straps, Soft Silicone Sport Replacement Wristband Smart Watch Fitness Band For Suunto Core Condition: New Sold by: TOPsic for 7:99 – much cheaper than SUUNTO direct.
It’s undoubtedly a good-looking watch and has all the functions which I was looking for – including a countdown timer – but, in a certain light, you can’t read the display and that has been highlighted by another customer.
However, that is the only drawback and, having compared the display to that of a radio-controlled clock over three days, I’m delighted to see that there’s no alteration in the second display.
I needed an inexpensive watch for while my more posh watch was in for service/repair and this digital one fits the bill just fine. A bigger chunk on my wrist than I’m used to but it is very comfortable. Lots of button pushing to set it up but once it’s done all is fine. My only quibble is you have to push a button to get it to illuminate and read the time, so no simply glancing down…oh well!
– when using the light you can see too much of the LCD for bits that aren’t currently displaying, this can be quite jarring (looks almost holographic)
– the light doesn’t come on for long enough when pressed, functional but mildly frustrating as it feels awkward
– I haven’t been able to figure out how to make the time decrement rather than increment when setting a timer. Having to switch from a 3 minute to a 2 minute timer is rage inducing……
Overall though, really good. I bought it for use at the gym (including sauna and steam room) and it has survived all the knocks, heat and moisture. Though that doesn’t mean I recommend doing it! If yours breaks in the steam I would feel real bad…but it’s working for me.
dial is a little on the dark side and the operating instructions are rather poor. Otherwise..value for the price paid. The time has arrived to change the time for Summer. No instructions, no on line help and the watch has gone haywire.
Decided it is a poor buy
Points to note:
– The hours, minutes and seconds are all the same size so it takes a bit of getting used to reading, but that happens pretty quickly.
– The date is in the American form (mm/dd), slightly annoying but nothing you can’t get over if you’re looking for a robust watch at a good price.
– Can be a little difficult to read the time if the ambient light is low, but the back light is really bright.
I would definitely recommend this watch.
It’s cheap so it makes up for it. The watch has more than I need features like alarm, chronometer, timer, dual watch and that’s whats about it. Backlit could be brighter but it is there as well.
The only downside is the light function. It illuminates for only one second even if you hold the button in. At night that’s way too short to focus and read. But I suppose it saves battery life.
