Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThese scales are really good. You can add ingredients into the bowl by zeroing them after each addition, really pleased with the bowl too which is quite big enough to mix a cake in.

It is lovely to have some scales that do not need manually setting to zero every time you use them and that are easy to read. Can’t find any fault with these.

Daughter dropped cheap asda scales which broke, treated myself to these never having used digital before. Love that you can use and mixing bowl, reset to 0 halfway through. Seems accurate to me. Hopefully I won’t go to use it and find the battery dead anytime soon…..

Salter is a tried and tested name. My last Salter kitchen scales lasted over 25 years. These are small for ease of leaving out in the kitchen. What I particularly liked was separate buttons for on and off lb/kg and one for fluid oz etc. Comes with a plastic clear bowl, but you can still use your own bowl etc on the weighing pad . Takes two aaa batteries which were supplied but when they need changing you don’t have to hunt for ages for some obscure battery

Bought these to replace a very tired set of Salter scales.
Takes normal batteries non of these silly watch batteries, very accurate can use imperial or metric scales.
I don’t use the supplied bowl just switch on put my large mixing bowl on zero the scale by pressing a button the add ingredients zeroing after every item all ready to mix.
Fantastic hope they last as long as my old ones. Very happy.

So far so good with these scales. No issues with delayed or temperamental readings and no issue with smaller measurements not registering, as some customers have mentioned. The included measuring bowl is very handy and this sits within a rubber grip to stop the bowl moving while measuring items. This has replaced a Russell Hobbs digital scale that has broken after 10 years or so and I’m hoping this will last as long!

I have just replaced my previous Salt weigh scales that I purchased years ago I only had to replace as I clumsily dropped it on hard surfaced floor even then it did not smash the unit but it didn’t weigh correctly afterwards otherwise I would not have to replace it, they are well made they are accurate everything as described.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI gave 5 star for accuracy even though I have nothing to control it with, except a mechanical kitchen scale.
It is by far the best kitchen scale I have had so far. I still have a mechanical one complete with bowl., but I’ve been using digital for sometime now. This is my third digital, but the first wihout the “coin” batteries. I use it mainly baking or jam making where you have to be accurate and of course to weight accurately my pets’ food. It also look good.

Excellent product, as far as I can tell, very precise. Very easy to use.
I’ve deducted one star for a design flaw. When i weigh a big item, eg a box, I can’t read the result because the display is flat, angled directly upwards. If it was at a slightly more slope-like angle , it would be easier to use with bigger items.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy wife is happy with these scales for kitchen use, though she is not sure they have quite as good repeatability as her previous electronic ones (i.e. Getting the same reading if taking an item off and putting it back again – perhaps a few grams variation). But, overall, she is pleased.

These scaled are first class I have found. They are neat and tidy to store and easy to use. You can weigh in pounds and ounces or in grams., simply press a button to choose which method you require, also measure liquids in mls. or pints , all easily done. There is also the option to return to zero to be able to add the next ingredient without having to empty the scale pan each time. All very efficient and user friendly. I am very glad I bought these scales.
