Mum has failing eyesight so I thought the numbers would stand out against the black, which they do. Mum was really pleased and they are easy to use.
Bought for my son who loves to cook. He loves them.
These are very good scales, nice and sturdy, lightweight and accurate.
I wanted some digital scales to replace my current ones which had an annoying habit of turning off half way through what I was doing. These ones are much better as they will stay on for 3 minutes so long as the reading isn’t on 0.
The main downside I have noticed however is they aren’t accurate at low weights and sometimes don’t register anything for weights under about 5 grams; the reading will just show 0.
Easy to use, easy to clean. Best ever scales I’ve purchased up to now
Purchased these to replace a previous set of Salter Scales, which had become difficult to read, due to the indicator plastic cover becoming cloudy. These new scales are overall much better. They use standard AAA cells instead of a watchtype battery.. The weight indicator is now a surface read type in large letters, so is very easy to read. The only negative point is the gap around the weighing platform, which would be difficult to clean if you spill flour into it, although using the wide rimmed bowl should avoid this.
On unpacking the scale, the first job is to insert the batteries into the bottom of the scale. The indicator will then show the initial set-up taking place and eventually the scale will read Zero. Place the Bowl onto the Platform and press the Zero Button.
The scale will now read zero. Push the Unit Button and for every press the Scale will cycle through the various measurement types. You have choice to do accumulative weighing or by pressing zero between each item to do individual weighing. You can put any item on the scale to weigh fats etc, so you don’t contaminate the Platic Bowl. Don’t use sharp inside the Plastic Bowl or you will scratch it, and clean the Bowl using a Cloth and Soapy water. To turn the scale off, press the the Zero Button for about three seconds , the scale will turn off automatically if left with ingredients in it after about 3 minutes
So overall an excellent Kitchen Scale which hopefully will provide many years of Service.
I wanted to replace the large scales we have as it takes up a lot of space. This one is perfect I can put the scales in a cupboard a lot easier.
It’s a great looking compact scale. It’s so easy to use, zero function is great when baking & adding different ingredients. No need for extra pots to measure ingredients. Bowl fits well. Excellent for the money.
My last kitchen scales stopped working after nearly 20 years of use, and after some research went for this one. Looks good and weighs accurately. Not entirely convinced about the liquid function, but personally don’t think I’ll be using that function much.
Great scales, easy to use, clear, even under a big plate or large bowl. Only gripe is that it seems to be too easy to switch measurements grams to oz etc so you have to watch that but that’s very very minor.
