Replaced a recently purchased item from a high street name that did not live up to its claims. These new scales are strongly manufactured, simple to use, accurate and can measure solids and liquids.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this as a family Christmas gift so my comments are about my own version. I find it so useful for switching easily between different units, e.g. when following a recipe needing solids and liquids, or in switching between imperial and metric. It’s easy to put different containers on the scale before setting to ‘on’, say a saucepan if measuring butter to melt. It’s also useful for batch baking if you want comparable quantities. The smaller r.h. platform is really useful for accurately weighing very small/light ingredients such as yeast – it takes up to 200g; the larger l.h. platform takes up to10 kilos. My older model uses 3xAAA batteries. This new model needs a CR2032 battery – one supplied.

I’ve upgraded from a cheaper salter platform to these . They look well made , nice large display , so far they seem very accurate . Very smart .

I asked the customer forum whether these scales were accurate and was satisfied with the responses. I am so pleased with them and glad I listened!! Before buying these, I had just returned two other types made by the same manufacturer, so I am glad I persevered!!

I’ve had a few scales over the years as I do a lot of cooking and these are are the best I’ve had. So easy to read, have every function you need and when I use big bowls or saucepans on it you can still read the screen, they weigh a good amount and do it quickly, so all round very good scales, I’m so pleased I purchased these and will use them every day.

Arrived promptly. Lovely design. The feature enabling you to put a bowl on the scale, tap to zero & then add the
ingredient is really useful. Having a small kitchen & not much space it would really be even better if it was in a thick cardboard box to protect it. But am pleased with it & would buy again.

Exactly what I was looking for. My only complaint is that when you press the tare button you can switch between scales as the buttons are hidden under a continuous cover. I find it annoying at times either not pursuing it hard enough to register or pressing it too hard which press the adjacent button too. Fix that and 5*without a doubt.

Great looking scales. I can read the weight very clearly. Also can change from metric to imperial can also weigh liquids. May take a little getting used to but worth it. Great product accurate , at last it’s wonderful. Well done Salter.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGreat scales, what every kitchen needs. Larger area plate for bigger bowls and small plate for weighing tiny amounts.
Easy to use, easy to switch between weighing plates. You can zero in between ingredients and switch between imperial or metic smoothly.
My only niggle which is quite annoying, ok 2 niggles is one the weighing plates scratch easily and when you try to place a bowl on the plate before switching on the screen reads error when you turn it on. You have to switch the machine on, put the bowl on the weighing plate then zero to start weighing. Other than that great scales.

Needed one of these to do some accurate measuring of yeast for pizza making.
Works a treat for this and been using it for various other baking needs in the kitchen.

Would have liked 1 more decimal place on the smaller scale, and sometimes when you remove the same amount it scales at a different point so 1 star knocked off there, otherwise excellent and couldn’t do without it!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve always bought Salter scales and my last set of scales which I’ve had for 8 years was becoming irritating by switching on too easily and thereby using up the battery. These new scales are wonderfully weighted, they sit firmly on the kitchen counter and the screen is crystal clear. The additional platform is great for smaller items. I love the way in which the on/off button needs a firm touch to switch off (unlike my present scales). Overall a good buy if you are regularly cooking and weighing food. I have nothing negative to say about them.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought on black Friday so great value. Seems accurate, easy to use and earns if surface it’s on is unstable smaller platform is really useful for small amounts. Useful to be able to weigh in volume (ml) as well as weight.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had the older version of this which was great too. Generally this product is a great buy, not many scales have such accuracy at such low price. Only thing is I think the design of the previous generation (Heston Blumenthal) was slightly better in terms of both surface for holding the material i.e. larger bowls and also the functions for resetting the weight and etc, saying that, I wouldn’t pay more to buy the previous version but definitely buy it if at the same price.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcellent scale. Adjusts quickly, back-lit display, and can weigh small weights (great for bread making.

It’s large enough that even with a dinner plate you can see the display. There’s nothing to fault, heartily recommend.

great for small amounts, only 2 gripes, batteries included ran out after 3 uses even tho said ‘industrial’ on. Tips forward when turning on if not already got a reasonable weight on scale. Otherwise seem accurate and havent noticed complaints from others, such as a delay in weight changing etc.

Bought this after seeing it being used on the professional Bake Off show on TV! It’s well made, you can use either large or small scale platform ( but not both together) . You can wipe it clean, my only slight issue is that crap can gather under the metal weighing platform. Other than that it is wipe clean.

This scale is excellent – had previous salter scale which was good but this is so much better
The screen is perfect and having a smaller scale is very handy

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis is a massive improvement on my old scales which drifted and frequently failed to zero properly. These settle quickly and the reading does not creep up or down. The small pan is good for measuring amounts of ingredients like chili or powered herbs. Prehaps my curries will be more consistent in the future. The two pans agree but the small one gives tenths of grams. Using the large pan, I was able to drizzle 10 grams of tahini paste and feel confident that the measurement was correct, watching it go up gram by gram. If you remove ingredients the scales can show negative weight. If you need to remove a few grams, this is much more useful than an error code.
