This smartphone should be advertised with a 2 year guarantee. The 3 year guarantee is incorrect according to Samsung Warranty Department. Samsung only provide a maximum 2 year warranty. We made various enquiries that led to this discovery even though I have an invoice from Amazon stating 3 years warranty, it is actually invalid according to Samsung. Amazon had referred us to the manufacturer who set the record straight so do not be misled by this erroneous information. We are waiting to hear back from Amazon technical about this issue as I wanted a 3 year warranty since it was the main reason for buying this smartphone from Amazon. Another reason for choosing the A14 is that the phone itself has a low SARS rating. European measurement on head: 0.560 W/Kg, on body: 1.280 W/Kg. Other measurements vary depending on cellular, WiFi, or hotspot use. Currently this phone is ranked 9th with 30% of the legal limit according to rfsafe. A low SARS rating does mean that you will notice the phone has been optimised with this in mind. The A14 is not likely to be as responsive as you might find with higher SARS rated phones. This phone is excellent considering its intended market. It is slightly chunkier than you might expect but it is simple and straightforward to use. There is no 3 pin charger supplied; only a USB-C to USB-C cable. Fast USB-C chargers are available with an additional cable and fast chargers often have two ports for charging USB-B devices as well. I bought a dual port fast charger from Amazon. If you need to plug this phone into an older PC you will likely need a USB-C to USB-B cable (if you should want to transfer files such as photograps to an older hard drive). Military grade silicon covers for this phone are available for just a couple of pounds elsewhere. Cables are also inexpensive elsewhere. The A14 has good battery life and in our case the A14 was purchased to replace an Apple iPhone 6S. The phone had the on-screen option on first use of transferring data from a number of sources. Either by cable or wi-fi. We were able to select Apple iPhone option and this did indeed transfer most settings. A small glitch in not transfering all incoming mail server settings but these could be entered manually. On balance Amazon made everything much harder than it needed to be. Such purchases from Amazon should be seemless and their word should be their bond. 4 hours investigating the warranty, registering the phone, enquiries with Amazon that could have been spent setting up the new phone and transfering all the settings. At the time of this review Amazon are still advertising the phone with a 3 year warranty. I would suggest you contact Samsung first before buying. When you register the phone it clearly states 2 years warranty.
