This is a very good sturdy and strong easy to use definitely recommended it I’ve had no problems using it. The only thing is i wish it was a little bit longer but that’s me being a bit picky
Using with my firestick for additional storage to use geforce now.
It’s a USB stick from a reputable company, good purchase, no complaints
Advertised on Amazon as USB 3.2 400mb/s read.
But when arrived The packaging states USB 3.1 150mb/s read
(When plugged into the PC It states USB 3.2.)
Still. a great stick, great design, great brand, great price ( bought in prime sale. ) And fast…
So I’m happy enough..
Just thought I’d point out the error.
If you are looking for a convenient way to store and transfer your data, you might want to check out the SanDisk Ultra Luxe 32 GB USB Flash Drive. This USB flash drive features an elegant, full-cast metal design that is durable and sleek. It also offers fast transfer speeds of up to 150 MB/s, which means you can move your files quickly and easily.
~~~Pros~~~
+ Elegant design: The SanDisk Ultra Luxe USB Flash Drive has a full-cast metal body that gives it a premium look and feel. It also has a keyring hole that lets you attach it to your keys, backpack or purse for easy access. The silver colour matches well with most devices and accessories.
+ Fast performance: The Drive supports USB 3.1 Gen 1, which delivers up to 150 MB/s of sequential read speed. This means you can transfer a full-length movie to the drive in less than 30 seconds, or move large files in a flash. The drive is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports, so you can use it with older devices as well.
+ High capacity: The Drive offers 32 GB of storage space, which is enough for most users to store their photos, music, videos, documents and other files. You can also choose from other capacities ranging from 16 GB to 512 GB, depending on your needs and budget.
+ Secure protection: The Drive comes with SanDisk SecureAccess software, which lets you create a password-protected folder on the drive to store your sensitive or private files. You can also use the software to encrypt your files with 128-bit AES encryption for extra security. The software is compatible with Windows and Mac computers.
+ Recovery software: The Drive includes RescuePRO Deluxe software, which helps you recover accidentally deleted or corrupted files from the drive. You can use the software to restore photos, videos, music and other file types. The software is compatible with Windows and Mac computers.
~~~Cons~~~
– No activity LED: The Drive does not have an activity LED indicator, which means you cannot tell when the drive is in use or when it is safe to remove it from the port. This may cause some confusion or inconvenience for some users.
– No cap or cover: The Drive does not have a cap or cover to protect the USB connector from dust, dirt or damage. This may affect the durability or performance of the drive over time.
~~~Reasons to Buy~~~
* You want a stylish and durable USB flash drive
* You need a fast and reliable USB flash drive
* You care about the security and recovery of your data
* You are looking for a high-capacity USB flash drive
Conclusion
The SanDisk Ultra Luxe 32 GB USB Flash Drive is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a stylish and fast USB flash drive. It provides fast transfer speeds, large storage capacity, secure protection, and recovery software at a low cost. It is not, however, suitable for users who prefer a USB flash drive with an activity LED indicator or a cap or cover.
My existing 128 GB USB backup stick (key ring type in case the house burns down) was nearing capacity and as such it was time to double up again. I was very tempted by some lesser known brands offing 4 x the storage capacity and circa half the price of this 256 GB SanDisc one and purchased this for the styling, but am so glad that I did as the genuine read/write speed knocks spots of my also lesser branded one that it has replaced and just goes to prove that you get what you pay for. Highly recommended in both the terms of speed and styling.
Used it for a Windows installation, worked perfectly. Durable and fast, but gets quite hot if it’s reading/writing loads of data.
Plenty of storage for office work. Easy to carry your work around just attached to keyring.
It is ok. Speed (on second photo) is as advertised but not as good as my 6 years old Spaceloop XL (first photo).
I originally ordered the wrong item it was a cat c fitting. So I re-ordered this one.
It was only so the wife could record her tv programs which it does really well.
So the stick itself is metalic, solid, very good, usb 3.1. The reason why 4 star and not 5 is because it says 32GB but in reality doesn’t have even 30, only 28GB, a little disappointed, but in rest is ok. If you ok with 28 GB than it is amazing and buy, if not just buy bigger one, even if you get 64GB it will be less, about 58.
Nice item from a respected brand. Great looking and very solid. An inexpensive way to give me another back-up for my photographs (, I already have two external hard drives). I have loaded over 13,000 edited and scanned photographs on this flash drive and still have over half of the 232GB capacity available.
Back-up your most valuable images, audio or other files. Use it to transport or transfer data. You know it makes sense – don’t regret not doing it!
This is a small, 64 GB USB stick, USB 3.1 speeds from SanDisk. It works perfectly well as anyone would expect. Personally, I have used it to create a TAILS bootable distribution with some persistent storage. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
It’s a very cool and stylish looking tab stick. Looks great and it’s well made with a brushed metal finish. It’s USB 3.2 and you can copy data onto it very fast if you use a USB 3.0 port.
The only downside is that the usb stick is slightly larger on the large side and it’s a tight fit to get it inserted into a USB port. If the device was made slightly smaller then it’ll be perfect. It still Fits inside USB ports. It’s just it’s slightly tight fit. Makes plugging and unplugging a bit more difficult.
I tend to stick with Sandisk, even though a fair number of reviews suggest that Amazon allow too many counterfeit items through. I ordered this, together with an SDXC card for a music player, and they both arrived today.
I read elsewhere in here there were concerns about this stick heating up, and those tales are no exaggeration. I have a large transfer of music files and, rather disappointingly Windows tells me that will take over 2 hours for about 250gb. Speed seems to meander between 10 and 30mb, rather less than the “up to 150mb” quoted on the packaging. But the temperature is worrying – after less than ten minutes the stick is too hot to keep hold of and there is nearly two hours left to build up further heat! All my others are plastic, and it’s counter intuitive to think they might last longer than a nicely crafted cast metal design, but at this rate the new one will be a molten mass by the end of the file transfer. I bought it to use in my car as a music source but now am concerned it might heat up in there too, unless this is restricted to file transfer. In terms of capacity, 512gb down to 460gm seems a big hit as well even though formatting obviously takes up some space.
Will probably need oven gloves to remove it but hey ho!
Got this last night and downloaded a lot of films and TV Series on to it to pug in to my projector. Download speed was constant and quick as opposed to being fast but with a speed that still out performed a lot of my other USB’s. I left it in my computer because I forgot about it and fell asleep. Did not notice any heat at all when I took it out this morning. Have had it in my computer all day, periodically downloading on to it and has not got hot at all. I have not played anything back on it yet so maybe that is when it gets hot. I had another USB recently that was plugged in my computer for a day and when I took it out it melted from the heat of just being in my computer and fell to pieces. I have no idea what formatting is for or FAT32 (my son is always on about that) but I just like to plug and play and it always seems to work for me. I have USB’s that are years old and still working fine. On the other hand I have expensive external hard drives that I have put in cases and not used for a while that just never work when I get back to them. No data storage units are totally safe in terms of keeping things you want and I store the same things on different devices to ensure I never lose anything. I had a military grade hard drive once that disintegrated after a few weeks. I am just waiting for something more reliable in terms of longevity in the storage device range but until then I just have to keep buying these devices to try and back everything up. Scandisk 256 GB gives me a lot of room and is easily mobile instead of taking hard drives everywhere when I travel. I will see how this one works for me before I decide to buy more But so far so good.
