This is a very nice and bright motion sensor light. It is really bright that I don’t want to look at it after install, it can damage your eyes. I like it since I can see the whole backyard with this lights. Price was less than other big box store for the same brand.
This product, I have purchased a few times. I placed one in each part of my home. I currently have five installed around my yard. It works very nicely. I get lots of people come over, especially deliveries. They come into my driveway, the minute they drive up, the lights light up the entire front of the house, including part of the road which is amazing. When the folks come in through the side of the garage, we have another one of these lights that turns on to illuminate the front of the house wwhere most people walk in. They love it and feel secure when they drive up into the driveway and walk to the front door. I will continue buying these.
I absolutely love this lamp, I needed so bad. Now I can enter my property and have ligh
Light unit appears to be well made and sealed from the elements. Easy install on my light tower around 25 ft high. The picture is on a hot and humid Alabama night. My old LED security light only dimly illuminated an area of about 20ftin diameter from the base of the tower. As you can see from the picture it illuminates pretty much my entire front yard. From the point where I am taking the picture on the front sidewalk to the tower is around 200+ feet then another 100 feet to the road. I have the light set on “dusk to dawn ” and so far it works perfectly. Hopefully this picture will help someone in making their decision.

had all parts except for mounting box. Replaced old lighting, quick and easy installation, and easy targeting for moving objects, settings for all phases of lighting. It just worked well.
It is as advertised very bright and easy installation. Just wish it had more options on the screws for wood. I’ve bought different options and I think this is the one. I will be buying more for the rest of the house and back garage!!!
This fixture provides excellent light even when installed at the top of a 2 story house. Area coverage is more than expected. There are 2 arms that adjust individually, not 6 individually adjustable lights – this does not seem to be an issue with covering a large area.
Installation was easy – install the cross-bar then connect up the wires and a single, long, screw attaches the fixture to the cross-bar. One small issue with the design is that where the wires exit from the fixture can wind up being exactly where the cross-bar sits.
I’m using the fixture in an on-off configuration, so I can’t comment on the motion sensing capabilities.
I installed 4 of these fixtures so we’ll see how reliable they are in the long term.
I have several of these. They work well for about one year and then the motion sensor fails. At that point I either let it become a dusk to dawn light or purchase and replace the PIR sensor.
This light comes on and shuts off when it’s supposed to. It’s nice and bright. I was hesitant to try it because some people said it didn’t work right, etc., but there are settings to use to tailor it to your needs. We’re very glad we got this security light.
Exactly what I was looking for, extremely bright and will compliment security cameras when their installed. Very very pleased.
The Sansi LED 45 water flood light with motion detector works great for about 1 1/2 years. Then the light modules start failing. Sansi replaced the 2 failed units I purchased in April of 2020 as these units come with a 5 year warranty. The replacement units failed again. Although it took Sansi customer 2 weeks to respond, they did follow through by sending me 2 new units at no cost to me. So I upgraded my rating to 4 stars because they have honored their 5 warranty twice in the firs 3 years since purchasing. Hopefully, the new units will have light modules that last longer due to design improvements.
This unit is incredibly bright, but it is missing some basic features.
It does not have a “Dim” constant low power glow feature to bathe the driveway in a low power light. It is just completely OFF until the motion sensor snaps the lights on ( Then it’s bright as the sun) but it needs a Dim Illumination feature so it works as a proper porch light until it snaps on at full power to blind intruders.
Also, the motion sensor does not continue to reset itself as if there is still motion happening, meaning, once the light is on, it will only stay on for the amount of time you set, then it shuts off and waits to see movement again. It wont stay lit when it continues to see movement like it should.
Otherwise, it’s ridiculously bright and perfect for a security light.
Light extremely bright and adjustable to many positions which the neighbors appreciated. The added bonus to this product was the excellent customer service we received when the light stopped working.
Notified company when light stopped due to a defective sensor and Sansi immediately sent out a whole new light which arrived in about 1 week.
Cannot say enough about the light and the excellent customer service.
I have one over my garage in the front and one mounted to my lanai out back. They are very bright and enable my security cameras to stay in day color mode as opposed to going into night black and white mode. My neighbors like them too for the for the added security they bring to the neighborhood. The two of these blazing away every night have added a negligible amount to my electricity bill. They’ve been going strong for nearly two years without fail. Why the four stars instead of five? I have a concrete driveway and the light from the one over the garage bounces off the driveway and causes the sensor to think it’s still daytime so it shuts off. I had to connect it to a smart outlet that turns it on at sunset and off at sunrise. I suppose if I could I’d have given it 4 and 1/2 stars lol.
Another great product from Sansi. I own several of their grow lights so I figured I’d give the security lights a shot. Wow is this thing bright! The only thing I had to do was adjust the settings to get the dusk 2 dawn feature working correctly. It’s so bright it will turn itself off thinking it’s daylight. A little tweaking of the censor angle and experimenting with the settings and it works perfectly. Extremely satisfied with this light.
Lights are super bright, The motion is a bit off and they stay on sometimes more than 15 minutes. Or won’t shut off without resetting. If You wanna light up your backyard this thing is brigh
After reading some pissy reviews I decided to write one with a few points.
Be smarter than the product you are buying, some of you are breathtakingly anti-smart . You’d think defund our schools was a thing.
Yes these are very bright, love that fact.
Lux setting does need some dead band built in as these do flash a few times at dusk because the brightness causes the light sensor to turn the fixture off because it’s so sensitive and doesn’t have the required programming or circuitry to understand that if it’s dark enough to turn on it isn’t going to be too bright 10 seconds later. They are good lights very bright, but have a few hang ups (your neighbors may wanna know why you are sending dirty SOS messages to them at dusk) . After all these are for home use and you get what you pay for.
This is the second light I’ve bought from this brand as I was so impressed with the first one. This is a perfect solution for the side of a house situation as you can angle the two arms almost anywhere. Highly recommended. And very reliable and bright. Not light other pir lights which don’t last long and are not built as well.
The way it can be attached is quite unique and very cleve
As part of installing spot lights in my garden, I placed this item on a tree at the back of my garden where there is a gate and the shed, so a security light was necessary. The result was superb. The light is really bright and it would allow kids to play or adults to have dinner or even read a book! You can turn and twist the two arms and the sensor in any angle and direction. Now, the item I received was a return as I found some wires twisted. Nevertheless I went ahead to install. But when it switched on next day and it wouldn’t turn off I was convinced that it was faulty. However the company informed me that the ‘Lux’ setting should not be on max. I turned it in the middle and problem shorted!
These are by far the best I have tried and look great. The twin quad version I also have and are great too.
The product itself is very good, but for the life of me I cannot understand why they do not supply a back box for it, you have to drill a hole in the top of the unit to fit the wires through and then use a sealant to ensure it is waterproof, if I had known this I would not have bought it.
PRO: 1. Very Bright Light. 2. Detection angle is very good, surprisingly good. 3. Detection range is good. 4. Angles of “Direction Adjustment” are very good. 5. Strong, well-built body, it’s a solid unit.
CON: 1. While the light is “ON,” detection sensing is off. In other words, I’m working under this light, and after about 7 minutes it will turn off, even while I’m moving around under it. Of course, it turns back on after a few seconds, but the brief re-setting is very irritating. It can turn off on a worker, immediately after stepping out of range.
2. Adjustment for “Maximum Time ON” is only 7 or 8 minutes. In other words, if one is working out of range, he has to come back into range every 7 or 8 minutes.
3. The hardware does not fit common, American made electrical boxes, (for example, the most popular electrical junction-box sold by Home Depot). While the bolt has a standard SAE thread, it is smaller than typically used in American junction boxes, so the installer has to hunt for hardware that fits the structure’s electrical box.
Not the cheapest light out there but very good and good illumination so you get what you pay fo
Bought this to put outside a warehouse building and light up the outside of our exit door and parking lot for employees. This replaced a pretty standard 2 bulb fixture that had 1200 lumen bulbs (each) that had quit working. This is much brighter and fits our needs very well. The motion detector picks us up immediately as we come out the door even though we’re 90 degrees to the side of it (the light is about 10 ft down the same wall that the door is on), and picks up motion well out into the parking lot for anyone arriving. The photo sensor works very well to prevent it from coming on during the day.
The building has a 10 ft overhang across the front which covers a sidewalk area between the parking lot and building. The original light was in a ceiling junction box about 8 ft out from the building/exit door, and I had planned to just mount this light there. This light didn’t work as well as the old light in that situation, but it wasn’t a good location even for the old light, and the seller clearly stated this light is designed to be mounted vertically, not horizontally… so I’m not knocking any stars. I installed a new junction box on the wall, which was really the preferred set up for our situation regardless of which light fixture we chose, and simply installed a cover plate over the old ceiling junction box.
I think the light can work well ceiling mounted in certain situations even though the seller doesn’t recommend it and it didn’t work for our particular situation, which I consider to be unusual. I’ll go into more detail below about the ceiling mount issues for those interested that don’t mind the length…
The problem was the ceiling box was 8 ft out in front of our exit door (and a few feet to the right). We wanted the motion detector to pick us coming out of that door (behind the light) but also pick up movement in the parking lot (in front of the light), which means we were basically wanting to get 360 degree detection with 180 degree detector. So what we did as a compromise was turn the light fixture so that the motion detector was facing “sideways” instead of either towards the door or towards the parking lot. We then aimed the detector so that it barely caught the door opening to it’s far left limit of vision, and we then lived with it’s limited detection view of the parking lot to it’s far right side.
So we had a situation where the motion detector needed to look west, but the lights need to shine north, and the amount of swivel adjustment on the motion detector arm is limited. So basically the base of the fixture is facing NW, the adjustment on the motion detector was maxed out to get it looking west, and now the lights need to face north. The old light with 2 single independent light bulbs were easier to aim as needed, but with this light have long light bars on each side of 3 lights each, it was harder to aim them as needed.
The problem is each light bar arm only has adjustment movement on 2 planes, and needed to have adjustment on all 3 planes for our situation. To get them facing north when the base is facing NW, they have to be turned so one side angles way down and the other side angles way up (an the ceiling becomes an issue on that side). That makes it look really bad not being symmetrical, and the low hanging side being more at risk to getting hit/broken. Also with the light fixture being 8 ft in front of the door and aimed away from the door (towards the parking lot), the door area only received “bleed light” and wasn’t well lit.
Now with the new junction box moved back on the same building wall as the exit door, the 180 degree motion detector provides full coverage of the entire area, the 2 plane adjustment for each light bar side is adequate, everything stays symmetrical/aesthetically pleasing, and the exit door is better lit as well as the parking lot.
If you want to ceiling mount with motion detection, I think it will work fine as long as you can face the base, motion detector, and lights all in the same direction. You can rotate the motion detector arm 180 degrees on the ball socket joint to keep it oriented correctly and you can maintain a symmetrical profile when adjusting the light bar directions. We ran into ceiling mount problems only because we needed the motion detector to face one way and the lights to point a different direction. If you want to use this in dusk-to-dawn mode instead of motion mode, I suspect the light reflection off the ceiling could increase a flickering issue. I did not try ours in dusk-to-dawn mode, so I can’t say for sure, but noticed other reviews mentioning flickering problems in dusk-to-dawn mode.
