I spent some time searching for a scratch map that would be good quality, a cool fun keepsake and great decor. This is the prettiest scratch map I’ve seen on Amazon, most seem to be black with neon colours, this scratch map and colours of the countries underneath are lovely muted neutrals. It’s much more reminiscent of a vintage map/globe. I also preferred how this map is less stretched than many flat 2D maps, as you can see the grid scale on the map is curved and not stretched into squares.
Very good product. Packed in nice, sturdy tube, but should be packed more carefully, as one of two I bought had squeezeed edge by covering top. I managed to correct it by ironing gently under cotton cloth.
I got this for my wife, who makes ‘Goblin Dicebags’ for D&D gamers… As she sends them to people around the world she is able to scratch off the countries they go to. She loves it…!
Once in a frame this makes for a lovely way to display and record your travels around the world .
Its best to use something smaller than a coin to scratch around tricky borders though .
All the biggest craze at the moment and you can see why. My mother loves this and its a good size. Packaging was great too to ensure none of the countries started to scratch off.
Great map, gave it as a gift to people who have travelled a lot. They are pleased with it and have seen them start it off and will pop round when they are done. Easy for them to see which countries they haven’t been to and the colours are different for the countries as well. All in all a good buy.
Lovely map and would look lovely on the wall all framed up, however I’ve had to return mine for a refund as there was quite bad scratches on the map in places I know I’ll never visit like the Middle East!!
Apart from that it’s quite accurate and very attractive to look at, it would also be a good conversation piece.
I got the large one for 15.00 and was happy with the value for money but unhappy I’ve had to send it back & decided not to re-order it as didn’t want to take the chance on receiving another scratched one in its place!!
Honestly, pretty great for the price, I dont know, the corners were a little crumpled but its fine and easy to fold out. You can be pretty precise with the scratching and it looks pretty nice. Worth it in my books
I’ve bought this as a Christmas present for a relative who loves to travel. It arrived promptly and is will packaged in a study tube. I purchased the large one as it is intended to go in a frame, but I would recommend a smaller one for those who want the map to travel with them. A good buy overall and I know the recipient will be delighted with it.
I bought it as a gift for my partner, he loves travelling and I hated seeing his little plastic one pound store maps on the walls, so instead i got him this, not only is it pretty and interactive it helps highlight his personality. It comes with little scratches but that is usually a given when u buy something to scratch of the point isn’t to leave it in perfect golden shade but to slowly over time manage to reveal travel destinations. I personaly didn’t buy the frame but bought it seperately to save money, regardless it is a very nice gift and it could also be beneficial for anyone who is trying to teach their kids about different cultures. A little interactive session about each country with a scratch off as a reward could be a good idea for parents.
It came a little scratched (not noticeable from a distance). Scratches quite easily so be careful. The colours are too bright but looks almost vintage which is nice. Use a guitar pick to get into the corners.
Such a great product, am going to get it framed. Gets a little too easily scratched though, and sometimes when scratching on one country the scratch-able layer peels over the border of another.
Love the map was exactly what I wanted. Only issue was the tissue paper protecting the map was smaller than the map so there are a few scratches on the outside countries. However these are barely noticeable.

I didn’t scrape off the gold cover of the countries I visited, I put coloured pins in which I thought looked better. I bought an A1 poster clip in frame and mounted on my kitchen wall.

Bought this as a gift after receiving a similar product as a gift myself. This map is very stylish and will make a good piece of wall art for the home, and provides the incentive needed to get out there and travel!
The maps are beautiful. Very well packaged and good instructions on how to remove from the tube without damaging. Our first map delivered was damaged, having contacted the seller and provided photographs was given a full refund with no quibbles at all. As a result of this great service I reordered immediately and am throughly satisfied with the end product. This is for my neices 18th birthday who lives abroad but has already travelled a good amount. She’ll be delighted with this to track her ever growing list of visited countries.
The scratch layer scratches very easily with a credit card, hardly any pressure needed and there are no scratch marks/indents left over on the map itself as it is printed on thick, semi-gloss paper. There are also clear outlines to follow so you can scratch an accurate shape!

Great map with a decent amount of detail for its size. Weirdly it has Birmingham but no mention of Wales which some people will be disappointed by. The print is of high quality and the scratch element is mostly lined up with map underneath. Some details are underneath and not on the Scratch overlay which can make it more difficult to figure out where to scratch but that is easily overcome by referring to other maps. Love my new map
This is a Xmas gift for her to hang on the wall and the scratch off the country she has visited and add photos around the map of good times and places. Its in a frame but its easy to take out and scratch off then back in the frame to keep it safe…this is a lifetime mission and will celebrate xmas and het 21st.
