Do the job keep my food fresh a little longe
Bought these for the kids food tech. Brilliant tubs, really handy.
These have been great so far. No leaks, easy to clean and no discoloration.
Bought for a present to Daughter, as she says they are good.
These are really good quality but be aware that the colour is not as on the picture of the item, we thought its a pastel green but its lime (bright) green.
I had been given one by a friend . It had an inner rubber seal . Reassuring when your carrying them with soup in them . These didn’t have an inner seal but they do lock shut well
Been using for a while now. I use these for storing vegetables I’ve prepared, biscuits, meat etc. We tend to use in the fridge.
Easy to clean, stack nicely too so don’t take up much space when not in use.
I really like the fact they are see through as otherwise I forget about food!
Great brand for food boxes – not the cheapest but reliable. Lids always fit properly and are leak proof. I’ve bought other brands before and regretted it. Sturdy and long lasting.
Love this brand of tuppaware. Wouldn’t trust them being thrown around with liquid inside but they do the job well!
These are great convenient sized plastic clip boxes. They are solid, sturdy, good quality and a good variety of sizes. The only down side is that they are not air tight or leak proof which is why I returned them.
6 plastic boxes designed and made in New Zealand by Sistema. Fantastic quality at a fantastic price. Would definitely buy again. Great sizes, a 2 ltr, a 1 ltr, two 400ml boxes and two 200 ml boxes. Freezer and microwave compatible. They can be put in the dishwasher but I prefer to wash by hand. Sturdy plastic with well made snap on tabs on each side. All sizes have been extremely useful and even the very small ones have proved to be very useful for example when preparing omelettes I can get the ingredients ready so when ready to cook, I just empty each box onto the omelette before folding over. Great to put in the freezer. No smell of plastic. Lids fit well. I can’t recommend them highly enough
Unfortunately one of the pieces was cracked from top to bottom upon arrival so only a four star review. The packaging was intact, so I’m not sure when this would have occurred.
The remainder of the set was in good condition, seems sturdy enough, seals well and stacks neatly into my cupboard.
Great, small
Systema Quality well made Nasty chemical free.
Great for small food items with lid clasp and seal.
-1 point as it wont hold a small sandwich roll (not quite Tall enough).
Would recommend.
Excellent kitchen starter pack for a excellent variety of storage tubs bought on sale for half price bonus to have a medium and large microwavable container’s as always used sistema microwave container’s and never had any problems at all with quality or clips breaking I believe in an honest review and that’s what I’ve always found excellent quality and value. All items arrived packed together well and also all in one piece as I had seen others state items were broken but not for me perfect quick delivery as always with Amazon .
These boxes are great most are a good size and when stored in the fridge keeps it tidy and clean. There are one or two little ones that I do wonder what the heck I would use them for but for the most part all good. The clip lids are easy and have a seal in the rim.
My only problem is remember g how they were packed when I got them because storing away when not in use is a bit hit and miss but I’ll get over it.
I like the design of the clips, which comes down from the top lid rather than up the bottom container. This way, they always fit.
But for some strange reason, water seems to trap around the edge of the lid and the container. I need to bang them slightly against the countertop, and still tiny mists of water beads will fall out. Rather annoying. But, they serve me well.
Will I buy again? Still thinking.
Love these containers. The clasps are sturdy and easy to use. I have used them for storing excess sugar and also nuts and dried fruit. They only criticism is the little round tubs. They are very tiny and I can’t think of much you can use them for and 4 to me is too many. I think my hubby will use them to store very small metal detecting finds in. If you make your own lip balms etc they would suit for that. Overall though it’s great to see a product made outside of China. Would definitely buy again.
I bought them thinking they could be good for microwave as the ad says and since they’re also BPA free.
It has been so for a while, until I’ve got the brilliant idea to use one of them to warm my tomato pasta up.
It got red tomato stained and it’s impossible to clean it new again, regardless all the hot boiling water and tons of dishwashing liquid I tried and used to wash the red away, so I doubt they’re really good for microwave use.
We have many of these clip tops already but after about 10 years they’ve evaporated from the kitchen to become sylvanian family pots, hair band pots and the like. I’ve broken a couple dropping out of the freezer full of pasta sauce.
So! Time for a confession. Buying new Tupperware gets me quite excited. No idea why, I just love it
Some perfect sizes and a great priced set here. The largest size are perfect for a take to work pack up box.
The next size down make a great family sauce box . The smaller 400ml is my choice for a pasta sauce for 2 freezer pot. And the smallest I use for homemade houmous.
The smooth non textured lid means that you can write on them with a Permanent marker and easily wipe it off.
No brainier kitchen storage that I return to every time. I’ve got old versions of this that have been going strong well over a decade.
Sturdy boxes, neatly stackable easy to clip the lids on. Not designed for liquids so I haven’t tested for leak-proof-ness (pretty sure that is not a word) but I do use these for crackers and things I don’t want to go soggy and they do a good job with those kind of things. I also use for packed lunch items – salads and sandwiches (not mixed together mind) and I have yet to have any moisture related issues (I keep dressings in a separate pot until it is time for lunch).
These keep cupboards tidy and it is easy to see the contents of each box which is helpful, also keeps the fridge tidy and stops transfer of smells/tastes. Easy to clean (I use an old toothbrush to get any bits out of the seal) and the clips appear solid despite some fairly heavy handed users in this household doing their best to dislodge them.
All in all I’m happy with these and would recommend them.
Obviously a great price for 3 sistema boxes – we have bought quite a few over the years, and obviously I leaped at this, being 3 decent size containers for less than a tenner. However, I do feel the quality has been compromised. The plastic is noticeably less thick and rigid and they only have locks on 2 sides (unlike out others of this size which have locks on all 4).
They certainly feel less durable and because of this, I would definitely not recommend them as lunch boxes (they are about lunch box size). If they received a knock, they feel like they would crack. Decent for keeping things fresh in the fridge though – much better than a billion plastic food bags wrapped around cheese, ham etc. etc.
I bought a couple of sets of these storage boxes on a Deal of the Day that put them at less than half price for the set. The boxes are generally well made – from robust, solid plastic with clip on lids that secure well. I use them primarily for neatly stacking freezer, fridge and cupboard storage, although the range of sizes included in the set could make them handy for school snacks and lunchboxes, and my Mum has pinched some of the smaller sized boxes for use in her craft room. The boxes are easy to clean and after a few weeks of use and dishwashing are showing no signs of the plastic clouding.
The RRP is far too high for a 10 box set half of which are really small size boxes.
I’ve had numerous click’n’seal, clip’n’lock and click’n’throw away type food containers over the years. I noticed this brand at a friends house in Australia recently. They’re not cheap, but they are far far better quality than any others I’ve tried and ended up having to bin. Some brands retain an odour from what you’ve had in them previously (no matter how many times you wash them). Others I’ve tried, scratch and mark really easily. Some stain depending on what foods you put in them. And worst of all, a lot out them use inferior silicone in the seals which stop becoming an effective seal altogether, and sometimes after minimal use. These ‘Sistema’ containers shut and lock tight with a real ‘clunk-click’. Plus you don’t have to mess about lining the silicone up really accurately before they seal. These are easy to use, have really effective seals, and (so far) still look and feel like new after numerous uses. I thoroughly recommend this product if they’re in your price range, because buying inferior containers of this sort is really a case of false economy. They’re made in New Zealand by the way, not in sweat shops in Taiwan, Malaysia or China so they’re ethical too.
We’ve been using these containers for a while, and I got this set for my daughter to take to uni, good value for the price. They are useful for storing leftovers in the fridge or freezer, or for snacks when you’re out and about. The smallest boxes aren’t terribly useful unless you have toddlers, when they are great for snacks, holding a few grapes, crackers, or whatever. The largest box can be used for sandwiches or salad, the medium large is good for freezing a portion of leftover casserole, and the medium small pots are good for single portions of bolognese sauce to go in the freezer.
The pots are microwave safe – take it out of the freezer, loosen the lid, pop it straight in the microwave. They go in the dishwasher – they will stain slightly if you put them in with dishes covered with tomato, but they don’t smell or taint the contents and the colour wears off after a couple more washes. They are easy to clean by hand too. If the pot is left (with food inside) in a school bag for a couple of weeks, you may get black mould on the blue seal around the lid which is trickier to clean – however, you can remove this seal to scrub it and pop it back into the groove afterwards.
The best thing about these boxes is how easy it is to open and close the lids, no fiddling around with broken fingernails trying to peel off a stiff lid, or trying to make sure it’s sealed all the way round only to find you’ve missed a section, just snap the clips and away you go. This is especially useful for e.g. children or people with arthritis etc. who might struggle with fiddly lids. I also like how the lid stands proud of the top of the pot, so you can fill the pot to the brim and still fit the lid on without squashing the contents. The pots can be stacked on top of each other – although they mostly don’t fit inside each other, they can be piled up without falling over.
However, be warned: these containers are not completely watertight. Do not use for liquids if you can’t keep the container flat – and this includes e.g. strawberries which may leak juice all over your bag.
After having good experience with Sistema products, I specifically looked to replace all my plastic containers with the Sistema range. These do not disappoint – the plastic is sturdy and has not lost any shape or effectiveness after being put through the dishwasher many times. The clip shut mechanism makes opening and closing these containers really easy, and I especially like that the flappy bit is stuck to the container itself instead of the lid. For some reason this makes it easier to stack in the dishwasher and cupboard.
I did select this set for the transparent-ness of the containers, as it is essential for me to be able to see what is in the containers when I have them in the fridge without having to take them out or open them, or worse, label them.
Good value for a pack of 10 containers, with the various sizes just what I need for the different things I store in them. 10 containers is just the right number too, as I do have limit cupboard and fridge space after all.
Have been trying for years to find a container that is airtight and fridge; freezer and microwaveable which my husband and son whose dexterity is not good (both disabled but in very different ways). Most containers you close by bringing the clip fasteners downwards from the lid towards the base unit. These are the reverse; they are attached to the base unit and you bring the clip upwards. The lids are easy to line up with the bases. Others use pressure to push down on the lids once lined up properly with base; but both my husband and son found these difficult to undo once sealed. These are absolutely brilliant. Have now been using for well over a month and have found no downs to them and now left overs and salad etc are finding there way into the fridge to be used up instead of left of the side and thrown away. They are so easy to open and close. Big thank you for desig
