This digital skipping rope arrived in a branded cardboard box. Inside the box is the 3-metre length cord, a pair of weighted short cords, the kit to attach the cords to the handles with a spare battery and screwdriver for installation and finally the pair of ‘digital’ handles contained within a bag which you could use to store the assembled skipping rope in.

I have set the skipping rope as the ‘cordless’ version with the weighted ends, but you do have the option to install the 3-metre rope which is adjustable to suit your height. The longer rope feels durable as it has a metal steel core covered with PVC which also means that it will be tangle free. However, personally I prefer the cordless version as it isn’t a tripping hazard and is better suited to indoor skipping, but it is nice to have the option.

The weighted ends have a length of 32cm each and the handles measure 17cm in length. Personally, I found the ABS handles to be a little slippery, and despite the texture the handles are quite smooth so don’t offer the best grip. The weighted ends of the cordless ropes aren’t too heavy and the skipping rope has high performance ball bearing which means that the cord moves smoothly. The handle features an LCD screen which shows calories burnt, the time spent skipping, the number of turns and the weight of the ball ends. However, I have noticed that the counter isn’t the most reliable.

The cordless skipping rope can be used by adults and children alike and is great for using both an indoor environment as well as outdoor space since there isn’t a rope that you can accidentally hit items with. Skipping is a brilliant way to exercise and burns far more calories than a lot of other forms of exercise. Priced at 8.90 at the time of reviewing, this is a decent cordless skipping rope which means I can skip throughout the year, but I wouldn’t necessarily trust the counter.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBought this to try and get a little fitter before all the naughty Christmas treats.
This is a great skill rope, it records the number of skips, calories burnt and lapsed time. I find these help motivate me as I try to do more skips in the same amount of time. The skip count does seem accurate.
I use this every lunch break to burn a few extra calories. This is a nice bit of exercise kit that doesn’t take up much space.

It is great value for money spent, happy with the quality, it’s made of very good quality materials, and keeps track of the skips done, the adjustability is great and comfortable to hold.

My digital screen skipping rope is a game-changer! The real-time display for calories, jumps, and timer keeps me motivated and on target. Not entirely sure if the calories are correct however I love the time aspect as it only goes up when you’re working out so you definitely do your set time rather than resetting and cutting corners. Would recommend to those looking to buy a new skipping rope!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcellent skipping rope that can be used anywhere, inside or out. The weights on short rope gives that flexibility to use in places with low ceilings meaning you never have to miss any sessions.

I’m a keen skipper but find it difficult during the winter with it being colder and darker but the cordless function of this means I can get all the same benefits but can do it from inside and warm! Would highly recommend!

I really like this rope. A good weight and doesn’t get tangled easily. The counter is really useful and changing between the rope and the weight is simple. I bought one for myself and my son started using it, so I got another one.

It keeps track of the skips you’ve done. The weights are as expected, don’t think it makes a difference with them on and off but each to their own. The wire is adjustable so great for small and tall people

Easy to handle and use there isn’t any weight on the balls at all and the only weight is on the side that has the battery and counter on. If you are looking for a weighted jump rope pay more this for me works for now comfortable to hold no slipping. To note I only use the balls to skip as I live in a flat. Regarding the performance I can’t attest to it as I only use one part.

Just a few days of skipping and I can see an improvement. Very easy to set up and adjust. Great purchase. Would be good if it came with an app too

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI never knew that a cordless skipping rope existed until I came across this one. I’m not going to lie, I’ve gotten lazy since I’ve been working at home and ten solid hours in front of a laptop is not good for anyone which is why now I do 55 minutes of work and set a reminder every hour to do 5 minutes of skipping. It gets your heart rate up and your steps in. Having the Weighted balls on instead of the rope really does feel as though you are skipping but without the risk of smashing a light bulb or a window. It feels really great to get moving again. The fact that it counts your steps etc is just an added bonus. I would definitely recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersArrived promptly and well packaged. Such a simple idea for those like me just cannot use a skipping rope or have no headroom where you intend to use the. Not much to go wrong with them and the counter is easy to use , having said that its not something I make use of at present I just skip with them. Simple but effective idea . It get heavier ones may be of benefit in the future if such things are made – perhaps an opening in the market there.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersA really good idea. For those who thinks its silly, it’s actually not. When you aren’t a professional boxer and haven’t been skipping since you were a kid, it can be very difficult to skip well without constantly tripping over the rope. Now if you do it regularly you will improve and trip over less, but it’s extremely frustrating and when you tire end up tripping over the rope even more, you whip your arms and for those who do it barefooted, you whip your toe nails which is excruciatingly painful. This ‘rope’ gives you the same workout but is in one way harder, because as you don’t have anything to trip over, it means you have to skip for the full amount of time without getting the rests you get every time you trip over the rope and have to reset. I used to be better at skipping when I weighed less and was younger, but now its damn hard to skip well without constantly tripping over and if I skip for lets say a round of 3 minutes, I waste maybe 30 seconds to a minute on having to reset after tripping over. In the picture I’ve included, you can see that I did 13 minutes of skipping which was actually 6 x 2 minute rounds (and a bit extra), and I had 30 seconds rest between rounds. In that time I did 1,840 skips and burned 372 calories. I sweat buckets. I usually train hard doing boxing for an hour or more, or sometimes go running, and although I sweat a lot, I actually sweated more doing the skipping to the point where it was dripping out of my sauna suit. Skipping is said to be better than jogging, and with this its even better as you can move around in ways you can’t do when skipping, you can do jumping squats as well which takes years to master with a real skipping rope. I’ll be using this 2-3 times a week from now on.

Trying to get fit, for a cheap price I picked up this set of skipping ropes, it has interchangeable wire, to a some weights so if your just getting started you can practice and build a bit of stamina before using the wire.

The built in “computer” helps with count and a few other cool features, for the price a great get fit aid. Very pleased

Bought this last month to help with my training.
Comes with a rope and also weighted balls so you can have either with the same effect.
Easy to set up, adjust and change over
    Counts all the skips
Far better quality than majority of the skipping ropes I’ve ued

I love this. Was really skeptical at first thinking it can’t be like skipping. But once you start, the weight of it really does make you feel like you’re skipping.. the electronic counter is reasonably accurate and it’s really easy to set up and use.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIt is fairly easy to setup, the manual is acceptable, but I could not figure out what purpose for the balls, so I do not use them…Otherwise it is alright.
The weight of the handles are good, it spins fine but you need to spin it. I mean, if I just spin it lightly and slowly, it does not count the spin BUT only if you spin it too slowly and the rope is loose. So you need speed for proper counting.
I like the built-in LCD display and the 4 modes and it also comes with a handy carrier bag, extra battery and a small screw driver.

Got this for my daughter & she loves it .. very easy to use the electronic features & the item is made of very good quality materials… when using it without the “rope” it’s great fun indoors … you are not scared of breaking the lights ….. this item is much better than we thought.

Quick delivery, easy to set up as it came with instructions. Been using it for over 3 weeks now and it great fun to exercise to, apart from when wearing shorts and I whip the back of my legs (ouch) also it tells me how many calories I have lost which is helpful! Very happy with the produc

I love it. I was able to adjust the length so that it fit my height. I am still trying to figure out how to work the counter but I haven’t read the instructions. So that’s a me problem.
I’m hoping that I can skip for longer.
