Had a problem with being able to screw the bottom one on, but I am very happy with them. They’re bright enough, big enough and are good quality.
My Son has these lights next to his gaming setup and it looks really good when it’s on. The effects are great and has many different colour modes. There’s a setting for pretty much any occasion and make a really nice bit of ambient lighting.
Highly recommended if you are after something like it.
Better than expected and great value for money and lots of different light themes to choose from ..excelle
Very quick and easy to set up.
Lots of different modes and colours.
Very impressive when both light bars are working in sync.
The seeking point of these lights for me is that they are powered by a USB lead rather than a plug. With the amount of electrical devices near our TV we struggle with having enough enough plug holes to accommodate everything, so the fact that these are powered by a USB lead was what attracted me.
You get 1 lead that attaches to both lights, we have a very large tv and the lead is long enough to display each each light beside it easily. The wire also has a control box attached to it.
The remote control is very thin. It isn’t always easy to use, it’s a though it works intermittently, even when I’ve pointed it directly at the control box.
You can download an app that gives you more options of controlling the light effects, and the app works better than the remote control.
They are really easy to set up but I’m not struck on the effects they give off, my hubby even less so.
I got this with the intention to use it for the front room but it was a bit smaller than i thought so i attached it to my Sim Racing Rig and it looks amazing and gives my rig a really good glow. As they are so bright i dont need extra lighting in that room now so im saving on electric .
I really like this product and would highly recommend it to anyone and looks really good at a gaming desk or racing rig
They come with a number of settings you can have them scroll through automatically or they can sync to music. I use them by my pc but they could be used wherever you wish. Very good quality and well made.
Like Harry Potter before he came of age, most of my day is spent living under the stairs. One day I hope to be able to upgrade to using one of the bedrooms as my office, but until then these lights are a great addition for providing some much-needed light to my dark, dingy area.
The lights sit nicely on my desk, and provide a good source of light – mostly I use these on the white settings, but it’s nice to have plenty of options available for different colours and sequences if I decide to have an under-the-stairs office party.
This set of light bars are controlled either with the included remote control, or with an app downloaded from the relevant app store. The remote gives quick control of the lights, but the app gives more flexibility and control.
The light bars can be stood up vertical in the supplied stand (they simply screw into the base),or can be laid flat on a suitable surface. Also supplied is some sticky Velcro pads that mean you can pin them to the underside of a desk/cabinet and son on. This is the way that I have them set up — underneath the tv unit, reacting to the sound of the TV.
You can set them up to show one colour only, or cycle through a variety of colours. The brightness of the lights is not overwhelming, even when put to maximum brightness, and I found them comfortable enough on the eye to give subtle illumination.
Overall, a small set of light bars that are flexible enough to put in various places, and aren’t too bright to distract.
I’m beginning to think that USB-C is the only way to power lighting. Fortunately you can now get extension cords that have built in USB ports so using one of those will give you versatility in where you place these as they have to be plugged in to work – you aren’t charging a battery they draw power directly.
The only downside to these is that both lighting towers are wired together and then go down through a control box to one cable that goes to the USB-A connector. The cables are a reasonable length (sorry I couldn’t find my tape measure to get the cable lengths) but it still restricts you as to where you can place these towers.
We haven’t downloaded the app to try with them but they work really easily off the included remote control. I am pleased you can set them to just a static cold white light as this means I can use them on my worktable when crafting and get a really good illumination going without them taking up much room. They are on a weighted base but I have found they are quite easy to accidentally knock over.
Overall a pretty good lighting solution that has fun options but are also practical.
A very cool kit that looks good, is easy to setup and changes the whole ambience of a room!
The setup is very simple and easy, however one annoyance is that the base is very loight and makes it difficult for them to stay stood up on a surface that wobbles or moves. Pinning them down with a plant or something makes them better.
This kit is USB powered and doesn’t have a plug with it, but we all have loads of those right?
Installing the app is simple and you scan the QR code and you are away. Giving you loads of different colours, scenes and things like music integration that uses your phone mic to do this. It would be nice if they had Wi-Fi integration for the app, but instead it is bluetooh. So you can set timers etc while home, but you cannot control these away from the home
Overall a lovely kit that is let down slightly by the base of the lights themselves.
These are well made compact vertical mood lights, that are comparable in height to a table lamp, but being a pillar design take up less room.
This means you can place them in a variety of locations, as well as that suggested by the product images, next to a tv or pc.
A little assembly is required, but it is very straight forward. Screw the main body of the light onto a weighted base. Honestly less than I was expecting, based on similar products.
Power and control is via a USB C socket, with a plug and lead running back to a joint control unit, from which an identical twin lead runs to power the second light. This is also the power lead that ends in USB A plug.
So as is often the case – you’ll need a free socket for that.
There are basic controls on the box, on/off, mode, and music.
Music works with sounds, so the lights flash reacting to the intensity of the noise, no sound, no light.
The limiting factor on placement is then two fold, the length of the USB C twin cables to the lights, and then the length of the USB A Power cable.
The lights further can be controlled by either a thin remote, which comes with a cell battery included, and is a familiar format, or by an app.
I found the bluetooth app was okay, but you are limited by bluetooth range.
I think at the current price of 29.99 these are a fun thing, when they are inert they look a little plastic, but once lit, they add colour and are fun.
I chose these light bars for our grandsons gaming area and he is very pleased with how they perform.
I’ve added some photos and a video clip which my 10 year-old grandson took himself after setting the whole thing up by himself from without any input from me, he chose to use the app to control the lights.
The set up was achieved in around 10 mins and it is very simple to use.
You can control the lights 3 different ways, via an in line switch, remote control or via an app, all very easy to do.
These do run from the mains or if available can be run from a power bank, so they can be very portable if you are having a BBQ etc and some music in the summer with no mains electric available.
You can set these to music, auto, change the brightness, there are loads of things to play around with to get different effects.
As for the quality, it sort of looked a bit cheap and cheerful in the box but on closer examination it is really very good, the back of the light is made from what seems to be aluminium which gives it a good amount of durability and strength.
The bases are very light so you may find it a little top heavy but you simply use the double sided adhesive pads provided to keep them in place I don’t really think there is a better solution for this other than having 2 extremely heavy bases which is not practical.
Overall we are very pleased with them, they look great in his gaming area and very good value in my opinion.
These were really simple to set and there are so many colour options and for moving lights even a speed option
They won’t light up a room (no party lights) but good for a desk the plan was to put them by the tv but I think I’ll need a side light too but we will see.
They are very light and just plastic but work great (mine had a few tiny scratches to the light face but you don’t notice and it doesn’t affect the light show)
These light bars arrived well packaged.
What’s in the box?
2 X Light Bars.
2 X Light stands.
1 X USB Light controller.
1 X USB to DC cable.
4 X 3m sticky pads.
1 X Remote Control.
1 X User manual.
You don’t get any power adapter in the package, so you will have to supply your own USB plug for these to work. This was not really a problem, because I had loads of plugs lying around.
They made the back of these light bars from aluminium, which was nice to see, because most of these light bars are made from plastic, so these light bars have a premium feel compared to the rest of their competitors.
I was wondering if these lights would run off a power bank, and to my surprise they did & worked flawlessly!
The remote is great and works at a good distance, there are lots of modes and 3 music settings, and an auto mode, along with controlling the brightness levels and timer functions, etc.
They also have an app & it’s called magic lantern, and it’s well worth downloading, as it opens up the lights to even more capabilities.
These light bars represent great value for money, and in my opinion, they are worth every penny of the asking price.
This set of light bars are really nice to go either side or a monitor or TV or in my case my daughter just uses them to have a mini disco in her room.
I like the simple bar with a screw fit stand that goes in the bottom and it has the modern and universal USB-C port near the bottom of each bar so that makes plugging the cable in very easy.
The cable powers both bars as it splits in two and then it has a little control box with buttons for on/off, mode and music. so that’s the first way you can control the bars.
The next way is via the remote control which has loads more options and you can change speeds etc while the last way is via the app, it’s a shame the app is bluetooth only and not wifi as well so you do have to be in range to change them but for most uses this should be fine. Its a little clunky and I would have preferred it to use one of the more universal apps like smartlife but it does the job ok.
Overall, for 29.99 they are nicely made, lightweight so portable and can be powered from a powerbank if needed so I do think they are value for money.
Item Recieved With Missing Thread, Seller Reached Out To Me & Replaced Them With New Set. Perfect For Creating Mood Lighting, Gaming & Mancave. Photos Show Broke Light Stand But Now Replaced Within The Week With Awesome Working Ones. 5 Star Service Going Above & Beyond.
Lights Have Many features, To Many To Mention But Work Very Well. Can Be Stuck To Rear Of TV Or Free Standing Which I Will Be Doing, All Cables Included Plus Remote To Create That Perfect Set-Up
Bought these for my son for Xmas for his pc set up. I was a little unsure as I thought they were a little expensive for what they were, however my son is very impressed!
These have alot of different light combinations, easy to use and look very smart when he is gaming. So i suppose a happy son makes a happy mum.
I have added this item to my starlight projector to create a really nice ambience in my living room. These are all low energy pieces of equipment, which is important during the current energy crisis. I would highly recommend these lightbars.
I honestly thought that the quality would be 50/50 due to the low price but this product is without fault. The brightness is spot on, there are probably too many settings to choose from which isn’t a negative. The response from the music setting is near enough perfect and the simple USB connection makes it a very easy product to use. I have recently used them whilst hosting a Halloween party and no other lights were needed!
Great for streams or even lighting realllly bright turn them down to a lot of diffrent combos line these DEFINITELY CHEAP AND WORTH it these would cost atleast 40 pound for how good they are I love these thing
Excellent RGB lights at a good price with a simple to use remote control.
Not yet tried the app that can be used for more granular control but they are easy to assemble with a heavy base for stability and a doddle to use.
Have brightened up my home work/leisure desk!
I just brought these so it gives my pc set up more of a comfortable setting.
These were easy to use and set up, have so many modes and different colours and easy to control on your phone!
The only downside is I wish they were a little more brighter. But apart from that they’re perfect!
