I brought these to put behind a screen I brought from luxury screens. They are very effective for what I wanted them for. Although I wish they were brighter they are pretty good.
That charge well and my son says they are still on when he goes to work at 3am.
However the is less if it’s not so sunny. The settings are good, don’t really use the dimmer or timer.
Generally very happy.
The only thing I would say could be improved is maybe some sort of rotation to help direct the solar panel to the sun. I still have not figured out the best location because of this.
Very happy with my purchase and would recommend to others.
Recommend you buy a separate waterproof exterior tape if you’re wanting to stick it outside. But there are some parts to attach it to your location. I used a mixture of both tape and the attachments. It’s been a few months now
With the solar powered lights and lanterns we have dotted around the garden, once dusk settles it resembles a fairy grotto. When my wife (she’s the gardener) got her hands on these she cable-tied them to the frame of the cat run, connected the solar panel and let them for a couple of days to fully charge. When switched on and using the remote control, can adjust the brightness (4 modes) or the blink rate (8 modes from static to chase). We got the blue, however, I’m tempted to buy the colour version, as I am impressed with how this light rope has worked over the 8 months it’s been in operation. The rope has been in situ through all weathers (snow, monsoon like rain and baking hot days) and works really well. Even with the limited amount of charge it was getting through the winter months we were still getting between 5-6 hours of operation at night before the battery ran out. The battery is an integral part of the solar panel and needs to be staked in an area that receives sunshine and not in a shady area. At nearly 33 feet this light rope is long enough to cover quite a large area and once up is zero maintenance. Thoroughly recommend.
I don’t usually leave feedback just because of time but the service I have received from this company is outstanding. I bought 2 sets of lights and 1 set wasn’t working correctly so instead of returning them I just emailed to see what I could do. Without any questions I got a reply stating I would be sent a replacement and no need to send the faulty ones.
Two days later I get my replacement and they are working perfectly.
Thank you for such a great service and I wish more companies respected their customers as you do.
All the best
David
These are great for garden , they are very bright which I love considering they are solar powered , only thing I did have to buy clips to fit them as clips that come with them are not strong enough to hold them straight over all very happy
These are amazing we have bought a flag pole for the caravan and these fit perfectly they are so bright and last 3-5 days would definitely recommend
Worked well for a couple days of use but then stopped working. The charging indicator implied that the solar panel was still working but the battery wasn’t holding a charge.
Replaced the battery (which involved soldering) with another rechargeable battery and now works just fine.
Seems like a good product but mine just happened to come with a dud battery.
EDIT: Customer service got in touch and were very helpful in sending a full replacement which has been working.
This is a superb product. The company has been great to deal with, very quickly solving my problem.
These are pretty cool lights as they can be used to illuminate fences, decking, around the edges of the guttering (if using as house lights for normal decoration or Christmas), ideal for camping (to illuminate either inside your tent with solar panel outside or across the top or around the entrance to be seen in the campsite at night), around gazebos, caravans and even used inside a motorhome or campervan. The stripping is for either indoor or outdoors as the strip is encased in a protective silicone tube so highly weatherproof. I like the fact you can actually see when it is charging as most solar lights it’s not possible to know until night time if you have pressed the power button on or off. Also having a remote control too makes it easier if you want ultimate brightness by only having on say just 3 hours or any of the other times sessions but also you can just have it come on when dark. You can also adjust the brightness too especially if using inside a tent but also the dimmer the light the longer it will last on charge if on the timeless setting.
What I wasn’t too keen on this was that I have to buy my own adhesive seperately if I want to attach it outside in the garden which is what has prevented me so far from installing it as I need to look for a suitable outdoor waterproof glue as per the instructions.
It is a nice length of 10metres and is solar based which will light up the garden.
I am aiming to have it on the front of the house, glued to the bottom of the house and front garden wall and hope that won’t be too distracting for the neighbours as if it is, I will need to place it in my back garden thought that has artificial hedging and I am unsure how to attach it unless I use cables.
It is possible and will be a big job for me to get the measurements right so that it is even.
There is not much sun these days so it won’t stay bright for very long.
It has potential.
Very kindly they have replaced the faulty product and I am very grateful
This 10 meter strip of 560 led lights appears to be very well made with quality fittings and should withstand the worst the British weather can throw at it.
20 cable ties and numerous screws and clips are supplied for you to position and fix the strip how you want it. The strip connects to the solar unit via a waterproof screw-in plug and the solar unit can be staked into the ground or fixed to a tree or wall – any position where it has clear view of the sun.
A light sensor will switch the led’s ON when it gets dark and OFF when it gets light – though this can be overridden via the remote.
The solar unit is paired with an infrared remote control where you set timings, brightness and mode of operation.
Using the remote you can switch the led’s OFF and ON (if it is dark) and set how long you want the led’s to stay ON the options being 3hrs, 5hrs 8hrs or timeless where timeless means the led’s stay ON until it gets light or the battery runs down. There are 8 modes and 4 brightness levels to chose from, the modes include include static, flash, slow flash, strobe and chase. Don’t lose the remote.
This is a fun piece of kit that can be used in many more places than just the garden, take it with you camping or use it indoors, it just needs the solar unit to see the sun. Value for money? – it’s nearly there but I’d like to see it lose a few pounds, so for now – 4 stars.
Works brilliantly. Could be brighter but they are decorative. Not meant for lighting my workshop :,)
Did not dislike anything about the strip lights.
I am going to use them on a whip flag pole.
The 10m strip did not have any adhesive strip. Had to buy a separate roll on amazon. The lights look bright. Comes with a remote. The led strip has some sort of cover over it.
This light strip is very nice for some warm white glow in the garden.
You get a 5m Light strip with 280 LEDs on it and the back has some double-sided tape to hold it in place. You can trim the light strip down to size if you wish at the cut points and it’s all controlled via a remote control.
It is powered by a little solar panel which has a power and mode button round the back as well as indicator lights saying if it is charging or lighting. At the bottom of the back is a slide in mount which you can use to mount the panel to a fence or wall etc, and it does come with some small screws and fixings to that, or you can slide the spike in the end of that mount then put it in the ground.
Overall, I really like it and I am impressed with how bright it is at night, priced at 22.99 currently it is a good price and I’m happy not to have to worry about batteries and yet still get a nice evening glow in the garden.
