Q&A

Question 1

Q: If the usb is permanently connected, can it still benefit from solar charging?

A: If the usb is permanently connected, the solar security light outdoor motion sensor still benefits from solar charging.

Question 2

Q: I received the product for the first time, how should I use it for the first time to make the best use of it for lighting?

A: I need to leave it in direct sunlight for a whole day after receiving it and then I can turn on the light. If there is no sunlight or you want to use it as soon as possible, you can use the USB to power it.

Question 3

Q: The solar panel has been covered by a few leaves, will this situation affect normal use?

A: If a solar panel or part of a solar panel is shaded, this part will not generate electricity but will be used as a load, thus consuming the electricity generated by the other solar panels. In this case, the shaded part of the panel will become hot, which is often referred to as the “hot spot effect”. This effect can be severe enough to damage the solar panel.

Fantastic light for outside your shed or garage it will detect your movement from a few feet away which is fantastic and it’s very bright for a small unit.
Do check the size as on the product description as this is much smaller than what i expected only because i didn’t but it’s a great compact little light.
Solar power is really strong, even on a over cast day this little light will still light up even if a little dulled it’s still enough to see the lock on the shed.
Definetly waterproof, has withstood severe thunderstorms, high winds and extreme heat yet carries on working as it should do, great valeu for money and easy installatio

Good quality and simple to set up. One button controls all functions so they are very easy to use. The light is really bright and the solar panel effectively charges the light during the day. They feel well made and robust. Excellent solar lights.

I ordered a few of other brand’s, near identical looking products earlier last month. This appears to be the same product under a different name.
So I’m pleased that my gut feeling was correct, as my experience with the other products was fantastic and hasn’t changed at all with this one.

The solar cell and battery amount is decent enough to last long evenings.
The motion detection works very well. Not overly sensitive, but works when you want it to illuminate.
    Installation was dead simple.

This light is smaller than I expected but the light is good and bright.
The design is compact and looks nice.
The motion sensor works really well. They are three different Modes of light to choose from and they are good. I like it it is a good Solar Light.

I now have a few of these lights and I can’t believe the power of the light field they create for their size. They are brilliant, I have even had my Milkman ask me where I go them from as he was so impressed. They are solar powered and even charge on the dull rainy days too. Really impressed!

I ordered this to put on our wall next to our side gate so that our guests can easily see how to unbolt the gate when coming and leaving.

The light comes with screws that can be used to attach to a wooden fence easily. However I needed to put this on our next door neighbours garage wall and I didn’t want to drill holes so instead used double-sided nano tape that has been holding it perfectly well as its very light.

There are 3 different settings to choose from and this is controlled by the power button at the front which is good if you want to change the mode without having to take it down first. I have used the 3rd mode – strong light on motion detection and it works very well – it comes on when motion is detected within a few metres and it is very bright and provides plenty of light and does exactly what I wanted.

It’s been up a couple of weeks so far and I’ve tested it most evenings and it has consistently worked even on the evenings where we’ve not had so much sun (recently most days have been sunny anyway).

I think that it is quite pricey for one lamp compared to others I have where for similar they have come in a 2-pack. However the light is very bright compared to some of our others and keeps charge well so perhaps that’s why its a bit more than others. I’m very happy with this and happily recommend it 🙂 Thank you 🙂

A great light for night. I got two of these to help see when coming home In the dark from work. They simply turn on with motion using the built into PIR sensors. Bright and simple to install

This small unobtrusive motion detected outside solar light is fab. So bright and will last all night on one charge from the built in solar panel. Fit it at an entrance and enjoy the extra security. Super easy to fit too with only two screws.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super bright for its size

Easy to install, a couple of Screws supplied. Pop it in place, it will start to charge and will work as soon as it gets dark. Plenty of charge for all night. A great security light.

I have seen plenty of solar lights recently of this style and nearly all of them are much the same build quality and performance.
these are branded LaiTeny and all the relevant information has been etched onto the back plate of the light giving a bit of a premium look sadly its all hidden when mounted!
as for the light itself these tri panel lights give of a huge amount light given what it is and the PIR helps make it worthwhile lighting up when someone is detected (or something in our case as the hedgehog sets them off at night!) mounting hardware is included along with a double sided sticky pad to make it as simple as can be mount wise and given it sells at just under 10 your getting a bargai

These solar lights are a great addition to my garden. They light up the area nicely and they are very responsive to motion. I like how they turn on and off automatically depending on the light level. The battery life is impressive and they charge fast during the day. The only thing I wish they were better at is the quality of the material. They feel a bit flimsy and I’m not sure how long they will last. But for the price, they are a good deal and I’m happy with them. I would recommend them to anyone who needs some extra lighting for their outdoor space.

    A rather bright light.
It worked straight out of the box.
The instructions are simple though with 3 modes.
Put outside in the daylight for daily charge.
It comes with a fixing kit consisting of 2 screws and plugs to drill into a fence or wall if required.

A very powerful light for the size.
    Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars A small but mighty light.

I have similar lights which I have had for years which continue to work really well and which I think are great. These look quite similar bur more compact. Come with instructions. fixing nails and a tank you card. This one is easy to put up and requires no maintenance other than a wipe with a cloth now and again. Dotted around d my back garden with others makes a nice lighted walk

I really like this design of solar lights.

I have the opportunity to review a few solar lights, and among them are units that follow this same basic design, albeit varying a little, with some taller and some wider, but essentially being a flattened prism with the solar panel atop and the light below, coupled with a motion sensor.

They are not the prettiest light fitting; the array of LEDs and appearance is somewhat industrial, but what matters is they are effective.
Having tried some packaged in a more traditional design, I’ve yet to try one sconce type that performs adequately.

Whereas this light performs. It is also IP65 water resistant, which means driving rain, which is the weather in the winter months in the UK.

I personally find the third light setting option – optimal, as does the description “Strong light sensor mode (recommended)”, so that’s on bright when the sensor detects movement. This best suits my needs.

The obvious limiting factors with these lights are, first, their battery life, which I’ve found to be adequate when on sensor mode — even over winter (at least based on a very similar design I installed late last year), The other being the need to position the light where they are in direct sunlight during the day.

Otherwise, these lights are great for places where you don’t have mains power. The light wash is similar to a 60-100w traditional incandescent bulb.

In conclusion, a great light at a very reasonable price at the time of writing of 9.96

Full five stars for this solar garden light so easy to use & fit using the fitting kit or you can just lay down, this will need at least 24 hours in direct sunlight and then will give you hours of light, with three different settings

I have attached this light to the fence at the top of my drive, the light is nicely made and offers a few options regarding brightness and motion sensing. You can have the light on low, medium or high until motion is detected and then it lights right up, it provides a surprisingly large amount of light and is ideal for lighting up my driveway and when Im getting things out of the boot of my vehicle it lights up the space well. Overall a pretty compact unit that is very handy espescially with the solar charging.

This is way brighter than I had expected – there are 3 settings, and the brightest is shown in my photos.
We have a narrow passage to the recycling bins, and even though the lamp is in shadow for a lot of the day it seems to have picked up enough charge to light up at night as we go out to the bins. This lamp has LEDs to the side as well as the front – and is ideal for the use in our passage.

Fixing to a wall was easy – the screws and wall plugs come in the box. It also survived the weekend rainstorm and worked, so it seems to have been built with UK weather in mind.

If it fails before the year I will be back to update this review – but for now I am pleased and would be happy to get this brand again.

5.0 out of 5 stars works well - the side LEDs make it good for use in a narrow passage.

This is a good solar fence light.
You put it up and it does the business.
As dusk falls the solar light gets to work.
If you walk past the light it lights up.
    Brilliant.
    Really good for security.
A quality solar fence solar light.

I’ve wanted one of these for a while now and I’m glad I got this one. It’s not bulky or heavy. Just the right size and weight, makes it easy to install.

It is solar powered which is great and I like that it has a motion sensor. Quite bright and happy with it.

Review for Solar Lights Outdoor Motion Sensor – 121 LEDs Solar Power Security Light Led Wall Lighting for Garden Patios, Fences

A versatile and easy to install solar charging light with PIR sensor to allow triggering on movement detection and give a crisp cool white light. The lights are rated as IP65, so more than capable of surviving the weather. Supports 3 different lighting modes which ranges from PIR activated to always on. The lights ideally should be located in full direct sunlight if possible, before use charging for around 6-8 hours is recommended. Overall a bright compact and well priced easy to install solar charging outdoor light.

I have a number of other solar LED lamps in this style and generally find them very useful as they can be used to easily light up areas of the garden which don’t have a handy electrical supply. This one has lots of LEDs which are very bright on their highest setting, and manage to illuminate a good area. The movement sensor is useful too, and means the lamp only needs to use power when someone is nearby. The light has a very white colour tone to it which is quite effective for seeing things.

    Solar Lights Outdoor Motion Sensor

This solar light is rather compact than what i was expecting however, it rather bright and does the job in lighting up an area.
The spread of light was ok its decent enough personally i have an outdoor light which is mains powered and it bright enough to light up half the garden but since everyone is trying to save money by not using as much electric this is a better solution it didn’t light up half the garden but its not far off considering it size.

Three settings to choose from 1. Dim light that will last all night and will switch on when it gets dark.
    2. is the light is always on after dark however, it get alot brighter if motion is detected. 3. will only turn on when motion is detected this is what i personally use as i don’t need it to always be on yet may act as a deterrent for any would be thieves.

The other thing i can’t report back is how this light will charge during the winter months when there less day light using the third method should help as it would only turn on when motion is detected however, any other mode may not last the full night or fully charge.

Installation is rather easy you get all the screws needed however, if placing it on a brick wall you may want to use a more heavy duty screw.

Overall a good source of light that doesn’t need batteries or to be powered by mains, small and compact.
