Solar Motion Sensor Light Outdoor (White) from Goodatech
This is an easy solution to add security to your property where the main power supply is inaccessible. It’s low maintenance and easy to install. It includes all bits and pieces to mount on the fence/ wall. Since it’s solar-powered, I don’t need to deal with wires and cables. It looks like a security, with the blinking red light making it look real.
The solar panel is big enough to capture natural light. In my experience, this is sufficient to capture natural light in the daytime decently. It is recommended to position the solar panel strategically to maximise its efficiency. It impacts how it will charge during the day and how long it will light up at night (if you intend to put it on always-on mode). It has PIR that detects movements. It is sensitive enough to detect motion. It’s essential to keep the sensor clear to avoid delays.
Brightness 3.5/5. Before fixing it on the wall/fence, I suggest testing it by putting your palm on the solar panel. It should light automatically, then position the lights and solar panel according to how you need them. The lights and solar panel’s angles are adjustable. Unfortunately, it didn’t have a remote to adjust its mode conveniently. Also, I’m unsure how it can manage cloudy days; I’ll update this comment if something comes up. But overall, I still find it recommendable.
The solar motion sensor light I have is not only a source of light but also acts as a dummy security camera. It gives the appearance of surveillance, adding an extra layer of deterrence to potential intruders. The waterproof construction and portable design make it suitable for various outdoor applications.
On the whole, this is a good product. My only negative feedback, the plastic of the fixing plate is quite flimsy. I’ll confess, I dropped it whilst trying to get it in place and the plastic broke straight away, to the point I’ve had to use a binding agent to get it to stay in place now. So, don’t drop it and its all good .
It fies a great job of looking like a solar power security cam, so decent preventative item. Solar panel works well so far, the real test of solar is just how long it lasts for, and chances are a year from now I won’t be updating my review, so we’ll never know. The motion sensor is decent and comes on inline with how you set it, and the light provided is also really good. Works as a way if lighting up your door when you get home or again, as a deterent to anyone approaching your house that shouldn’t be.

I am very pleased with how well this solar-powered motion-sensor security light works; the motion sensor is adequately sensitive & when activated the brightness & range of the light is very good.
However, the quality of video pictures from the dummy camera is disappointing, certainly not good enough to identify any intruder … it’s OK, I’m only joking!
If the dummy camera does its job in deterring anyone with ill-intent from coming on our property, it will have done a good job, but I would hope that it never has to do that job … so far, we have never had an unwelcome intruder in the 40 years or so we have lived here! This dummy security camera is just an added deterrence, & provides useful additional lighting between the garage & the front door of the house. The blinking red light (infra-red camera?) during darkness when the light is not lit adds to the deterrent effect.
Fitting was complicated by the fact that I was fitting it onto the bargeboard of our single-storey garage, in order to get the solar energy to charge the battery. The front of the house faces north, so lacks solar energy, & the west-facing wall of the garage was a better bet. However, it was necessary to construct a wooden mounting block to move the light’s mount outwards by about 3 inches, beyond the guttering, in order to free up the light’s solar panel to be able to be manoeuvred to face the afternoon sun, tilted back over the top of the gutter. Arranging that took considerable time & effort, which would not have been necessary had the solar panel been on a separate mount with a short length of wire connecting it to the light.
But now that it is fitted, I am pleased with this solar-powered motion-sensor security light/dummy camera. I am even pleased that the white finish of the light does not fit in with the external dark brown hardwood windows & doors & black (bargeboard) woodwork & black guttering, in that it makes the dummy camera more visually prominent, adding to the deterrent value.

Easy to install and does give off quite a bit of light. It is motion sensored so can detect movement and you can also increase and decrease the brightness of the light. Good quality camera with is ideal for deterring burglars.

This is really realistic and is a nice good solid unit that feels like the real thing. The solar panel is a good size so gives some good charge and the unit is responsive with a good very flexible angle that you can position easily regardless of where you screw it into the wall. Really impressed for the price and would thoroughly recommend.

This is different that any solar lights I’ve used previously as it’s shaped like a security camera to detter potential intruders.
It’s easy to install up on a wall with a bit of DIY and once in place, it will soak up sun during the day and then turn on automatically at night.
It also has a sensor which is triggered when motion is detected and can increase the brightness of the light.
The solar panel and the dummy camera can be tilted and twisted into the position you want to maximise sun exposure and position the light as you want.
All in all, it’s a good summy security camera and light to deter potential intruders.
