Originally purchased for garden work, but ended up using this as emergency scissors for my rock wool loft installation. If it was sharp enough to go through heaps of 300 MM fiber glass it should do a good job on hedges as well.. the telescopic handle works well but will need a little bit of muscle power.. so not necessarily a good buy for the elderly, unless I am using it incorrectly.. never read the instructions – don’t remember seeing it 🙂 great product – hopefully it will last.

Just what I was looking for. Gives that added reach to cut hedge without step ladders. Lovely and sharp and well made.
Great price and arrived sooner than stated on Amazon page. Only took just over 1 week to arrive.

I ordered these shears because I couldn’t find the set I’ve been struggling with for a couple of years. They arrived in a timely manner, safely packed and I noticed a marked difference in their performance compared to my usual pair. They are much lighter and therefore easier to use, as they can be extended it isn’t such hard work to cut the top of the hedge and seem a lot sharper than I’ve been used to, if they hold their edge I will be very, very happy with this product.

It’s definitely a quality product but for my ageing wrists a bit heavy. Cuts really well and the shock absorber is great. It looks good. Great price and looks as if it will last years. Heavier as extends and is a solid bit of kit.

Really good quality item which arrived quickly and well packaged. I chose it specifically for the telescopic handles but I wish I’d checked the weight before I ordered it. It’s too heavy for me for it’s intended purpose. Great for low shrubs but not so much for higher hedges. Would however recommend to anyone not such a whimp as me.

Good quality and sharp, I would say a bit sharper than the average hedge cutters. I bought them in the hope of being able to cut back a very thick privet hedge; in the end they were not strong enough and I had to do the job with secateurs, but they are still useful for other pruning jobs around the garden. They have a robust and sturdy feel to them.

I really wonder why anyone would both to use Yodel to do their deliveries. Not for the first time I have had problems with their deliveries and not only from Amazon. Today they delivered my order I just happened to be standing in the hallway when I heard a tap at the outer pourch door, when I opened the door there was the man from Yodel with my parcel. I asked why he had not rung the doorbell, he said he had so I pressed the pushbutton and the bell worked. So not only for the first time have they not used the doorbell they don’t tell the truth. I now notice on their tracking system that they are also unable to read as they have recorded it being signed by me but can’t spell my surname correctly even though it is correct on the delivery lable. At least I got the parcel last time they took it away and then could not find it and it took 3 weeks to get a replacement. Amazon please stop using this rubbish delivery service.
yes the Shears work well even my Wife likes them.

Lovely shears and exceptional quality-but be very careful as they are very robust and sharp and could slice your fingers off if not used very carefully! Razor sharp blades! As for the delivery-the driver opened the box and rushed the giftee for a signature leaving the box out of reach by the side of the doorway. She took it in as he suspiciously sped away and saw he or his colleague had slashed it open and delved inside. Clear potential thieves and if valuable they’d have stolen it or the internal contents/further orders. BEWARE OF THE DELIVERY DRIVERS-BE ON YOUR GUARD AS LAW STATES IF YOU YOU SIGN-THEY ARE DEEMED AS HAVING DELIVERED IT IN A SAFE AND UNDAMAGED/UNOPENED CONDITION AND YOU WILL NOT BE REFUNDED!!!

I have had these a while now but only just used them and am very pleased. They were great value and I found them easy to use, despite the fact that I have spinal problems and am not very strong, so these are sharp enough to do the work for you. They don’t cut through thick twigs, but they have made very nice work of our front bushes and left them looking as though a gardener had done the job. I used them to re-shape a topiary bush too, and I have absolutely no gardening experience at all, yet it was easy to trim it back to the nice ball shape it had originally and these have given me the enthusiasm to start on the back garden next.
