Having been a long time user of speedsockets I hadn’t upgraded in a while. These are the same as ever, classic streamlined profile, ideal for training or competing and look good too. Very happy.

Having stocked up before they were discontinued, I wore the original speedsockets for years until my last pair finally died this summer. It takes so long to find goggles which fit properly but I (somewhat skeptically) got these as replacements in the hope that they wouldn’t have materially changed from the original design – and I was pleasantly surprised. After breaking them in, they are super comfy and the different sized nose pieces allow you to find the best fit for your face, just like the old ones. Happy customer.

Best goggles, bar none, for my son’s purposes, as a young (12 year old) competitive swimmer. He needed a new spare set, having gone through many sets in the past, and was due to attend the Scottish National Age Group Championships, where he had qualified in a lot of strokes and swims at a national level.

It HAD to be Speedo, HAD to be Speed Sockets and HAD to arrive within a matter of days. My wife was panicking, but I had faith in that nice Mr Amazon, and his little corner shop.

Ordered on a Wednesday night, arrived (in the Shetland islands) on the Saturday morning, off to Glasgow and the championships on the Monday. . Hooray for nice Mr Amazon! He and his delivery fairies do it again!

Superb value, great speed of delivery and notifications right up to the doorstep (literally).

They can take some getting used to with how they sit on your face, but don’t leak and don’t fog up massively (depending on the length and effort of your session!). Would highly recommend.

over all the goggles re perfect. my only complaint is that my nose and face are an awkward size and would best fit size in between the smallest and medium-sized nose pieces. the small one works however, though after prolonged use I do get a little bit of stress on my nose. everything else, however, performs just as you would expect a speedo product would and I have no other complaints.

Good goggles as you’d expect from Speedo. Comfortable and don’t let water in if positioned correctly. They come with different sizes nose bridges which are fairly easy to change. Though if I was to order again, I’d probably get clear as the mirror finish scratches quite easily. Keep them in the box when you’re not using them!

Bought as son is having swimming session and his old goggles were very foggy after 2 years.

These are very stylish and according to son, very comfortable. Not foggy at all during long wearing sessions but I guess eventually they will all are. Very clear in the water.

Not much to say really, you buy a good brand and have good product in return.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought these as a replacement for a similar pair that after what must be several hundred lane swims were showing signs of wear on the rubber seals and the anti-fog coating. I’ve used this type of goggle for many years.

It’s worth taking a little care in setting them up. I don’t generally have problems with leakage or the red marks around the eye sockets that others have commented on. Over tightening will leave the red mark eye socket problem and I suspect this also compresses the rubber seals to the point where water seeps in. From my experience they don’t need to be over-tight.

I’ve never experienced the scratch problems that others have commented on. I just fling the goggles into my swim bag at the end of a session.

One major problem — the packaging is completely over the top. A very elaborate plastic box. Shame on you Speedo — think of the environment.

I have always used speed sockets since I was a little girl and my last pair lasted me years. When they finally gave up the ghost I didn’t hesitate to buy the new fast skin speedsockets, but I must admit even though the goggles are a great shape and there is more visability than the last ones. The nose bridges are different and it’s very hard to get the right one as they are either too close together and pi ch the bridge of your nose or too far apart and you feel like your goggles are on the side of your head! However, with a vit of perseverance and man handling I have managed to stretch the smaller nose clip so it fits well.

I bought these for my little one. He loves them as I do. Both of us use them (we’ve got a pair each). I have been using these for years – not the same pair, but I stick to them. REASON – Read the Headline. My son is over the moon with these. They last, save me the trouble of listening to any groaning and most importantly they are fit for purpose.

I see a lot of reviews saying that these are too tight, or uncomforable or are painful. The reality is, you just have to get the fit right on your face. The way they grip to your skin means you dont have to push down hard to get them in place. If you do this, there will be pain. I give 4 stars because the anti-fogging could be a little better. Although all in all, I’m really happy with them for the price.

Over the last three years I have have had problems replacing my previous goggles. The fit has always been the problem. The four sets of goggles I have tried have all leaked while swimming lengths. Brought these after reading the reports. From day one I have had no problems. Great set of goggles.

Really nice goggles but just not suited for people with big noses. Even with the largest size bridge piece provided with the goggles the bridge still sticks into the side of my nose. The frame (the hard plastic, not the rubbery bridge piece) that the bridge piece clips onto is the issue, it points into your nose too far.

Other people tried these on with no problem, it was just me that they didn’t fit. (Andy Samberg type nose)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought these goggles to replace a set I lost, after using a pair of back up goggles for the past few weeks which leaked everytime I swam and had to be adjusted for every length these are a god send they do not leak at all they are a bit of a tight fit and they do leave some relatively visible marks so could be a bit more comfortable as the nosing is a little close even on the larger settings. I guess these weren’t meant for continuous usage over long periods and possibly more for shorter race events hence the 4 stars if they were a little comfier they would be 5 stars. So far no leaks and no fogging they give great visability even though they are mirrored. They look the part too.

Speed sockets are the only goggles I’ve ever got along with & after a 12 year break from swimming these have not disappointed! They are comfortable for me & I’m not worried about them letting water in or fogging up. They come with a choice of three nose clips & a little netted bag to store them in. The bag is great for keeping my swimming cap in too. These will be the only goggles I use for swimming.

Boom, best google I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned loads. I asked some other swimmers which ones they recommended and all the guys I know who do triathlons recommended these. NEVER leak. Perfect goggles and very comfy. You will probably have to swap out the nose ridge if you have a big head like me, so make sure you utilise these and then you will have no issues. Perfect goggles.

More comfortable than speedsocket 1.. I had to push a little to avoid a leak, afterwards I swum for 2 hours without any leak. I am using the large nose bridge. This design looks really fabulous. However you can look right trough the mirror. I had some other mirrored Speedo googles in the past (Merit, Speedsocket 1, Opal), and they were all MUCH darker tinted. I haven’t tested these outside yet. I tend to use my older mirrored goggles for the sea anyway, because of the sand.
Remember, to avoid fogging, I use a small amount of Palmolive handsoap, and rince it under cold water. Works everytime, good for at least 90minutes. Don’t buy those expensive tiny anti-fog bottles !

UPDATE: These are NOT mirrored!!! When swimming backstroke on a sunny day I have to close my eyes. They look nice, but definintely NOT mirrored !!! You can see right through them from the front too.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery durable, stylish, and comfortable! I swim 5 times a week and have often had trouble finding goggles that either fit nicely or last very long. These goggles have been great so far. They are extremely comfortable, the double strap seems to spread the pressure around your whole head rather than focus it like single strap goggles and the eye pieces rest well around your eyes. I have been using these for 2 months non-stop and haven’t had any trouble whatsoever. The strap is easily adjustable and doesn’t drag on your hair.
