Sturdy product which does the job but took forever to inflate and that was with a pump – forget trying to use your mouth! It was also difficult to even deflate. I’d recommend the product but just bare in mind the above before buying.
I can’t really comment on this item to much. A friend of mine uses the same one and her little one loves it. It does the job. Leg space is a little snug for babies with chunky thighs. Looks good and can’t wait for my little one to splash around.
I couldn’t manage to inflate it but my partner did easily. My one year old fits great in it and enjoys swimming in it. Much better than arm bands as piece of mind baby is secure.
Well this took ages almost an hour to inflate with electric pump, which I found very frustrating, however once up, perfect size of a little big for my 20 month old son. Great float tho.
Excellent toddler swim seat. Our 15months old daughter loves it and just loves floating. The only issue is that it is hard to inflate it but it us very sturdy and strong product.
Again a great product from speedo. The swim float is very easy to inflate and deflate, you won’t need a pump in my opinion. The water float is quite sturdy when blown up and looks robust. The float is unisex however due to the blue it looks a bit boyish.
I think it’s more appropriate from 5-12 month as the baby would sit quite low and won’t have enough head control to be able sit in it safely.
A decent swim seat that’s reasonably well made
It’s easy to inflate and works really well, it’s deflates easy and quickly and compacts down quite small which makes it handy for your hols.
I don’t agree with 0-12 months, possibly 4 months onwards should be ok and maybe with a little extra support
The price may sound a little high but it’s worth a try
The swim seat is a great way for your child to be introduced into water and will also assist in giving you confidence in your Childs first entrance to the water. It is part of speedos baby turtle collection on the baby certainly finds it very eye-catching. It only comes in one size but the babysitting quite comfortably in the water and isn’t compressed or crushed in any way by the float which you sometimes see on cheaper inflatables. It was very easy to inflate and also deflated quite easily too.
This is fun and relatively easy to inflate Speedo Baby Turtle Swim Seat that is suitable for ages 0-12 Months. I personally liked the colours and found them to be bright and colourful, without being too in your face. The size range I would say is spot on as now I’ve tried it I would agree with the age range. It’s definitely fun and enables you bring your child along with you and for everyone to be involved.
A bright and fun swim seat that complies with international safety standards and offers a great way of introducing little ones to the water. The turtle design is fun and appealing and the materials used are all good quality, as you would expect from a brand like Speedo. Does everything I need it to and makes that first venture into the pool a lot less daunting!
The colours are a bit dull and I’d prefer something a bit brighter, which increases the visibility on a safety point of view as well.
Age range says 0-12 months but I think a younger child, under 3-4 months would struggle to sit comfortably as they would sink quite low into the seat.
It’s a great alternative to having to hold a young child whilst in the pool, which can be tiring and isn’t entirely safe either. The plastic is nice and thick, which lessens the chance of punctures and prolongs the life of the product.
The price is obviously higher than the cheap unbranded alternatives but I think when it comes to the safety of a baby you really need to choose quality over cost and this is miles better than a lot of similar products available.
Hope you found my review helpful.
This is a great product from the trusted Speedo brand and this product does not let the name down.
I played with my niece, who is 1years old, at the beach all summer in this.
It blows up easily and is god and sturdy. It also easy to get a grip of so I can hold on tightly.
She was very comfortable sitting in this and had a blast splashing about.
I love the bright orange colour as it is easy to see.
5 stars and highly recommended.
This is a winner with my friend’s son. he plays with it comfortably and it’s made from sufficiently strong materials to carry well and stable
A good product from a trusted brand
Having already tried the ‘Speedo Swimming Ring’ that was prone to have a child slipping through, it was nice to see that there is also an option from the brand for a safer ring that is for the very young. This Speedo option is half ring and half suit, in that you drop your baby into it and their lower half is supported like a mini pair of pants. Getting a 9-month year old into something like this is easier said than done, but once they are floating in the water, they are so distracted by the fun of it all that they don’t feel any discomfort.
The seat/ring is easy enough to inflate. It is not as jazzy as I would have liked and has a utilitarian feel to it, but then it does do the job so fair play. It will cater for most babies who you can supervise in the water, but once they start getting a little bigger, they will soon find it hard to fit into the seat section. This is the type of thing you purchase for the short term. It would be good for a family holiday if you planned to swim a lot in the pool as it will mean that the baby can come in with you too.
Please note this is not the girl’s suit that the item title is currently suggesting, but a ring/seat for a 6-12 month year old.
This is a great first swimming aid for the youngest of swimmers – simply inflate, and pop them in the seat. They can feel the water in security and kick with freedom underneath.
It is easy to push or pull around the pool too by mum or dad.
Love it.
Our son loves the water but we wanted to make sure he could float and be safe when we took both our children swimming. It’s easy to blow up and easy to use by placing your child into it once it’s in the water. It’s quite awkward to get your child out after you’ve been swimming and you want to go home as he certainly enjoying being in it and didn’t want to get out. Easy to use, deflate and take swimming with you as it’s not too bulky. Obviously you can’t leave your baby on their own in it but it allows them to splash away in the water and be safe with you beside them. Recommend for under 1 year old who aren’t walking as once our boy was walking he wanted to move around in the water without it and we have now moved on to arm bands.
****Please note that the Amazon page here is titled ‘Speedo Girls’ Seasquad Hot Tot Suit’ and the reviews already given seem to be of this product, however the product actually pictured, described and the product I am reviewing on this page is different – It is an inflatable seat to help introduce infants to swimming in a safe manner.
We have used a very similar product for our older children to help them to get used to being in a swimming pool and now that we have a three month old this has proved to be great for him in the water.
The floating seat is easy to inflate and once full of air you can get you infant into it quite easily – particularly if they have wet legs. Once in the seat they are well supported and can bob about safely (under adult supervision) in the water. Our son loves it and can wave his arms about and kick his legs easily and freely in the water.
At under 10 at the moment this is a great investment for anyone with an infant they are looking to get to enjoy swimming.
Obtained for my youngest grandson. Despite it being named as a ‘girls hot tot suit’ I cannot see why young toddler boys and babes cannot use this? It inflates very easily and appears to be well made and robust. Ideal for little ones taking their first splashy steps in the pool.
My little feller is about to start a toddler and baby swimming group with his parents. I’m sure this will help build confidence.
Next step, swimming arm bands!
We’ve been enjoying this ring in our local pool. It’s fairly easy to inflate (and deflate) – takes a minute or so and a bit of puff to blow up. Because it’s inflatable it hardly takes up any storage space when deflated so it’s easy to keep in our family swim bag or we have the option of throwing it in when on holiday or away for a trip. In the pool it’s sturdy and buoyant and our wee enjoyed themselves in it.
This Speedo swimseat is great value for money. It is a great aid to getting babies up to a year old used to water in a safe way as long as they are accompanied at all times. Well made and a tried and tested brand.
A good size when inflated and easy to slip baby into it. Safe and secure and a great way to introduce swimming to the little ones. It inflates easily and deflates well too. No complaints.
We took this Speedo Girls’ Seasquad Hot Tot Suit down to the local pool yesterday with our new 9 month old grand daughter. It was her first time in water, other than the bath. She was thrilled, as were we. It was a doddle to inflate just by blowing into the valve…took about 2 minutes with our son-in-law’s puff. Once placed in it our grand daughter grew a huge smile as she splashed about with her legs and was pushed or pulled along by her parents. The whole things held nice and steady with no unwanted tilting or tipping. A great way to get little ones used and prep them for swimming. She enjoyed it so much we’ve already arranged our next pool trip.
This is our second of this speedo baby floater as we lost the previous one on holiday.
It’s safe and sturdy, hours of fun for babies (and parents).
Doesn’t take long to inflate even by mouth.
5 stars
I’m not sure what is going on with the description of this product, as it states it is a girls suit, however, the image and product you receive is a unisex inflatable swim seat, suitable for younger babies up to 11kgs in weight, aged between 0-12 months. The seat is very balanced when baby is sat in it and allows baby to kick their own legs in the water, in order to propel themselves around in the water. However, you should never leave baby unsupervised, as there is always the risk that any float can tip over.
The seat is well sealed at all seams and has a back rest for baby to sit upright in the seat. It is easy to inflate and deflate, with the easy access ports.
The seat is ideal to allow swim parents to have a little more freedom in the pool, without the need to constantly keep hold of the little one, but swim alongside them as they practice kicking themselves around the pool.
Useful inflatable floatation device designed to encourage first time swimmers age 0-12 months. The ring will support a weight of up to 11kg. Inflates easily enough (if you have a pump or large enough lungs), and deflates down to a compact size to fit into a bag. Suitable for pool use as well as in the open water. The bright orange colouring means it highly visible in all situations. Overall well made, functional and well priced swim ring for young child.
Perfect for looking after baby in the pool. Blows up quickly and easily, stays inflated for the half an hour or so you’re going to need it for. Holds baby tightly but comfortably and just watch that face….
A must for any first holiday or Sunday mornings at the leisure centre.
