Used helpful gloves provided in a re-sealable package to insert this product around and slightly below the water mains inlet pipe under my kitchen sink after I had recent pipe leak ; the plumber told me everyone really should apply it completely around the pipe surface to help stop any rodent surface attempts (!) from main sewage systems. Such helpful advice .

This is the access hole chewed by a grey squirrel into the void at the gable end of house. It was working out how to get from here into the loft Access hole now stuffed with coarse wire wool. Squirrel has packed its bags and gone elsewhere. Yay!

5.0 out of 5 stars Grey Squirrel problem

I was having an increasingly worse mouse problem their primary entry point being under the washing machine and fridge plus a few other spots.
I thought to try this steel wool to seal every nook and crany and since I installed it Iam 100% mouse free.

I used the product to fill any holes in my house that mice could come through.
My mouse man said it was good we had done that as the mice cannot chew or eat it!
Since we started filling any holes in the skirting boards the mice have disappeared.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersUsed the product to fill a hole to prevent rodents entering my loft space. To date it seems to be doing its job. Be sure to use the gloves provided when handling the product as slithers of steel can embed themselves into your hands. Overall very happy so fa

I bought this after neighbours had a problem with mice. I had two barely accessible places that I thought was a threat. Put this in where needed and no sign of mice the wife is very pleased. Thought it a bit expensive but it keeps the wife happy so worth it.

I was very shocked to see how much came in the packet. I cut what I needed and placed in the area where there was hold very good value for money. I still have lots more.

It arrived today and I put it out in the garden, not as coarse as I have previously brought from homebase, but a lot cheaper. The gloves were very handy.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe have a rich wildlife garden but that also means it attracts some less welcome species. Not wanting to use poisons as I don’t agree with them and because of the buzzards and foxes we get here which I do not want to get secondary poisoning, we needed to find a way of deterring rats and mice without killing them. I used this product very successfully to prevent rats and mice from entering our attic. You do have to use a good amount of the wire wool and you need to really ram it tightly into each hole so it doesn’t dislodge but it worked perfectly. We also used this in our summer house along with peppermint spray which mice and rats hate, and that has also worked brilliantly to keep the little rodents out! Would highly recommend!

Golden Review Award: 26 From Our UsersI assiduously and painstakingly shoved this stuff (wear rubber gloves and you need to cut it with scissors and it gets everywhere and is sharp so you need to hoover after if you go around without shoes or have pets) in all the spaces I could find in my flat, even very small ones, basically anywhere it would fit, and the mice have not been back. For the record I tried peppermint oil and those plug in things that supposedly deter them and this is the only thing that has worked.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersDoes what it says on the pack – no rat visit recurrence. It came with gloves (surgical style, though white) which is a nice touch but they are single use so if I need to use the ~ half of the steel wool that’s left then I’ll need new ones as they tore.
