It’s very quiet as there is no fan to be noisy.
It does take a while to get cold, probably an hour or so before you can feel the effect but it does chill nicely.
Mine is in my workshop and it keeps my beaker of squash really chilled, especially in this warm weather. Chocolate bars are nice and crisp.
I haven’t used it on heat yet, but if it really does heat up to about 65’C then it’ll be used in the winter as well to heat up snacks.
And then there’s the fact it will work in the car as well.
What’s not to like?
Would recommend it.
Ordered for my better half so she can keep milk near to hand for a cuppa as she has mobility issues. Can fit two 1ltr cartons inside and keeps them chilled. Just what she was after.
So far so good not exceptionally cold but cold enough I will test temp when I get time nice and compact and very stylish will update when I’ve had it a while it will hold 6 cans 4 at bottom 2 at top also very quie
Bought 4 months ago. Still going great, so it’s not a cheap Chinese brand. Odd how it works, air isn’t cold in it, but the bottles are more chilled than in my own kitchen fridge! Holds about 4 slim coke cans or 4 330ml glass bottles easily.
This was bought to take camping . Have not been yet but have tested this product at home . It is very quiet and is cool enough quick enough for milk etc . Have not tested the warming element of this . Very pleased .
Excellent purchase, the only criticism is that the capacity is small.
I should of purchased a larger capacity.
However, the fridge was able to keep 4 bottles of 50mls of water very cold.
No regrets in buying the fridge.
I have a 6 litre mini fridge which is perfect for my bedroom
I am confined to my bedroom because of disabilities so having a mini fridge to hand is ideal to keep things cool in this hot weathe
Great little fridge. I use it to store breast milk in in the bedroom so I can pump through the night when up feeding baby. It feels as cold as the main fridge so I’m in no rush to get it downstairs and it saves me the trip In The night. It does make a little noise but we live on a main road and play white noise for baby so it’s nothing to us. If your a light sleeper used to silence it’d probably bug you but if not it’s fine! Love the option to use in the car if needed too.
I’ve been using this all summer when I’ve needed to travel and stay overnight. It works adequately in the car on the USB. I’ve used it for essentials, that I’ve decanted into tubs and bottles – milk (small glass bottle), butter, cheese, cooked meat and small ready meal. Always best to use already chilled products. I haven’t tried the warming function. For me the 4l was too small, the 10l too big and neither had the USB function (needed for the car travel)
Great little fridge. Arrived quickly. Can fit 6 cans in, good cold temperature. Bit noisier than I was expecting as it’s in my son’s bedroom, but great to keep him stocked up for GCSE revision.
I wanted a mini “fridge” to keep a few cans/bottles cool for when I wake up in the night (I find I small drink gets me back off too sleep). It is quite and many would be ok for it to be in the bedroom but I am a light sleeper so it is in the room next door. Whilst it does not have a huge capacity it can take cans, small bottles of fizz and those 1 Litre cartons of flavoured milk. My only advice would be don’t put it on fancy furniture…. The base is not sealed and so condensation can leak out. I just keep mine sitting on a tray – just in case.
Was looking for a small fridge to keep in bedroom, and I am very pleased. Was debating whether to get it , as the bad reviews outweighed the good, but I took a chance , and I’m glad I did . It can hold 8x cans of Fanta, sprite etc, and has a shelf on the inside which can be moved , and a Holder on the side , which has held 2x face masks , a mini pack of buttons and dairy milk from a selection pack . It has a handle on top, and can be used in its heat mode . Haven’t tried heat yet, but cool works really well . It is surprisingly quite , and am overall really happy with it . Bargai
I bought it with the idea of having it active in a motorcycle pannier for long journeys, but then discovered on reading the manual, that it shouldn’t be ‘bumped or shoogled about’ as I would put it :-). Because it’s just a quiet fridge though, I decided juts to keep it for cooling next to my bed. There’s a bit of a small, cool draft from the vents out the side, but as long as you don’t have it right next to your head whilst your sleeping (unless it’s a warm summers day :-), it should work out just fine :-). I’ve even had the heat setting on and the temperature changed in minutes from cold to hot and kept an already warm sausage roll hot for about 15 mins in my very brief test. Wins all around :-).
I’ve always wanted a mini fridge in my room and when I bought one for a friends birthday I thought it was the perfect excuse to get one for myself.
A larger capacity would be great but it is great for some cans of tonic water if you want a few gin and tonics whilst watching Netflix without having to keep getting up to get another drink and some cans of soft drink for the morning after when you need sugar.
The friend I bought hers for hasn’t taken in out and about yet but it’s worked for me and my purposes.
My daughters love this product and it fits brilliantly in their pink bedroom.
Keeps drinks cold and will also chill drinks after about 2 hours, easy to set up, just plug in the cable and turn on. Door is a bit stiff to close but not a huge flaw.
Capacity wise we can fit in 4 500ml bottles of water or 8 330ml cans of Pepsi, the door also has a small pocket to hold chocolate.
Fan is not that loud, no louder than say a Sky box.
Carry handle is also ideal and it comes with a cable that can be used in the car.
Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to have a small fridge in a room or car.
I got this mini fridge for my teenager daughter makeup. She loves it. It’s a bit noisy, you can’t tell during the day but you can at night time but my daughter doesn’t, her sleep is very deep so it doesn’t bother her. The temperature is fine for her make up and cream products like face mask but honestly I won’t storage anything else in there, I feel it isn’t appropriate for foods that need to be in the fridge, maybe just drinks but that’s it. Overall my daughter is happy with it, it looks cute and nice. I ordered white colour but I got violet instead, we didn’t care because it’s for a girls room so she loves the colour anyway.
I purchased this product as a solution to my need to keep various medications at the right temperature while moving from place to place – I’m currently in search of a new flat to to rent, and many hotels don’t have a fridge in their rooms anymore, so I was otherwise reduced to keeping everything, literally, ‘on ice’. Not an elegant or foolproof solution. The Subcold Ultra 6 seemed to answer my needs and so I purchased it for delivery to my hotel address. Sadly, the product must have sustained a bad knock in transit as the thin glass sheet fronting the fridge door had shattered into many pieces – I even cut my hand when removing the unit for examination. As I was leaving for another hotel the next day, I disposed of the faulty product as a safety hazard and here’s where the problems started. I filed a delivery feedback form – nothing in reply. I then conducted a chat with an Amazon representative who consulted with their supervisor – they agreed that they could not authorise a replacement or refund, that I would have to talk to Subcold. Which is odd, as the product page clearly says ‘fulfilled by Amazon’. Unable to be without this solution, I went ahead and reordered a replacement, which arrived without mishap and is functioning beautifully. The principle remains, however, that I have had to pay twice for the same solution through no fault of my own, while Amazon attempted to shift the blame back to the supplier. I’m really not impressed, and hope that this review will alert other customers to the somewhat dubious Amazon delivery services. If it happens to you, complain and review – maybe Amazon will lift their game in the future!
I wanted a mini fridge for ages and had done a lot of research with not much luck until I saw this little beauty. It looks smart and stylish – I have the black version, and holds enough drinks for me. At the moment I have 3 cans and two bottles of water in it but I do have room for more.
The temperature inside on switch-on was 26C and this morning it is 10C which is fantastic as this room is very hot – 27C at the moment. Drinks are perfectly cold. Remember, this is not your kitchen fridge but it sure is the next best thing. Love it. Oh and delivery was next day, can’t ask for more.
EDIT: Well it looks like my fridge has gone faulty too. Last night it started making a noise so I switched it on and off again but the fan wouldn’t spin and under the fridge was a kind of ‘sooty’ residue. Not good enough, lasted only 5 months. I think you get what you pay for to be honest which is a shame as it looked good. (I did notice it wasn’t getting quite as cold over the last few weeks though).
