I bought these for a specific purpose and it was to save me money on hundreds of paint match pots. These for me are getting a paint job done in stages or I wouldn’t get it done attall. I am very happy and will carry on painting like this for quite a while. Yes the jars are great and don’t leak, but thought I would share with you why I bought these. Great to have a range of sizes to. I am painting the living room with these and my son is going to paint the garden fence. Emptying one of these as opposed to a 2.5 litre tin, spurs you o
Well made, good service, good price and, most of all, very useful.
These are totally leakproof, I bring OJ for lunch and they’ve never leaked. Easy to clean and great size. Only negative is that they are not in anyway heat proof and will melt in very hot water. That said I’m buying more as they are really handy.
These are the perfect size and safe for little hands to fill with dried food to use as shakers. Good quality and value.
I love these. I brought them to put my fruit tea bags in. The work well.
Product is exactly the same as prescribed. Great Product.Must buy. Value for money.
Wife wanted to be able to pot up portions of her yogurt and she loves them
Useful for planning cynics for storing teabags. Much stronger than I expected
I like these storage jars but the walls needs to be bit thicker for strength otherwise they’re great! I have used half so far and will transfer rest to these jars!
It is super easy to open and is air tight it keeps slime perfectly in tac
For the price this jars are great.I used them to store dry products like loose tea, yerba mate etc.Didn’t test liquid but there is no any type of seal, therefore they are no leak proof for sure. For 500g products like coffee, tea, herbs etc 1.5L size its perfect, smaller size would be too small and this one with few gentle taps is just perfect size to hold 500g.Just don’t put them into microwave or dishwasher like many stupidos here did :))
Not the sturdiest things but suitable for storing things in the kitchen. I actually used these to store ecology samples in preserving solution – I taped round the lid to prevent leaks so can’t comment on the leak-proofness too much. I don’t think they would stand too much rough handling but they were fine for me.
I bought these for storing coffee, sugar, oil etc. for camping. these are not leak proof, I used 2 for oil and 1 for fairy liquid. I tightened them much as possible without breaking them and also cellotape them up for extra security they all leaked inside the pan in the picture. Apart from this, they were great for holding the dry items like the coffee and sugar.
I bought the 250ml size and that’s what I base my review on. These are perfect for storing homemade spice mixes, ie. curry powder mixes for all sorts of curries etc. that like me you might want to prepare in advance to save time. So annoyed with myself that I only ordered one pack, they are absolutely perfect, so much better than the plastic bags and silly little glass jars containing spices etc. from the supermarkets. The other thing they are going to be useful for is my hobby of beading and I’m sure there are lots of other hobbies that would benefit too. Manufacturers claim these jars are unbreakable, well I don’t know about that but they are much tougher than they look and the lids screw on and off very easily without sticking. That said, I would not put in a dishwasher or microwave, IMHO it’s doubtful they’d come out in good condition, they’re made of the wrong type of plastic, but I may well be wrong on that. Yes, I would strongly recommend this product.
A budget friendly solution – you do get what you pay for but these are what I settled on after going back and forth about whether or not to buy glass jars. I chose these as they would be light and easier to move with me, if I should move locally or abroad, or if I decided to leave them behind I would not feel too badly about having spent a lot on glass jars. I had to give away my glass jars when I relocated not so long ago so am not in a hurry to give items away to charity this time around if I had to move again.
The containers do have a smell that goes away after being washed and gently scrubbed with hot water and washing up liquid.
I did line the inside of these jars with baking parchment before filling with healthy grains and nutritional seeds, making sure to use labels from the packets they came in and also labeling the lids.
Job done, a budget friendlier solution than glass.
Ordered these hoping they would be perfect to store bulk bought pulses, icing sugar etc. Delivery was on time, packaging excellent. Only disappointment was about the volume measurement in description. They are certainly not suitable for 750g worth of product. I decanted a 500g pack of icing sugar and it only just fit with quite a lot of tapping to help the sugar settle and a little spare that didn’t fit in the bottle.
I’d say the size of these bottles is just under 500g, quite possibly 450g in reality. We’re t large enough for what I bought them for but still useful to store products within 450g volume.
The bottles themselves are light, nice seal when tops screwed in, no sharp edges on neck of bottle or on lid. I recommend the product but just be weary of the sizes given in the descriptions, I’d say not at all accurate. I can say this with certainty as I also bought the square (tall) supposedly 450g bottles and again they I’d say they are more realistically 280g, I poured in two 140g of garlic salt so that’s how I know the estimate of the volume.
If you’ve got plenty of stuff to store then buying these and making use of the size that arrives will be a ok but I think if the sizes were accurate in the description it can help the customer select the appropriate size instead of making do with the size that it turns out to be. Seller please amend the volume sizes on your products, it’s a shame they’re inaccurate.
I’ve captured many a wild and feral ingredient in these jars, many of which sit in half used bags in my baking cupboard, rare and endangered species such as flour (self-raising AND plain). Sod the snow leopard, the year of the 2020 pandemic was all about preserving baking goods!!
If you did venture out, because you couldn’t stay up until 02:00 in the morning waiting for a delivery slot to appear, you could, on vary rare occasions, see the milled and bagged grain in it’s natural habitat, or “shelf” as it’s more commonly known, but, it was more than likely a mirage, because flour was like rocking horse s**t during lockdown of 2020.
Anyway, for those of you who did manage to source, and needed to smarten up the cupboard then these are a perfect solution, but don’t tell too many people because they’ll all just panic buy for no reason at all and there will be zero stock before you know it, and it will be like toilet roll / pasta / tinned tomatoes / eggs / milk / flour – gate.
Back to the jars, they’re such good value for money, I’ve bought loads, honestly, if it’s not moving, it’s going in one of these jars!!
I’d also recommend investing in some Sharpie pens, I write on the lid the contents, such as sugar, ground almonds, flour (but that jars empty of course and will be until people stop this madness) then you’re never at a loss thinking, “what’s in the jar” (“What’s in the jar!! “What’s in the jar!! Reference to the end scene of the film Seven there, if you replace the work jar with box).
Plastic jars, very useful, although you probably won’t get a waffle in one, they’re still versatile though!!
