FQA:
Q1: Why does the ptz dome camera night vision video have some blurry reflections?
A:Due to the dark protective cover on the outside of the ptz dome camera, which may reflect light at night, it is recommended to install it indoors or outdoors where there is no or weak ambient light.
Q2: Why the ptz wifi camera can’t track people?
A:You need to manually open the Intelligent tracking button on the app to activate the auto tracking function.
Q3: Does the power extension cable affect the function of the wifi dome camera?
A: If your power extension cable is very long, the voltage supplied to the camera will be lower than 12V, which may make the wifi ptz camera unable to work normally. It is recommended to shorten the length of the power extension cable, and you can increase the length of the socket cable.
Q4: Does the wifi dome camera support 5G WiFi?
A:The wifi domecamera supports dual-band WiFi, which means that this wifi domecamera can be connected to 2.4G WiFi or 5G WiFi.
Q5: Does the IP dome camera support ptz on software?
A:Yes, the IP dome camera can pan355 °, tilt 90 °, and 5X digital zoom.

I’ve been through a few cameras of varying price and quality, and the SVC3 range seem to hit that sweet spot between price and quality nicely. The construction of this is hefty with a metal mounting plate (hint: do you do need to use screws that fit in the countersunk holes if the ones supplied are too short), not the lightweight plastic you see on other cameras.
5MP picture is crystal clear, and manages to keep full colour even at night (albeit there is a streetlight outside, which other cameras needed to switch into B&W mode for).
Being ONVIF compliant, this works like a dream with Blue Iris and other similar DVRs; pan/tilt speed is fine, although the zoom is digital only, not optical.
Spotted this new camera supporting both 2.4GHz/5GHz and hidden motion tracking of subjects so you don’t see it physically moving to follow people which is very cool.
Crucially I needed the ability to save to sdcard and FTP simultaneously just incase the camera itself was damaged during a break-in.
I’m really pleased that this camera works in CamHiPro too alongside my other devices rather than a different app.
The installation sticker disc for drilling holes is really useful and I really like the fitting bracket where the camera screws onto the ceiling mount.
Really happy with this camera, the image quality speaks for itself … This was taken in the dark (dusk outside), home office is a mess though!
Better than expected. The camera was a bit tricky to setup via WiFi in Hicam but once connected it to an ethernet cable it added to my list easily. Unfortunately it does not work with Alexa / Google but connects via ONVIF to other apps.
The tracking is decent while moving about at a slower pace. Overall a great dome camera which is better than others in the market currently at this price point
Updated: The camera functions as designed
his is my next sv3c camera, and once again I am very pleased, everything you need for installation is included, solid aluminum housing, really professional quality and looks, video tracking works perfectly, the camera works also with NAS drive thanks to onvif protocol, highly recommended
I bought the SV3C PTZ WiFi Dome Camera to replace an older dome wifi camera that had given up on night vision and had stopped recording to it’s SD card. WOW. This camera is light years ahead of it. The picture quality is amazing, both in night mode and daylight. It is mounted in the eaves on a 2 story house and covers all my driveway in perfect detail. I have put a 128GB micro SD card in it , and to date have nearly 3 weeks of footage, and still shows as 54800mb space remaining.
The ability to move the camera around through the app to get the best coverage is so useful and not what I have been used to, also the fact that it is continually recording sound as well. Many features on it which I probably will never actually use, but good to know they are there! (Like the ability to make a dog bark sound or other warning noise when it detects motion)
I will say that this is actually the 2nd camera I had to set up. The first one that arrived had an issue with fogging on the inside of the lens at night, which ghosted the image from the IR sensors. However after reaching out tot the very helpful team at SV3C, they suggested some remedies which unfortunately didn’t work, but then sent me out a replacement camera at no cost . So can’t fault their service. This is the 4th SV3C camera I have got (the others are a few years old now and I would like to get them upgraded after seeing what this new one is capable of). I also upgraded to the CamHiPro app for this camera, was using the CamHi app before with my others, and this in itself is a major upgrade with way quicker connection speeds.
All in all very happy.
Although the SV3C PTZ wifi Dome camera is meant for indoor use, I am using it in a stable to monitor a horse. The stable is dry and there is no direct sun on the camera to cause reflections, hence the conditions are very similar to using the camera in a house. The camera was very simple to set up, by following the instructions in the quick start guide, with an ethernet cable connected to the router in the house. The UID for the camera appeared in the device list of the CamHiPro app and by simply clicking on the UID, the app connected to the camera. Once the CamHiPro app recognized the camera, it was straightforward to connect it to wifi, again by following the instructions. The ethernet cable was disconnected and the camera installed in the stable and it immediately connected again to wifi (the house wifi covers the stable via a wifi extender).
I am impressed by the quality of the video, the ease of control via the app and in particular the Zoom capability of the camera.
If you’re in the market for a high-quality CCTV camera, the PTZ dome camera is an excellent choice. With its state-of-the-art pan, tilt, and zoom capabilities, this camera provides exceptional coverage of any area you choose to monitor. Whether you need to keep an eye on your home, business, or any other property, this camera is sure to meet your needs.
One of the standout features of the PTZ dome camera is its versatility. It can be mounted on ceilings or walls, and its compact size means it won’t take up much space. The camera also comes equipped with a variety of advanced features, such as night vision, motion detection, and remote viewing capabilities, which allow you to monitor your property from anywhere in the world.
Another impressive feature of this camera is its ease of use. The camera is simple to install, and its user-friendly interface makes it easy to configure and customize. You can set up the camera to record only when motion is detected, and you can even set up alerts to notify you when something happens on your property.
Overall, the PTZ dome camera is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to keep an eye on their property. Its advanced features, ease of use, and versatility make it a top-notch security camera that is sure to provide you with peace of mind. Whether you’re a homeowner or a business owner, this camera is definitely worth considering.
This is a great security camera which was fairly easy to install and for the price I think it’s well worth it. There is an app you need to install to either iOS or Android and once synced it’s fantastic. Night mode is particularly good! Very happy with it.
We have always said we’d buy one of these PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) motion sensor security cameras to cover the back garden. This dome camera seems to cover an even wider area than the standard security camera that we had previously been using, and I’m told, was relatively easy to set up. With the images either directly to my phone/tablet, recorded on to a SD card, or both.
I have viewed, but not recorded the images at night which cover the full length of the garden, and they were also very clear; my cat and a fox were the only night time visitors thankfully. The bright night vision throws a light over a large area, when motion activated; which I also found rather handy for when I emptied the bins, after dark. We have used the WiFi connection, which again gives clear, uninterrupted images from our router at the front of the house.
Quite my accident I found the camera also has a microphone, and speaker; maybe more useful at the front of the house; but if you enjoy the sound of the birds in the morning keep switched on!
The app allows us to zoom in, and adjust other settings, like the volume, all working as expected.
I must say this dome security camera has actually exceeded our expectations; placed on the back wall with the installation screws and plugs provided. It looks and feels like a solid unit, and of course it is completely weather proof; strong winds and heavy rain over the last week have proved that.
A very good security camera we both thought, images better than expected to be honest; would recommend.
When this arrived I was a little hesitant, because it’s very small for a PTZ camera, but I’ve installed it on the front of the house, the picture quality really good, much better than I anticipated, and it’s also got a decent zoom feature, overall I’m very impressed with it, I plan on buying some more. These also work with my NVR, including the PTZ function, which is nice because I’ve had other PTZ in the past where they aren’t able to be controlled by the NVR.
The app is a bit fiddly, I found it is much easier and quicker to get the camera up if you just plug it straight into the router with an ethernet cable, and then set it up with WiFi after you’ve gotten access to the camera though the hard wire.
5/5
There’s been a few break-ins and theft’s in my area in the last few weeks. My neighbors have all been installing cameras so I thought I’d get one too. This it’s great as you can move the camera to follow anybody who doesn’t look like they are up to any good. Installation and setup were pretty straightforward.
Software is a bit clunky, but when you get used to it fine . I like the fact that you can use it online with a pc and not just limited to the phone app. Picture quality is very good and you can store images on a micro SD card (not included) . Looks well made and should last in the elements. Would buy agai
Was expecting a ‘cheap’ plastic camera but was pleasantly suprised to find this has a metal shell. Setup was quick and easy with the bonus of being able to connect to both 2.4 and 5G WiFi. Picture quality is excellent during daylight. It uses the CamHiPRO App available for IOS and Android, this is one of the best apps i have used for this type of camera.
Camera tested and working on Dahua and Hikvision NVRs with added bonus of SD card in the camera just in case someone runs away with the NVR! ‘Auto Tracking’ and ‘Alarm’ function are on this camera. It can also be set to make an alarm sound whislt it detects movement. The defaults are a barking dog or siren but you can also record any sound you want. It will send a push alert to your phone and record the video to the SD card when motion is detected and has 2-way audio. Video is recorded 24/7 to the SD but it marks this detection as an alarm so it’s easily found. It will also ftp and email ‘alarm’ events which is useful.
I always try to find fault with everything i review. The only small issue i have with this camera is the night-time picture quality when used outside. The IR reflects into the lens which lights up cobwebs causing the image to be less than ideal. This isn’t a problem if you keep up with maintanence. As an indoor camera in is spot-on. No IR reflection, easliy mounted on wall or ceiling and picture can be ‘flipped’ to suit.
I decided to go for an upgrade from SV3C with no complaints. Crystal clear picture as shown In recordings. Sensitivity adjustments can be set to your needs and very responsive even on 2.4Ghz, alerts can be sent to your phone/laptop ect. easy to install and a satisfied customer, well done on anther great product.
Good quality camera, exactly what I was looking for. Image and video quality is excellent very clear and sharp. Connects to the internet with no issues and very easy to setup, will post some videos later on. Camera phone App is great and easy to use, would definitely recommend to try this camera if you looking for something similar.
I bought this camera to replace a faulty device which monitors the rear of my property. Although the manufacturer’s advice is to mount the camera internally, I have been using it connected to the underside of my garden shed roof as seen in the photograph. The camera is IP66 rated and as such should withstand the elements, and so far I haven’t experienced any issues other than the need to occasionally wipe the dome to keep it clean and free of moisture.
SETUP: I followed the brief, but clear instructions to connect the camera directly to an RJ45 network cable in order to initially configure the camera. Once done, I was able to remove the physical network cable and the camera connected to my WiFi Access Point. I use a number of different SSIDs on my property, and I was able to select the most appropriate via the Mobile App. I initially left the majority of the settings to their default values and just switched on the Intelligent Tracking feature and the ability to send email messages when the camera receives a motion detection alert.
FIXING: After briefly testing a few locations for the camera, I mounted it on the corning of my shed roof overhang, allowing it to point towards the rear of my property. Attaching the camera was a simple task as it is supplied with a metal mounting plate which first screws into position. It is then just a matter of attaching the camera to this plate and feeding the power cable as necessary.
To my surprise the WiFi connection was extremely stable even though it was connecting approx. 20 metres back to my house where the WiFi Access Point is located. A point worth mentioning is that this camera works on both 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz frequencies. This is very unusual for these cameras, as most only connect to 2.4Ghz. A further feature, not mentioned in the advertising literature is that this camera will also operate using a direct RJ45 network connection. I managed to successfully test this as I have a cabled network connection to my garden shed.
CONNECTIVITY: This camera can be controlled and viewed via many different methods: the recommended free Mobile App called CamHipro, many other Mobile Apps, most Web Browsers and also via various NVR systems as the device is ONVIF compliant. When accessing the camera via the HTTP port it provided advanced configuration options via the built-in interface and also allows you to view the live camera feed.
Features / Quality: The quality of the image, both live and recorded is amazing. Although the camera does not have optical zoom it is possible to use the digital zoom feature to zoom into the images without any noticeable degradation in quality. This was possible using CamHipro and via my Synology Surveillance Station NVR.
I was extremely impressed with the Intra Red Night Vision. The camera was able to light up my entire garden and rear of my property. See the attached screen shot.
The Intelligent Tracking feature works well using it’s Pan / Tilt and tracks with pinpoint accuracy. I have attached a short video capture showing the camera tracking me from my rear door and following me around the garden. It even manages to detect birds in my garden when the sensitivity setting is at 70% – screen shot attached. By experimenting with the sensitivity control you are able to fine tune the level of motion trigger required.
The camera has 2-way audio and although I don’t have any use for this, I noticed the microphone is very sensitive and manages to capture the “dawn chorus” from the birds in my garden very clearly.
SUMMARY: The camera is easy to install and configure and works with 2.4ghz & 5ghz WiFi and RJ45 network cabled connections making it the most flexible camera I know of. With a video resolution of 2560 x 1920 and a frame rate up to 25fps the clips and still images provide more than sufficient detail to zoom in, without losing any discernible quality. The Intelligent Tracking feature works well and makes good use of the Pan & Tilt capability. This would help to follow an intruder thereby capturing greater video footage which could later be zoomed into for better identification. Even just set at 15fps the camera was able to capture a bird in flight. (screen shot attached) This shows the quality of the lens, and proof of the overall quality of the camera.
I would not hesitate to recommend this camera based on the feature set, quality and cost.
Good quality camera, feels heavy and well packaged.
I like that it’s a PTZ without it being really big and obvious. The lens is tinted so people can’t see where the camera is pointing, so it will deter would be thieves and bad actors.
The picture quality is very good, but it’s not the best I’ve seen, but for the price, and with 20 off, I was surprised at just hot good the picture quality is and how well it functions.
It works with my hikvision 7200 DVR/NVR, Very straightforward to add the camera to DVR, and the PTZ Function works on the DVR as well. Which is good.
Tips
Use Hicam PRO app, not the basic one.
WiFi password default is 01234567. It took me a while to find that!
Overall very impressed, especially for the price.
I have other SV3C cameras in use at the moment, and they’re the better ones I ha e out of the others I’ve bought on Amazon. .
I admit to be sceptical, but I really shouldn’t have been. This is a very good camera system, it is easy to set up and use. The images are really clear. The camera is robust and well made. For this review I have placed it on it’s side to get this picture before placing it where I want it. I can fully recommend this camera
