Good quality reasonable price and easy to fit overall a good job done!
If your looking to plug a soundbar into you tv via optical cable you can’t go wrong with this cable its perfect for the job with good clear sound for those high’s & low’s in movies daily tv or even for listening to your fav piece of music
Just plugged it in and sound bar and tv were in sync
I purchased this to connect my sound bar to my TV and it worked, yay!
To be fair, it greatly improved the sound quality that was being provided by the cheaper digital optical lead that had been included with the sound bar.
Not sure what to expect having never used a optical cable before.
Decided on this brand as have used some of their mobile phone cables and been pleased with their quality.
Cable proved to be a very tight fit. No issue about dropping out which seems to be a issue with optical cables.
Only issue I purchased 1 metre length. Why is this more expensive than the 1.8 metre length. Go figure…….
If it didn’t perform well I was going to bid buy another reference level one but it’s an optical cable so I couldn’t see any reason for spending the extra money.
There is only one type of optical audio cable, TOSlink. It may be referred to as TOSlink, Toshiba-link or just “Digital Optical Cable”, but it’s the only audio cable that is optical.
Having interchanged the cables across two of the systems they perform the same.
There are a few one-star reviews saying this cable doesn’t fit their TOSLINK input or output. However, the orientation of the flat side is sometimes in a different position so if you look carefully it will fit.
Actually, there’s not much you can say about a cable, but am really happy with this one. I bought it to connect my Fire TV to my soundbar/ subwoofer and so far the results are excellent. Recommended for the price!
But that aside, it’s a cheapish cable that works fine… Even with the stupid unnecessary gold plating that does literally nothing.
Not sure how this compares to the one supplied with the product as, in all truth, maybe had it not been recommended as an add on we wouldn’t have bought it. Also we now have a surplus cable which is going to add to the pile of unused tech gear sitting on the shelf, not really helping to save the planet!
I bought this to connect my Denon network player to my Amplifier. I had seen some reviews saying connection falls out so I wanted to write a review. Cable is great quality & value. For me fit was easy and the cable clicked into the optical socket. I got it right way to go in then for last 1-2mm gave it a hard push and it clicked into the socket. It is then held well in socket.
This has been used for connecting TV to sound base, it is replacing a QED cable that had hardened and was not secure in connection.
This from the get go could be seen that it is built to a higher standard and when fitted to the connections it is a good snug fit, there is no rattling around the fitting. The cable feels substantial and yet flexible, sound is crisp and clear no sounds of any interference.
Overall a quality piece of kit.
I needed this for my soundbar because the soundbar that I ordered didn’t even come with an optical cable, typical! Anyway, so I plugged it in and wow, the sound quality is amazing, I knew I could trust Syncwire but never knew that the performance and the sound would be this good. It is better than any other optical cable I have had and it is also inexpensive with at least 1 years warranty! Just incredible.
It plugs in cleanly with its metal instead of plastic plugs and comes with captive endcaps so the ends should always be protected when the cable is not in use.
It works just fine at transmitting the audio signal to my amp and I would be happy to recommend this cable to other people who are sick and tired of the flimsy ones.
