Wonderful, the bowl is just the right size and looks very good in the kitchen.
Good product easy to use great price for a scale of good quality
I required this scale for measuring out puppy food. It had to be accurate and it was. No problems with it whatsoever.
a decent set of scales. The metal bowl is of a high quality and is very easily cleaned.
The major issue we have found with this set of scales is that if you add/remove weight quickly to it, it can sometimes take a while to catch up, which can be frustrating if trying to get precise measurements for baking etc…
Great value for money, given the quality of the components.
I’m pleased with these, and have had a good experience of them so far.
Batties not included, but at least they are AAAs and not the round button batteries. My other two digital scales are the round batteries and they are a nightmare! Whoever has that type lying around??
Anyway.
They were easy to use and clean. Changing the unit is easy but kind of hard to see as it’s quite small. The numbers are big, but the unit small.
I have made cakes with these scales and find them to be accurate and not had any issue with anything I’ve made.
These work really well as worktop scales, being small enough to leave out on the counter-top without taking up too much room. Easily cleanable and accurate, I’d recommend them unless you measure a lot of large quantities.
Needs two AAA batteries which are not included.
Described as having 8 cup capacity. It easily holds one litre of water, 1.5 litres at a push. This is a bigger capacity than the traditional home scales I have been using for the past twenty years.
Stainless steel bowl which can go in the dishwasher. The base is easily wiped down.
Once I had set the measure to grams, it helpfully stayed there as I weighed various ingredients.
The issue on which reviewer opinion is divided is the slight time lag in registering weight as you pour in ingredients. I adapted to it in a few seconds – you have to hold back as you near the right amount, wait for the weight to accurately register, and then do a small top-up to the right amount. I was able to hit my target to within a couple of grams with that approach and did not pour out too much of anything.
The scales require 2 x AAA batteries that are not included! For this price and in this day and age I would expect the batteries to be included!
The scales are accurate and easy to use. You can easily switch between lbs and ozs and metric weights, which is good as some of my recipes are in imperial and some in metric and I don’t want to have to convert them myself as that would more easily lead to mistakes. They are easy to set to zero so that you can add your next ingredient without the need for another bowl and more washing up. You can also easily use a different bowl if you need a bigger one for what you are making. The digital display of the weight was a good size and easy to see but I did need my reading glasses in order to see which mode it was in, not always immediately apparent when you have ounces and fluid ounces and litres and grams. The stainless steel looks functional and professional, they are a neat small size and fit easily into the cupboard for storage with the lid upside down on top of the scale.
