I did not understand the characteristics when ordering this cable and therefore had to make a return. Since I need a cable with a USB 3.0 ~ 3.2 interface, and this one turned out to be 2.0 current, it doesn’t suit me, but about the product itself, it looks very good and strong, it’s a little harder and more elastic than ordinary cables, I would last a long time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Unfortunately I had to return this beautiful cable as it is not USB 3.0!

It’s a cable – you plug it and the picture appears on the monitor. What more to say – it works. I don’t expect it to stop working as (unlike phone charging cables) it will hardly ever be moved or bent. But if it does fail at some point I’ll report!

I was struggling with setting up HDMI to my new monitor, and this sealed the deal. I can finally get 144 Hz as DP supports it and the cable is very well connected, so I don’t have to worry about it being wobly. Gets the job done, and it works great.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersFirst display port cable I’ve needed so my review can only be compared to HDMI cables and DVI cables of similar price etc. Anyway that being said this cable for the price is great, arrived nicely packaged with a little note from the seller inside, the quality of the cable seems very good for the price with nice thick wire and the plugs kind of lock into place when connected to my graphics card and monitor which is better than my hdmi leads. Now it took a couple of reboots of the system for this cable to even work and output my monitor and since then I’ve had 2 black screens after first boot these last for a second if that and since then nothing there has not been any further black screen issues etc. I have read this is common with DP cables from all manufacturers and it can be as simple as the cable not being inserted correctly/fully.

I use this cable to output 3440x1440p at 60hz to my ultrawide and I have to say picture quality is fantastic no distortion etc and I have a WiFi router and cordless phone right next to this cable to and no interference at all it’s very well shielded. I would highly recommend this product for its price, and the seller i received it from seems top tier with customer service being top priority.

I bought this Displayport cable to test out the cheaper end of the market and see whether there was a noticeable difference against more expensive cables. These cables are currently running perfectly when powering a 240hz monitor at 1080p.

The overall build quality of the cable seems very solid. The main thing I look for when buying Displayport cables is the quality of the connectors. These cables are no exception. The connector seems very durable, although the pushing mechanism to release the cable latches does require some force to release the cable.

If you are planning to run 240hz at 1080p or 140hz at 1440p this cable will work perfectly. Unfortunately, I cannot speak for 4k as I have don’t have access to a 4k monitor.

Pretty good cable that supports apparently upto 4k resolutions. I used this cable for a 75hz monitor so that it could actually handle the 75hz and 1920×1080 resolution. Worked fine unfortunately i had faulty monitor ;( doesnt feel cheap at all. Has little clips that hold the connectors into the sockets be aware of this. You won’t be pulling these out at all.

Golden Review Award: 47 From Our UsersThis may help people decide on this cable for 240Hz monitors.

    DP 1.0 – 1.1a supports up to 144 Hz @ 1080p, up to 75 Hz @ 1440p
    DP 1.2 – 1.2a supports up to 240 Hz @ 1080p, up to 165 Hz @ 1440p, up to 75 Hz at 2160p
    DP 1.3 supports up to 240 Hz @ 1080p and 1440p, up to 120 Hz at 2160p
DP 1.4 has the same limits w/o compression but with signal compression (DSC) can do 240 Hz at 2160p

Please bear in mind this cable supports 240HZ at 1080p this is confirmed working

The Resolution K Range still applies as above from other users.

I am not sure if this is related but i found a fault either my cable version 1.2 or GTX1070

It appears running 240HZ on my main alone works fine but if i plug my DVI-D to my alternative monitor i get tearing on my main @145hz.

The solution was to plug HDMI to 60Hz to my 2nd monitor (which i do not mind as i don`t game off this now) now everything is perfect.

Thanks for this product however if any have some ideas on the above would be appreciated thanks.

The cable has a male plug at each end that fitted perfectly into the female sockets of my PC and my TV allowing seamless broadcasting of content from one to the other. The black of the cable’s plastic coating contrasted perfectly with the white of my room surroundings creating a fusion of divergence. The picture quality was practically lossless, enhanced by the gold connectors at each end of the cable. If I was to purchase another PC and TV, this would be my connector cable of choice.

As described. Be warned however if you use Nvidia card, this wont stop your occasional blackscreens from timeouts. I have tried several cables, short/long/thick/cheap/expensive all rated for 4k 60hz etc and nothing does. I firmly believe the problem lies within drivers from Nvidia. This cable is well made and works, is thinner than some of the more expensive ones I’ve tried.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersIt’s hard to say a great deal about something that is purely utilitarian, other than it works.

This is certainly a very cheap cable and when I plugged it into my second monitor and the back of my computer, the display sprang to life immediately.

Since it does exactly what I want, without fuss and with what appears to be a quality cable, I’m more than happy. I’m not likely to be moving my monitor around, or plugging and unplugging the cable so I’m reasonably sure it will last a long time.

I’d be more than happy to get this again (or recommend it to friends and family) if I needed another one.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersA few months ago, I’ve bought a pretty decent gaming monitor – Acer XB241H (144hz g-sync). There was a lot to like about my purchase, however, later on I have found out that this monitor would give me all sorts of problems.

First, every other time it would not come out of the sleep mode, forcing me to hard reset. Second, while g-sync was on, starting a game or going to full-screen and back (even videos or youtube), would make monitor to lag or hang for couple of seconds, making me to have g-sync off most of the time. And lastly, the brightness was somewhat off, even during the BIOS post I would notice that if the monitor was connected through an HDMI cable the white letters on black background would be much more brighter than when it was connected through DP cable. Same goes for Win10 and games, the black was not black and white was not white. Using a 970 gtx (DP 1.2) and knowing that DP is not HDMI and should not usually have such problems, still countless times I have checked the dynamic range in the NV panel, making sure it was set to Full (0-255) (btw Limited would make the image an awful grayish mess), tried bunch of different drivers and even reinstalled my OS. I don’t know what was going on (short circuit? not enough bandwidth? cable is DP 1.1?), but nothing seemed to help.

However, little I knew that all the problems I have experienced with the monitor were because of the DP cable Acer included in the box. This cheap, thick (twice as thick as TechRise) piece of garbage, was the reason for all of the above. It wouldn’t even come to my mind that this, rather an expensive monitor, would be provided with such a cheap cable.

Finally, since I didn’t have any spare one, I have decided to buy one and try it out. TechRise was having the best reviews, so I went and bought it. And what a difference it made! All the problems just gone! Win10 Sleep works fine, g-sync lag/stutters are gone, and the colors, brightness and vibrancy…oh well, feels like I just swapped my TN for an IPS panel.

So guys, if you have a 144hz gaming monitor, or any of the above problems, do yourself a favor, buy a new, decent DP cable, like this TechRise.

After receiving my DP to DP Cable, I immediately put it to the test. The cable looks nice, has a nice finish, and feels strong (in means that it would not break easily). The cable does the job, I am using it on my LG ultrawide monitor, and I do not have any problems with 2560×1080 resolution at 60fps. I know that this cable can do up to 4K @ 60fps, or 1080p with higher FPS (144, but I have not tested so do not take this as a fact!). The price is amazing, and overall I would recommend this cable! I hope this review was helpful!

Running 3440 wide-screen free sync at 75Hz I get constant black screens every time the refresh rate changes. Unacceptable. If I could be bothered to return to get my fiver back I would do. Not sure where all these positive reviews are coming from, maybe my one is just duff.

Update: The seller got in contact to offer a refund or replacement. I accepted a replacement and the new cable is flawless. Happy to change the review to reflect the new cable, and place on record my appreciation for the effort the seller went to to resolve the issue.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersA nice looking cable with sturdy connectors and quality feel for its price. Since installing it I haven’t noticed its there which for a part on a computer is exactly what you want.

I use it to connect up my RX470 to my Freesync Monitor and it works a treat never skipping a beat. One thing to note is that the plugs have two pins which latch into the port when you attach it. To detach you have to push a small button down to release these pins before removing the cable. If like me your’e used to HDMI cables which just go in and out you might think it was stuck.

    Overall very impressed.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this having recently moved to a 4k monitor to replace the HDMI cable I was using.

The cable arrived in perfect condition within a sealed zip-lock bag, coiled and tied with cable ties, making for an easy removal. I chose the 2 meter version which was perfect for it’s application. The cable worked immediately, although I had to restart my computer for my graphics card to send a video signal. The cable has push in locking clips at either end of the cable which stops accidental removal.

In hindsight, I should’ve better measured the length between the two connections before purchasing the cable. I should’ve gone for the 3 meter version for a slacker connection between the computer and monitor, but I just moved the computer a little closer.

I’m overall pleased with this cable and if I were to buy another monitor that has a DP connector, I would purchase another of these cables. As with all cables, I do recommend going larger than you need to allow for slack, don’t make the same mistake as me. Pay for the extra length, I wish I had.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI recently purchased a 32″ 4K G-Sync monitor and I’m not sure if it was the supplied cable that was the issue but when I went to load a game the monitor lost the signal and kept turning on and off. I tried the DP cable from my previous 27″ 1440P monitor and it worked fine.

Just in case I sell the previous monitor I decided to get a replacement cable and although there are cables available on Amazon with more reviews they also had 1 and 2 star reviews which this cable doesn’t so I took a chance to give it a try.

Delivery was fullfilled by Amazon so, with my Prime, was next day. It was well packaged and the packaging supplied with the cable itseslf has a friendly card offering support if needed and inviting any feedback to help improve their product if need.

So far so good. The cable looks and feels good quality and my monitor is working fine so I am able to load up games in 4K 60Hz perfectly again.

    Very happy indeed.
