The eldest player has the night marker in front of them. The eldest player turns the start card over onto the green side, reads it and the game begins. The events of the game always alternate in phases between day and night. The game begins on day 1. Each day, your heroes take turns performing actions. Each action costs you time in the form of sun discs. When your hero runs out of sun discs, they go to sleep. Once all of the heroes are asleep, day ends and night falls, at which point, creatures move. Once all of the creatures have moved, each player gets their sun discs back and a new day begins.

You can move your hero in any direction you like across the game board if it is your turn. You must always move them step-by-step from one space, over a white line, and into an adjacent space. You are therefore allowed to move from one space to any other adjacent space. However, you cannot set foot in the river. You can only cross it using the bridge.

Most actions are voluntary. The only mandatory action is revealing a fog token. Decide whether you want to carry out one or more of the actions on your target space. Actions do not cost you any sun discs. On the day of a hero, you will encounter some challenges – fighting off Gors or starting a battle. Always be prepared!

The game finishes as soon as you have found all 3 wolf cubs in the dwarven mine or the dragon has reached Rietburg. In both cases, turn the end card onto the green side and read what happens.

Nice and simple co operative adventure game that offers varying stories to play through.

Bought this to play with an 8 year old, while he probably couldn’t manage by himself with someone older to help run the enemy phase it is great.

The game offers alot of variability in terms of mixing up the missions you need to complete. The basic set up works great for younger players to learn the game and get used to it and the added options will allow the game to grow with the younger players as they get better at it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSimple and easy to understand. Perfect for my 5 and 7 year old to play with me. There are 10 challenges to do and we have actually played and won doing all 10 in a single game. The thing is, this is a wonderful building block set for you. I use the minis and the board to work as introducing them to D&D! On e you complete everything the game has to offer, there is so much left if you have a bit of imagination!!!

Easy to learn. Different levels of play allow younger kids to acclimate and learn. Great team-based play.
It’s the first game we’ve had that gets unanimously voted to play in the family

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this game for family of four. Youngest is 7 year old, oldest 9 year old (both girls). Had a blast New Years Eve. Game did take a little bit to learn and set up, but once we got the hang of it we kept wanting to play. Very fun cooperative game, especially if you have some competitive gamers in the family. Game was complex and random enough for adults to enjoy, but simple enough for kids too learn and have fun. Enjoyed the different quests ability each game as well which adds new dimension to each game you play. New favorite game in the family! Would highly recommend for board game families.

The first playthrough made this feel worth the money already. There are several game dynamics that keep it interesting for adults, but they are all simple enough for a 5 year old to understand (with help). The four unique heroes add variability to each playthrough. We’re looking forward to playing this many times.

Excellent game to introduce the little ones to adventure board games. My 6 year old picked up the rules very easily. You play through the game once and you’ll have it down. Great quality piece and art also. Highly recommend this game. A lot of replay ability as there are 10 different quests that can be completed and you can later use your imagination and make up quests, remove 1 attack dice, etc to make the game more challenging if it becomes too easy.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWe’ve played 3 times and the kids love it. The first time playing took some work to get everything set up and I was worried I’d lose them during that process but they made it. The first couple of games we were working out gameplay and are now mostly focused on trying to find the cubs. Anyone under 8-9 years old might struggle a little more with playing this game. Each time we have played we’ve only been able to play a single game but they want to play more. So this game is a win for our family.

We have a 5 year old and she really enjoys it. Fun for the grown ups to play too.

Brilliant game. Very well done and with many different quests from very easy to little more complicated. I’m playing with my almost 5yo no problem. He love to walk around the kingdom following the tasks and fighting with monsters. And obviously he has to dice for dragon.
I really recommend this game for every family looking for some more sophisticated board game experience.

Really enjoyed the first few games I’ve played. My 6 yr old and 8 yr old love it. I like it because it’s not an easy win. If everyone works together on a sensible strategy you’ll win, but 8 and 6 yr olds can’t always do both of those things, so it’s a good challenge.

I particularly like that the game changes each time you play it. The ‘fog of war’ aspect is clever and makes the game dynamic, and there are a few sets of goals you can switch between. All in all, I strongly recommend for any budding gamers and/or lovers of fantasy

This was easily the star of Christmas. Amazing game that my 5 year old can join in and enjoy same as the others. So far we have played it about 5 times and I could easily see the replay value is high.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis game is quite nice for kids. My daighter really enjoys it. The rulebook is not too long, but you should surely read it in advance before sitting down to play with kids. Setup takes a bit of time (and also cleanup).
The replayability is not too high. After going through all the missons, you could try to mix them, and increase the difficulty level, or try to use different characters, since each character has a slightly different ability.

I’ve played Legends of Andor and this spinoff exceeds expectations. Each game session was fun and lasted under an hour. For beginners I would recommend reading the rules more than once as some important rules are easily missed.

My four year old grandson loves this game! He picked up the instructions quicker than me and delights in the story variations, throughout. I can envisage many weeks/months of him seeking to maximise his enjoyment of all that Andor has to offer. Beautifully designed and manufactured from quality materials, I’d recommend to parents/grandparents of creative gameplay enthusiasts 4/5 and up.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI picked this up just because of the heroic theme and co-op nature, as my kids are co-op fans (aka sore losers if we play competitive games). The game is well-produced with sturdy standee and board and tokens…and I like it have both male and female standees for the same character so you can pick the one you like. About the gameplay it’s fun but i must say it would take some time to learn the rules because of all those little details…but it’s the detail which makes the whole thing feel thematic (like the first campaign you need to carry an injured bird back to base camp for doctor).
Just one thing that i would like to complain: could we have smaller game box? (at least it’s not a square one, but a Splendor-sized box can already hold all stuffs very well)
Anyway, i am happy with the purchase!
