Get the book and the decoder disk ready on the table. Leave any ‘strange items’ in the box until you’ve explicitly been told that you found them. Sort the cards in ascending order in 4 stacks – Riddle cards, answer cards, help cards and odd cards, but don’t look at the front sides yet. The goal is to solve the puzzles and escape together as quickly as you can!

Every lock is secured with a riddle with a 3 digit code of numbers, colours or symbols. Can you crack the code? Every lock corresponds to a puzzle and each puzzle is marked with a symbol. Take the first riddle card and let the games begin! Pay attention to every detail.

Enter each code solved into the decoder disk. Then, look through the viewing window on the smallest wheel to see a number. This number indicates the number of the answer card that you are allowed to look at. If the code is correct the answer card will tell you how to proceed.

The game ends when you have solved the last riddle and escaped the Haunted Roller Coaster. Use the Exit Game Certificate to see how well you did! When calculating the number of Help Cards used, only the ones that gave you new hints or solutions should be counted.

We’ve done about 7 of these now. This was a great one! It was a fun level for a 13, 11 and 2 9 yr olds with a little adult guidance. A nice variety of riddles

We loved this game. Made for a great date night (with minimal arguments).
Shame it’s one use. Would be great if you could reprint resources to use it all again.

We’ve done a handful of these exit the game escape rooms now, and this one was up there for us. The puzzles are challenging but not to the point of frustration, and the theme was different and fun.

Really great fun and didnt need clue cards which is a sign that its designed well. I think you would struggle with 4 people mind as quite small and one challenge at a time , great for 2 people.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe started playing the Exit games when I bought 3 for our family Christmas. We had done 2 novice games before Roller Coaster but this was our favourite and is the one I will be buying people when I need a great gift – it’s a great introduction to these games. It’s got lots of activities that contribute to answering the riddles and it has some really cute features so would engage younger kids but it’s not so simple that adults would get bored (we are 2 adults and an A level student and we thought this game was delightful). I rarely write reviews but Exit escape games are just so brilliantly made and such fun to play that I had to leave a review

I played the Haunted Roller Coaster with a few people who hadn’t played an EXIT game before and we all figured out how to play it very quickly. Great fun! This one took us about 90 minutes. Highly recommended

Really enjoyed playing this over a zoom call with my sister through lockdown. We both bought the game so we could each see and read the clues etc, it was a bit hard in places but between four of us (husbands too), we found strengths in different areas. Really good fun and great for a couple of hours worth of fun.

We played this with 4 – 2 adults and 2 teenagers. It was intruiging and taxing, occupying us for a good 90 minutes.
The help was there when we needed it In the clue cards, even though we shouldn’t have needed it.
We have another to play so very much looking forward to it.
    Well made and enjoyable game.

This was the first of the EXIT games I have tried and we enjoyed it very much. Theres a little bit of thinking involved (this is one of the easier ones I believe) and its great fun working together and piecing clues to solve the puzzle. We also found the cutting, tearing and destroying of cards and items quite satisfying in our pursuit of solving the game. I dont see how you could get more than 2hrs out of this one (haunted roller coaster), more likely 60-90mins which makes it relatively expensive since you can – and should – only play it once.

Good game for a couple which can be hard to find. Enjoyable game – challenging but manageable. We will try another one in this series of games. Managed to play the game without cutting the pieces using tracing paper so we can pass on to a friend.

This was amazing! We did it as family myself and husband and 3 kids, aged 14, 12 and 8. The oldest 2 were able to put lots of ideas in to solve the clues and although the 8 year didn’t have much input she loved being part of it. It took us just over an hour and will be looking for the next one.

Once you know how it works you keep on playing.
But you can only use it once.
