Played this as a family of four and it’s fun for all ages. Definitely better with 4 players but can be played by just 2 people.
The rules are simple which makes the game easy to pick up and play. Players move around the board at a good pace It’s a fun role play. It’s good fun and not too complicated – ideal for a family game on a rainy day.
Characters are made from good quality and board is also good quality. good value and would recommend. Be a great gift!
I like this game. It is beautifully well made. I love the playing pieces, although there are only 4 so it is limited to a four person game. The dragone throne is also very well made and looks great when put together.
The rules are well explained and fairly easy to understand and to get to grips with. It is a good family game over all. You probably need an adult with younger players, especially on the first couple of run throughs.
The only reason I dropped a star was because when I ordered it was priced at 29.99, which I though was a fair price but now it is priced at 49.99 which I think is a tad overpriced. So watch the price when you buy.
Played this a few times as a family and it’s fun for all ages. Definitely better with 4 players but can be played by just 2 people. The rules are simple which makes the game relatively easy to pick up and play. Players move around the board at a good pace but we have had games last for a good 2 and a half hours or more before as even near the end there can be twists and turns. It’s a fun little fantasy role playing game where the aim is to be the first player to reach the throne. You roll the dice to determine how many moves you make, pick up cards to help you along your journey (or sometimes hinder you) and greeted with different scenarios depending on what space on the board you land on. It’s good fun and not too complicated – ideal for a family game on a rainy day.
It is a simple board game with the vibe of snake and ladders on it, but also includes some additional rules related to cards owned by players. It takes a bit of time to understand and definitely needs one adult to assist at the start of the game to get some experience. Overall, a decent game for family on a lazy holiday.
The price is 29.99 at the time of writing, which I would say is a tad pricey.
I ordered the game for an 8-year-old child for his birthday gift. The game is easy to learn and play. The artwork and characters are well-designed to keep the kids engaged. However, it appears the game is overpriced. At the time of review, it is selling at 49.99, which I think is overpriced. If I ignore the price factor, as it was on sale some time ago, the game is a good family weekend fun.
Super fun dungeons and dragons inspired board game.
Nice big box, good quality components too.
Easy to learn, me and my 9yo played a few games over an afternoon so it definitely has that “just one more go” factor a good game needs.
I recently had the chance to play “The Hunt For The Dragon Throne” board game with my family and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. As a family-friendly game designed for kids aged 8 and above, it was the perfect fit for our family game night.
The game is designed for 2 to 4 players, making it ideal for small gatherings with family or close friends. The playing time of 45-60 minutes was just right – not too short that it felt rushed, and not too long that it became tedious.
What I loved about this game was its interactive gameplay. It requires players to use strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, all while having fun. The game was easy to learn, and even though we were all new to it, we quickly became engrossed in the gameplay.
The components of the game are of high quality, with a beautifully illustrated game board and detailed player pieces. The game’s theme of finding the Dragon Throne was a hit with my kids, who loved the adventure and excitement of the gameplay.
Overall, “The Hunt For The Dragon Throne” board game is an excellent addition to any family’s collection. It’s a fun and engaging game that is sure to bring joy and laughter to any game night or gathering.
With any boardgame, there’s instructions, but once you get the hang of it, it’s amazing.
It’s for 8years up, but at least for the first run through, 1-2 adults would be best. You take control of one of the 4 characters, working your way around the board in search of the dragon throne.
I was really impressed and had a lot of fun. Great for an introduction into the RPG world
I recently had the opportunity to play “The Hunt For The Dragon Throne” board game by Fusion5, and I must say it was an absolute blast! This game is specifically designed for kids aged 8 and above, making it perfect for family game nights and gatherings with friends.
One of the things that immediately stood out to me about this game is its captivating theme. Who doesn’t love a good adventure featuring dragons and thrilling quests? The game transports players to a fantasy world where they embark on an exciting journey to claim the coveted Dragon Throne. The immersive storyline and beautifully illustrated game board truly bring the game to life and ignite the players’ imagination.
The gameplay itself is both fun and interactive, keeping everyone engaged from start to finish. The mechanics are easy to understand, making it accessible to players of different ages and skill levels. Each player takes on the role of a brave hero, and the objective is to collect various artifacts and overcome challenges to earn the right to sit on the Dragon Throne.
I particularly enjoyed the strategic elements of the game. There are multiple paths to victory, and players must carefully plan their moves, anticipate their opponents’ actions, and make wise decisions to outwit their rivals. This adds a layer of depth and excitement to the gameplay, ensuring that each session is different and unpredictable.
The game components are of excellent quality, with sturdy game pieces, cards, and a well-designed game board. The attention to detail is impressive, and the artwork is visually stunning. The game also includes clear and concise instructions, making it easy to set up and get started in no time.
With a playing time of approximately 45 to 60 minutes, “The Hunt For The Dragon Throne” strikes a perfect balance between a quick game that keeps things moving and a satisfying gameplay experience. It never feels too short or overly long, making it ideal for both casual gaming sessions and dedicated game nights.
Overall, I highly recommend “The Hunt For The Dragon Throne” board game by Fusion5 to families and friends looking for a fun and engaging gaming experience. It offers an immersive theme, interactive gameplay, and strategic decision-making, all packaged in a high-quality game with stunning artwork. Whether you’re a seasoned board game enthusiast or new to the world of tabletop gaming, this game is sure to provide hours of entertainment and create lasting memories.
Currently 29.99, which is, I feel, the top price before it is too expensive for what one gets.
Not difficult to understand the rules and an adult can help younger kids at first. Because of extra dimensions of game play (unlike a boardgame such as Snakes and Ladders or Ludo) it will entertain and kids want to try out the different characters -so no one is allowed to monopolise one character.
Play can last up to an hour, so not too much to do. No batteries. No computer screens. Shared experience for family and friends.
This is a pretty simple game – a bit like Snakes and Ladders but feels more interesting because of the fantasy element (dragons etc!)
The board is good quality and robust and the playing pieces are well-made.
You can play a game in under an hour, it’s quite enjoyable and doesn’t require much brain power. A nice little family board game – especially for dragon lovers!
Quite pricey though – 39.99 RRP but currently listed at 25% off ie 29.99
The game is well presented and well made, with decent quality figurines. I shall not go into detail of how the game is played – please refer to the listing for that – but we found it such a simple game that our seven year old mastered it in no time. Furthermore the figurines were then pressed into service in games of his own making along with Lego and Playmobil figures and sets. I always consider it money well spent when a game’s component parts can be played with in ways the manufacturer did not foresee. It adds an extra dimension to the purchase. Very good.
We bought this game for my godson as he is dragon obsessed! The board game has well made character pieces to share out and a good selection of playing cards. You can play easily with 2-4 players but could also pair up for more. The game is similar to snakes and ladders but with a few twists and turns! All together it took us about an hour to play but you could shorten it down if preferred and the fewer players, the quicker you will get through it. Because it is quick paced, nobody was bored and everyone was so engaged. Definitely recommend for ages 8-12!
This is not very complicated game. But really good for young kids. The board is good and strong, the little figures are great quality, nicely painted. Good first board game for children.
I ordered this for my 2 children and I to play on a Sunday afternoon, when you want something a bit fun that doesn’t require loads of brain power, patience or time. This ticked all the boxes in that area, as well as being really fun.
For up to 4 players and takes around an hour to play. What I do like is that you can play this again and again- it’s not one of those games that once you’ve played it and ‘worked it out’ that it’s not interesting anymore.
Board, cards, figures ect are all nicely made and appear good quality. Doesn’t take long to work the game out (I won’t go into details about how to play it as that can be found in the description), but I would advise for younger children to pair off with a teenager or adult to help them.
Really good size and would make a great birthday or Christmas gift.
I do think the 40 (and previously 40+ price tag) is slightly out of what most people would pay for a game of a brand that I don’t imagine many have heard of before. Think it definitely needs to either come down in price or be on offer.
Price aside, we’ve enjoyed playing this and would be happy to recommend.
A very good, interesting and fun game to play.
Ideal for an evening of fun or when it’s raining outside.
It’s all very detailed and well-made.
Slightly overpriced though at 39.99.
A very enjoyale board game with well made character pieces and hours of playability as each game will differ due to using different characters and cards. It’s actually a bit like Snakes and Ladders for the Dungeons and Dragons age. The game board is easily set up and it’s for 2-4 players. After choosing your character (each have different powers), roll the dice and then move to the square that decides your fate. The first 22 squares are safe in the Castle groudns and you can build your weaponry for what lies ahead. You draw cards, spin the wheel or follow instructions according to where you land with your throw of the dice. The ultimate aim is to reach the Dragons Throne and claim it for yourself. However, have you chosen the right character or weapons for the journey ahead. Only time will tell as you battle your competitors and the board to win. The game lasts around an hour each time but no 2 games are the same and this adds to the excitement.
A very playable game for ages 8 and above, it becomes addictive and you want to try different scenarios.
I gave this to my 8 year old twin grandsons to try out and this is what they thought… ‘It is a cool game and we like the figures and cards. It didn’t take too long for us to work out how to play it but we did need a bit of help with Daddy sometimes. We really really like it’. So they were impressed. My son, however, was not so impressed. He said it is a good game with good quality pieces but he felt that it was not worth the current price and certainly not the original price of the game. I am inclined to agree with him . It is expensive but I have only removed 1 star as the grandkids obviously were impressed!!
Not really an adult game, very basic, over with within 20 mins.
But works well for kids 8-10.
Simple instructions
The game is very well packaged, all pieces are protected and easy to put away after the play. Gameplay is super fun, sort of an entry level linear almost RPG like, with luck and chance as a main driver. There are some elements that allow player vs player interactions and competition is encouraged. The pieces and board are well made. My kids had loads of fun playing it and we are planing on expanding the game for some home made elements. Recommended!!
