This is a very good looking Scrabble set. From the tin box, to the ‘marbled’ tiles and the art deco style board, all very good. All a step up from the falling apart cardboard box I remember from my youth.

Speaking of which, I do not recall the old version having so many swear words.

Just something to be aware of.

    Otherwise, I recommend this version.

Simple design but elegant. Great look to it if you fancy something more unique than the standard scrabble but everything else is familiar. Would recommend!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGot this for about 22 and it’s ok at that level. Hoped that the letter holders might be wood but cheap plastic, unfortunately. The rest is ok though

Does not come with score pad. But otherwise good quality.

Collected the squares is difficult when putting it all away. Could do with some kind of funnel.

Tin is cool, board is nice and the tiles are nice. No score chart though, which is annoying, had to buy one.

I love this Art Deco version of Scrabble. The design of the board and tiles is really interesting but, for the price it retails, I expected..more. It’s a cardboard laminated playing board, four tile holders and the tiles in a bag. You don’t even get pencils or score pads!! Great idea but not value for money.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersSo it’s scrabble, but it does come in a tin box rather than a cardboard box, and the letters have a marbly pattern on them too in a quite lovely little bag. The board is still cardboard though. The review asks to comment on thickness, durability and stretch. I would say its about 2 inches thick while in the tin, thinner when it’s not. If you stack all the tiles on top of each other you could argue it’s taller rather than thicker, but considering semantics, you could regard it as very thick if arranged in such a manner. In terms of durability, it has lasted at least 3 full games, and 2 when the board got thrown, and it still works. No fading of tiles, wearing of board nor rusting of tin has occurred. Unfortunately it does let itself down in terms of stretch. I found neither the tiles or board have any stretch at all, and the durability of the board is very much called into question when stretched. The tin has a bit more flex but is really quite awkward to return to its original shape. Overall, an entertaining game full of some f**king obscene words, with plenty opportunity for causing arguments but absolutely no material elasticity whatsoever.

The marbled tiles are horrible, half have no marbling at all and the others look as if they have ink spilt on them and someone has tried to rub it off. Not classy u

I like the traditional scrabble set, the tiles are good but it would be nice with wooden tile place holders as plastic ones are not really art deco.

It is supplied with a bag to hold the scrabble pieces. Not bad for the price but not true Art Deco.

Really nice set, the board and Tim are great. I was surprised that the tiles were cheap plastic, and the tile holders were the same. I was hoping for more for this price.
