Help – there’s no or very little suction. What can I do?
It’s most likely that there’s some air getting in somewhere, which means the pump won’t work properly. Make sure that the horn forms a comfortable seal around your breast. Adjust your position if you need to. Also follow these steps:
Step 1:
Check that the diaphragm cup is sitting on the top of the pump body. Make sure it’s been pushed down all the way around the top of the circumference to make a good seal.
Step 2:
Check that the connector rod is sitting properly in the diaphragm cup. The rod should be pushed through so that the big part sits under, and the small part sits above the base of the diaphragm.
Step 3:
Check that there are no tears on the diaphragm cup. Check the valve is clean and opens easily. Give it a gentle squeeze if it’s stuck.

This manual pump is smaller than I expected but even better as I can take it with me when going out. It fit nicely in my handbag. In addition it is very gentle and soft but powerful. Good one to recommend.
It’s so portable and easy to use, you can take it anywhere, and it feels so soft against your skin. It’s small enough that you can easily store it in a diaper bag or backpack, which is perfect for on-the-go moms like me who don’t have time to stop and pump every time they’re away from home. And if you’re using it at work, or just don’t want to be interrupted while doing something else.
The soft feel and ergonomic handle make this machine easy to use, and the strong suction makes it easy to express milk quickly.

This handheld pump is easy to use. You just pump at your leisure. It’s manual so you can use it on the go and it’s pretty compact so it’s perfect for travel. Sometimes you just don’t have time for the electric pumps. Plus it’s well priced and it attaches to any size of Tommee Tippee bottle.
Really good quality manual pump as you would expect from TT. The pump is eeasy to use and can then but converted to a bottle or milk storage pot.
The pump isnt as strong as some of the electrical ones but it certainly does the job fine.

I ordered this single manual breast pump for Tommee Tippee for a friend who will be needing use of it in a couple of months time. It’s exactly the same as another from the same brand I used while breastfeeding and I found it so much better than an electric pump. I didn’t produce a big amount of milk and sometimes trying to get just 2oz from the electric pump was a struggle but with this manual pump, I managed to double the amount.
These pumps are really well made and as long as your using the right size flange it will great a good suction.
Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is struggling with milk coming in or just not producing much.
For the price, it’s good value and I have no doubt it will last until the baby stops drinking milk.

For a tommee tippee item, this item did not disappoint as usual. It arrived in a nicely designed pink box. Inside the box is everything you need – a pump, bottle, lid and a slow flow teat. The pump is easy to use even if you don’t look at the instructions, is a comfortable fit, and the bottle is easy to hold, thick and sturdy. For a manual pump, this is really good. I found that it is easy to operate and was impressed with how quiet it is.
I also found that it is fairly ergonomic as well, light and perfect for on-the-go occasions when you need milk.

It’s a good and sturdy product.
When you have yo deal with a newborn you can’t have something flimsy as there is a new mouth to feed.
The funnel is soft and big enough and will leave you feel comfortable.
I remember that I didn’t have very good equipment when my kids were born and I would have been very happy with a product like this.

A good straight forward pump to set up and use. Typical of any other manual, it is very comfortable to use and has good pump action. It’s easy to disconnect and clean.
You can’t go wrong with tommee tippee!
Included in the box is the pump, the bottle, a slow flow teat and a storage lid.
The pump fits easily in your hand and can easily be used one handed. I’ve used this a few times whilst feeding my baby and find it manageable.

This is a great breast pump kit, it’s just the job for expressing Mum’s milk when she’s going to be away from baby, when the Mum’s partner is feeding baby, when Mum’s breasts feel uncomfortably full etc. It’s all good quality and is easy to use and to clean.

Great to throw in your bag when your on the go, and need to pump. I found it quite difficult to adjust to having used an electric pump, but did the job!

This tommee tippee breast pump is a manual one (not electric) and it is very basic. That being said, it is also well made. It comes with a 150ml Closer to Nature baby bottle which attaches to the pump, which you can then put the included bottle top onto to feed baby. The pump feels comfortable to use, and fits well. In some ways I actually feel like I get more from this than my electric one. It is quite expensive considering how basic it is and vs the electric version, but pleased with it anyway and I would recommend.
