I bought this to replace a similar wire that was simply too long. I was not disappointed, sound quality is as good as ever. Nice solid connections and a very sturdy cable.
Not sure if the ‘gold plated’ connectors are metal, they look more like painted plastic, but overall the cable is good quality and a lot heavier duty than the one I needed to replace.
I used it to connect my tv to my hi fi stereo and the sound quality is excellent delighted with this product and the price was excellent for the amount of cable 15 m. Thank you seller very happy with my experience and service kind regards Alan.
Better than I expected in both the quality of cable and professionally pressed gold plated plugs that are sturdy and fit well in there sockets on TV and Blueray surround system..Great price for a good produc
Bought these leads to connect my sound bar to my Virgin 360 Box. The sound seems much better quality and better synchronised than when I connected the sound bar directly to the tv with the supplied audio leads.
I wasn’t expecting too much but this is a really well made cable. The plugs fit into both the TV and the HC amp with a nice ‘click’ and while the cable itself is quite thick (feels substantial for an optical lead) it’s also supple enough to route easily. No issues with signal transmission so for me it’s a very satisfactory purchase and I’ll most likely buy the brand again. Recommended.
Used this to connect my PC to an A/V receiver situated some distance away, and despite TOSLINK having a max cable length of around 5 metres the 7.5 metre cable I got still works flawlessly. The gold plating is entirely pointless as it’s not an electrical conductor nor is it analogue, but still. Works well even for long runs of cable that exceed the maximum length of TOSLINK.
So far so good. It feels quality stuff, very economical relative to other sellers in the market. The sound quality is great and could not notice any issues even at longer lengths of cable.
Works as intended, I’m not really into my audio so can’t really comment of where its great or just good sound. I have no issues, sound is clear, no latency.
only thing is mention is make sure your port is not obstructed or indented in a way that this won’t fit. you see that the actual connection (gold bit) sticks out and then it goes into the black circle surround.. The surround is circle and my speakers port has a square indent so the connection doesn’t click in. see picture of the old connection and this one.
These cables just simply ooze quality. Pretty basic packing (plastic bag) but that’s not a complaint – they arrived safe and sound, and a day earlier than predicted.
No negatives at all. Smashing cables.
Positives, and this from someone who has fiddled his hi-fi and sound systems to death, from the get-go they just feel very, very good. The business ends are gold plated (don’t know whether they’re really gold, but they look it!), but when you clip them in to your digital out socket there’s a very satisfying and positive click, just to let you know they’re well and truly seated. The effort to push them home is sufficient to let you know that they’re going to stay where they’re put. Ditto when you have to remove them, as you might well have to: there is enough resistance to let you know they’re well-seated and just won’t drop out on a whim. Give a bit of a sensible tug and they’re free.
The cables unravel the way all cables should, without fuss and once out of their initial rolled up state just lie flat, no kinks. Too, and for me a positive, though some might find it a negative, the covering of the cables is somewhat slide-resistant, in that you’re better off pushing and pulling them at the same time through small spaces and round corners and obstacles, I prefer this because it feels as though they’re going to stay where they’re put. The fact that they don’t wrinkle up helps placement, which is pretty much a once-over job – once in place they’re not designed to be moved about much. Of course, if you’re forever fiddling with your home music/cinema setup, you may wish to remember that these cables don’t feel as though they’d slip out of a convoluted passageway with a big heave-ho – you’d be better off with the aforementioned pushing and pulling.
Very satisfied: I bought two each of the 5m and 10m lengths, and have no complaints from the business end of things – my sounds are perfect and where and how they should be.
Highly recommend.
