Had this from another project, I was looking for a 2.5g injector but out curiosity I plugged this into my WiFi access point.
Everything shows it happily running 2.5g and WiFi speeds have increased to.
Not officially a feature but with my setup and cables it works
Not had a long test of it
Simple to install
Phone powers up, data is working – all is good, with less desk clutter
Hopefully it will live a long and useful life
If you really only need a single POE connection then this works fine, but it’s quite expensive for just one output. Much better value if it had two outputs. A 5 port POE switch is not a lot more money, but much better value. Otherwise it does the job.
This is the second TP-Link PoE (Power over Ethernet) injector i have purchased. This one is powering a Netgear AX610 access point as the Netgear 12v Power supply was crazy money! The injector allows you to power any PoE device, while passing through network traffic. Easy to install and comes with rawplugs/screws and mounting bracket for wall mounting. A good price break on the product and supports the older and newer PoE standards
My Reolink PVR was too old to take advantage of the doorbell features so this was a perfectly cheap option for the doorbell (whilst still being able to record to the PVR)
I’ve had 4 of these for powering Reolink CCTV cameras via POE and TP Link Omada access points. All are working well with no issues. My network tester showed a good power throughput with no fluctuations.
My first time buying a POE injector. I wanted 802.3at and assume it is working in that mode when hooked up to a meraki MR42.
It comes with the cloverleaf laptop-style power lead, which isn’t made clear in the description. A good job since those leads are surprisingly expensive to purchase on their own.
Seems well built but be careful and check how much voltage your appliance needs especially if you use a poe splitter for security cameras and the length of the cable run
better off buying a 4 port or more of the same brand for more flexibility
Bought this to power my Hikvison IP PTZ camera as my POE hub was at its limit. Works great would recommend using your own cat 6 cable rather than the cat 5 in the box for CCTV cameras
