Suggested Baits
- No take-away baits.
- Only use a tiny amount baits to lure them trigger traps. Don’t let them swipe baits without standing on the trap.
- Use ropy baits like peanut butter or chocolate cream, spreading out in cup, so mice need to draw near to lick, increasing the possibility of catching.
Some Tips
- Be patient. Most mice or rats are naturally wary of new objects in the areas they frequent. Please wait patiently until they been caught.
- Don’t touch traps or baits with bare hands, it’s better wear gloves. Human scents scare them away.
- Choose correct trap place position. Put the trap near the wall or corner where mice often hang around, keep the open mouth towards wall, away from 1cm. Decrease the possibility of mice escaping.
Warnings
- Don’t touch the mouse trap with your fingers after setting.
- Keep away from children and pets.
- Use a stick if you want to release the trap clamp.

It only took a few hours to catch the mouse that was bugging us (used a bit of peanut butter). From the looks of it the mouse died instantly and didn’t struggle at all
I’ve tried a few different traps over the years and nothing has worked as well as these.
Well made and did the job required.
Well worth the money as they are much more expensive on the high street.
Can’t fault the traps, worked really well, successful the first night we tried them (caught the single mouse in our house). Definitely recommend these traps for extermination, easy to set, fair price and evidently sensitive enough to work as intended.
Just caught my first rat. Very happy. Followed the rules and set the bait for a week before setting the traps. Caught a rat this morning on the first day of set traps!
These traps are easy to set and they do the job.
The only downside is it’s a bit fiddly cleaning out the old bait.
I would definitely buy more if needed.
I’ve always used humane traps before and it has upset me having to resort to this but we now live adjacent to a building site and a field and mice have become a real problem and it left us no option than to go down the extermination route. We’ve baited with Nutella and peanut butter and both have been successful. Winessing the force of these traps when activated I’m pretty certain death is almost instant.
This brand was recommended by a friend who had had success so ordered them for myself. For the first time in a year we are actually mouse free. Coupled with a rubber strip on the bottom of the garage door these have been very successful
Got woken up at night by some mice in our attic, decided to buy these traps and set them up with some cheese and peanut butter. 1 hour to the minute later did I hear the first trap go off. Went up and cleaned it up and set it again, 5 minutes later it went off again.
It is a bit a cruel way to get rid of them, but effective.
We noticed a mess in a kitchen cupboard very recently – a mouse had clearly ripped through a bag of flour, could see mouse droppings in there for the first time. I bought some other traps from Amazon and set them in the cupboard with peanut butter as a lure, nothing captured and bait taken. Pest control came around 2 days ago and have set poison bait under the kitchen units, but I had read they can take up to 7 days to kill mice that ingest them, so wanted to get a heard start and decided to buy these traps. Set 6 inside the original cupboard and within 3 hours the first mouse was caught. Unfortunately only the leg was trapped so we had to finish him off, which isn’t ideal for all parties. Glad we’re tackling the problem however!
Easy to add bait and set the mechanism, much better than the old style traps with the delicate pin that make you worried you’re going to have your finger caught in them when setting them up. These ones simply clip back and can be easily placed into the desired location with no risk of injury – very powerful spring mechanism too so highly likely to do the job. Would recommend using peanut butter as bait as seems to work well
Had these two days and caught 4 mice in them. Two on each night they have been set. Works brilliantly with peanut butter. Easy to set up. Easy to dispose of dead mice once caught without even touching them. Would highly recommend!
Superb traps, easy to set and they do exactly what they need to do. I find peanut butter to be the best bait and, invariably, it is still in the trap after a kill so you can just quickly reset them and you’re good to go again. Not for the squeamish, you will have to dispose of the corpses….
Caught A lot of mice with these traps . Although take care of your fingers when setting the traps .very fast action.
Does the job. Over and over again.
Like the yellow bar so you can see if it’s still up the trap have been triggered. Good for able to tell if the tap is in a dark part of the house
Very effective worked the first night I used them easy to use
Very easy to use and well made. My husband put 3 traps out, we used peanut butter on them – the 1st night we caught a mouse. The 2nd night we caught 3.
Highly recommend the traps.
Put these rat traps out with a bit of peanut butter and less than 24hours later I had my first customer. I originally thought the were mice, but clearly young rats.
Easy and safe to use with a strong spring. I used a piece of old roasted bread and they got them (mice) all.
Laid 6 traps and caught two mice on the first night. Recommend melting chocolate onto it so they can’t steal it easily.Hope the success continues.
Bought it in March, has set the trap up since March but only caught him till now in May. He’s very smart, he knows our trap is right in front of his hole so he hesitated to come out. I guess he couldn’t wait any longer since he’s stayed in there for 2 months without food, that’s how he got trapped.
The first time I tried the traps I didn’t catch any mice but a few days later I ended up catching 5. One of them I caught with a glue trap. It was a baby mouse. I guess it was too light to activate the snap trap, so if you’re trying to catch baby mice I wouldn’t recommend using this trap. Ended up filling the mouse holes with a foam filler so that’s my mouse problem solved (..hopefully)
Purchased the same product a few years ago, they have become a little difficult to set through wear and tear so thought it was time to replace them, pleased to find the same ones available so purchased without hesitation and can report they work exceptionally well. Simple to set and achieve the expected results, highly recommended.
I had a problem with what I thought was 1 mouse, which turned out to be 2, set the traps and caught 2 mice straight away. Very impressed at the quality of the traps.
I bought a 6 Pack of these and glad to say it worked like a dream.I set 2 of the 6 behind the washing machine where I thought they were coming in and on the first night,I had a confirmed kill.
The mouse managed to steal the bait from the first trap, which was part of an almond but didn’t make it past my lurpak butter lure.
Snapped shut perfectly around its neck.Very happy with the traps.5 Stars
Decently strong spring – folded the mice through 90 degrees every time.
Reasonable sensitivity to being triggered – I did get my finger in one when positioning it, but that’s clearly my clumsiness.
I am the mouse murderer of my village now.
In the cold weather I had a mouse running round the skirting board every night. Tried setting a couple of these traps with peanut butter for a few nights, but no joy. The next night I tried filling the tiny bait cup with hot chocolate powder. Next morning – one fresh corpse. I did feel a bit guilty, but it looked like a swift kill. I popped the trap and mouse into an empty yoghurt pot, put the lid on and disposed of it in the bin. (You could undo the trap to remove dead mouse, so you could re-use each trap, but I didn’t fancy that!) The traps are quite small and lightweight and could be disturbed by wind, however I think they are good value.
This product succeeded where the traditional wooden type had failed. We just used a small smear of peanut butter inside the cup, making sure it was not able to be lifted away easily, and it did the job (twice so far).
Bought the traps as a mouse had found it’s way into our kitchen. Set 3 traps baited with peanut butter at 10pm, 2 hours later, trap snapped. The mouse was caught cleanly – easy dispose of mouse and reset.
Sadly this winter we were joined by some mice under our stairs where we store dry foods and cans. These unwelcome house guests ruined a large quantity of food and action had to be taken. I bought 6 of the mouse traps and installed a couple of them on their arrival – baited with peanut butter. The next morning I had caught a mouse followed by another the following morning. Having also put a finer grill over their supposed access point through the air bricks and this seems to have solved the problem. The traps were easy to set and use.
Due to fact u can bait these without setting them, they trust the traps quickly and withing 12 hours all traps had been cleaned out. Next baiting and setting them this time and and dealt with my problem within 24 hours. WARNING although the trap is quick and powerful the bar comes down on the head. If u are squeamish get someone with a strong stomach to clear the traps as the eyeballs on 2 were unforgettable to say the leas
Easy to set and deadly! A dab of peanut butter in the little pot works a treat. I use these in our shed after I spotted some nibbling on things. I wouldn’t worry about the smell of humans putting the mice off. The little pests were quite happy to nibble stuff that had already been well handled. I catch the odd one every so often and no longer see any evidence of damage to anything.
Most important things with traps are:
Easy to bait
Easy to empty
Adequate Triggering Sensitivity
Clean Kill
Based on a single night (will update review later if not reflective) these traps seem broadly effective. The only traps with taken bait (peanut butter) triggered and resulted in a kill. The traps are simple bait and simple to empty.
The only reason this is getting four stars is I think the spring system could be stronger, one of the two traps resulted in a clean kill (first time), the second not so much. For the mouse, this is unecessary suffering, and for the human(s) hearing the mouse trap bouncing around like tigger underneath the kitchen plinths it’s a bit disconcerting.
Overall though, did the trick and it’s impossible to argue that six traps for this price are less effective overall than one “high quality” trap for the same price.
Really pleased with this product, great value for money and very simple to use. Had more traditional wooden traps down for days and mice were able to get bait and not set trap off, less then 24hours with these ones and I’ve caught one. Very easy to remove mouse and reset, and no mess either. Does exactly what it says. Thank you I’m very pleased
These are great and do the job. I received my parcel in the evening and by the morning I had caught 2 mice, which was good as I thought I only had the 1.
The traps are easy to set, not like with the old wooden ones that always caught you finger when you were trying to put them down. You only need a small amount of bait which sits in the little holder so no more gluing food to traps.
