Everyone with a car with a ‘keyless’ key should use something like this to prevent ‘relay’ attacks, which are on the increase and allow the bad guys to nick your car even if the key is indoors.
These seem to work: operating the key while it is inside the pouch produces no reaction from the car.
Car Key in the pocket, and then crook-lock key on the loop. The latter will still fit in the Car Key pocket. Then hang the thing on handbag, or belt loop with the clip. Not overly large but bigger than it seems on first look.
Works well with good textured material. What I don’t understand with any of these products is why they don’t design the seams knowing it will hold a key. It’s basically 2 pieces of flat material sewn together, so it all rucks up with a key inside.
It is well made and of good quality. When in the car, and the fob was in the purchased pouch, the car would not start. The case does what it says it can do. A good purchase.
I can simply have key in the pouch and unlock my car. Basically it’s a unless pouch doing nothing on RFID side. Please save your money. Also Amazon doesn’t allow you to return if you have missed the return window.
This does exactly what it is meant to do, prevent the transmission of radio waves from keys to an outside receiver (including the car). My only (slight) gripe is that it would be easier to use if it was a little bigger. It can be fiddly to put a key plus key ring into the bag. It only just holds two keys with the rings removed.
Looks great but it is not very durable.The car signal is not blocked when the key is in a pouch just after six months.It easily looses the ability to block the signal.
I bought these after my last ones failed after 6 months, my previous ones had a metal chain and ring which I think rubbed the material . These pouches have a nylon cord and plastic attachment so I’m hoping will last longer. Pouches Velcro is strong pleased with product to date
Having bought a couple of similar leather pouches before, that didn’t work, I was eager to test these out. They work as advertised.
Blocking the signal from ‘Keyless’ entry key fobs (2 with new car). So we are now safe from the vehicle thieves who capture the ‘key’ signal and steal your car without ever needing your original key.
Excellent Quality, Tested successfully and confirm blocks keyless entry/comfort entry for BMW and Mercedes. Replaced my older different brand key cases which seemed to no longer stop the signal. Maybe the material wears away with use.
